This was the issue city issued pagers, city issued credit cards to buy the rooms on city funded business trips. Dude been beating these brauds around here for a minute, I personally know several of them who he sent his security over to give them the mayors personal number or he would talk thru security (Actual executive on call Detroit Police Officers) who also have city funded phones. I nor anyone else ever mentioned any others chics just this issue in which he was busted 14,000 text messages c'mon dude dawg was slippin big time. While he's slipping we now have to pay for bulk trash pick up, all 12 of the police precincts got turned into about 6 Districts, The closed a ton of schools, their is no adequate parking in Detroit business districts, we are over taxed for our homes with less services. Thats why we care, the braud he fucking stay on the news here, cussing out cops getting tickets lost in the system, if u gone fuck behind ya wife back stop acting preidential and arrogant!!! inexplicably, just stood by and watched Mayor Kilpatrick and Christine
Beatty perjure themselves.
As Officers of the Court, McCargo and every member of Mayor Kilpatrick's
defense team should have reviewed his expected testimony in advance,
warned him against committing perjury, and resigned from the case when
he and Beatty persisted on taking the stand to lie to Judge Callahan,
the Jury, and the citizens of Detroit, Southeastern Michigan and the
rest of the state!!
As attorneys and counselors, McCargo's apparent failure to stand on
principle to protect his client, did not serve Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick
well. Notwithstanding the dismal performance of his lawyers, M.L, Mayor
Kilpatrick should resign from office, but he won't. The citizens of
Detroit, at least those who value honesty, integrity, morality and
respect for the letter and spirit of the law, should insist that the
Mayor resign and begin a recall process if he doesn't.
It's not likely that will happen either. My guess is that Mayor
Kilpatrick will caucus with the same shadowy group of supporters who,
after he and his mother insisted on his innocence and swore to appeal
the original Whistleblower verdict, convinced him that, with an election
looming in 2009, it was in his political interest to bury this case,
once and for all, by settling with Gary Brown, Harold Nelthrope and
Walter Harris.
I'm also reasonably sure that this group will advise him to, very
publicly, began to dispose of this raging controversy by throwing his
mistress, Christine Beatty, to the dogs!!! Then, being completely
faithful to his successful use of God and Religion for political
purposes, Mayor Kilpatrick will probably convene a Community Prayer
Meeting at a large Detroit Church to further reduce the political heat
by bamboozling the public into believing that he really wants to heal

In public statements and under oath, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has denied repeatedly over the past four years that he had a sexual relationship with his chief of staff, Christine Beatty. The issue was central to claims by former police officers who sued the city and Kilpatrick, accusing the mayor and Beatty of retaliation in part because of what the cops knew about Kilpatrick's private conduct. The Free Press obtained nearly 14,000 text messages from Beatty's city-issued paging device. The messages reveal hundreds of personal exchanges between the mayor and Beatty in September-October 2002 and April-May 2003. Many describe a sexual relationship, often graphicly. The two of them arranged trysts, plotted to spend nights together while traveling on city business and discussed their fears of being caught by the mayor's security team. The Free Press is excerpting some passages, but is withholding exchanges that refer explicitly to sex acts.

The termination of Deputy Police Chief Gary Brown
Under oath at trial and in depositions, Kilpatrick and Beatty denied firing Brown for pursuing an internal affairs investigation involving the mayor, his police bodyguards and staff. Brown said he was fired in part because the mayor and Beatty feared their relationship would be exposed. Kilpatrick and Beatty testified that the mayor merely revoked Brown's appointment as a deputy chief, effectively demoting him to lieutenant, and that Brown then chose to retire.

Kwame did not give us no superbowl. The superbowl was in detroit because Ford (as in NFL on fox is brought to you by Ford motor comapany) owns the lions and a good share of the NFL. You just don't get it. We aren't blaming anybody. It is what it is. Detroit was the reason the US won WWII. We had manufacturing on lock, but the problem at the end of the day was as soon as blacks FROM THE SOUTH (of which both my parents were) had good jobs and could move into traditionally all white neighborhoods. White folks got spooked and left for the burbs. That's why up until as recent as 2006 or so, the 2 whitest cities over 50K in the US by percentage were Detroit suburbs (Livonia and Warren).
When the white folks left, the businesses left. When the businesses left, the tax base left. City services suffered, crime increased, public schools deteriorated, and on and on and on. There are no major Grocery stores in the city. There is no major retail (all the malls and major retail just happen to be just outside the city, imagine that). Auto insurance is double or triple what you pay in the burbs.
So southern blacks didn't fuck up anything, but the D is full of 2nd or 3rd generation cats who are from Alabama, Mississippi and such who's people came up here looking for a better life. So don't be so sensitive and learn something.
