Why don't the men of the board ever talk about their kids?

On a free forum where you can talk about anything and everything, if you're not discussing women, sex, and sports...you're e-beefing.

Do you even feel passionately about your kids to discuss any problems or things that could be going on with them? It doesn't have to be specific even. Just a discussion about kids in general.

Why do you not do this? Do your kids live under the same roof? Do you actively participate in the rearing of your children?

I know if I had them I probably wouldn't.
 
i don't say anything about mine because some people on this board don't respect anything. and i can handle alot expect my kids being disrespected.

Women do it because their kids are on their minds. Is it not the same for men?

I asked the board about a bully problem I was having with my son in Kindergarden..

Some things you just don't discuss on a porn board or just any other general forum. If I needed any help, had any questions or just felt like talking about my daughter I have a circle of people in the real world that I can share that with.

Nah. I know plenty of men whos children are their pride and joy and they can't stop talking about their daughters violin recital or whatever and their face lights up when they do.

I disagree..I think all of those things can be talked about in the proper context.

It's more than just a porn board for me. It's more like a barbershop..

When I posted about my son...I figured "where else can I quickly get the perspective of 1000's of black men who may have had a similar experience"

Now don't get me wrong..there are a lot of characters here..and some questions/comments are asking for a clowning..(just like at the barbershop):lol:..

Would you talk about porn at a church service? Would you talk about trying to pick up women at a funeral? Would you talk about bombs at the airport? Gardening at a football game? Scenary to a blind man?

Some things are just inappropriate to discuss in certain settings and kids on a porn board is one of them. And do you really think most of the perspectives and the advice you would be getting is credible information?

BINGO! Speaking for myself if I felt I needed to talk I would PM someone I respected. I would never have an open discussion. I have buddies on BGOL who know my idenity so anonymity regarding family matters is important.

That being said, the type of stuff that goes on over there, would be tragic to have a kid swept up in the bullshit a la freaky 1s wife :smh:

But reading this thread and others, a lot of people get too personal and times when they shouldn't. Nothing wrong with it, but you should always be ready to suffer future reprecussions.

**EDIT** Now that I think back, some cat and his whole family got outted a while back on BGOL. Can't remember the poster's name but his wife and kids' pics were posted on BGOL. :smh:

I don't have any of my own...but if I did I wouldn't have any problems discussing them. This is SOL, not BGOL....HUGE difference. Now postin' pix of them would be something entirely different.
 
this is not the place for it... just like guys dont talk about their kids when they are chillin in the bar. Its a spot u go to temporarily escape.

I would love too, Because 3 of my teens, 2 girls and 1 male are seriously fucking up, And my 15 yr girl has a mouth, Mannish, Her mom makes it seem like She does every DAMN thing and it's like I'm Shit, I could go on, But imma leave it Alone. my other girl just manipulates shit between adults wants to be like her hot ass friends, Can't seem to wanna "Stand out on her Own", Her mom n her argue like there sisters, My son, Just a PUNK Ass altogether, Nooka softer than wet tissue I can't get this Nooka to take anything seriously

Well that's all I was saying. Not anything specific necessarily. Just general stuff. If you can talk about your job, your wife/girl, your ride, your house because they mean so much to you. Don't your kids mean as much too?

Anyway, I digress. Your kids are teens aren't they? :cool:

Like I responded to another poster. BGOL is not the appropriate place to have a discussion on kids. You dont go to an airline pilot for advice on physical fitness do you? A computer programmer on advice on teeth do you?

It's not just about the porn here but the lack of credibility of responses and anonymity of the situation.

Like another poster suggested, if you want advice about a personal topic ask a respected member with knowledge on that topic, OFFLINE.
 
I never thought about asking for advice about my baby girl because I don't feel like I should discuss my daughter on a site where I come to look at phat asses.

I did start a website for her that I will hand over to her once she is old enough to maintain and hopefully the site will become a household brand that she will own.

I see your point, but I don't think you give your BGOL brothers (and sisters) enough credit.

There are many people here capable of giving good advice or at least a different perspective.

At the end of the day you take it all with a grain of salt. I didn't say I took anybodies advice as "the gospel"

We are having a rational discussion that's not about porn right now....why couldn't it about TVs, PDAs, Jobs, Investments, Home Schooling,...or kids. I don't see the difference.:confused:
