Femm you disappoint me with this statement. If we could only stop our folks from comparing each other to other folks, and accept what we do as our thing, then we'd really make some progress. just because White men feel it's o.k. to discus the accomplishments of their children in any and all avenues, that doesn't make it appropriate. Honestly who really wants to have a discussion about child rearing right after watching a z-share clip of a this months porn superstar. Perhaps it's a cultural thing. however i hope you're not trying to infer that since the fathers on this board don't talk about their children here on BGOL, that they are in some way not as good or proud of their children as some white man who talks about his children while surfing though what ever porn site white mend surf though. have you considered also that perhaps the fathers are too proud of their children, and their accomplishments and existence that they don't think this is the proper place to discuss them? There is a time and place for everything.

Awww my kids..boy and girl..warms my heart. They are my life, everything to me. There is nothing I would not do for them, blood, sweat and tears. Age 2, and 7. I smile every time i think of them. My son is charmer, I watched him sneak his hands up his mom's hot friend and rub her butt..THAT"S MY BOY!!!

Not for a porn board, baby. Look, ask me what ever you want to know and I'll answer. But when I'm here, I come for the dumb azz conversation, the porn, sometimes some advice, the porn, I check out SOL to see what these crazy azz women are talking about as much as I check out the main board. But never, when I'mhere, are my kids on my mind, unless someone eles brings it up. I do feel strongly about black fatherhood though.
Just be there for your kids, whether their home with you or not, be there. It WILL matter in time!!!!

Well you are clearly the exception. The pride for your kids that you exhibit is amazing to say the least. It is this that I find lacking in most brothas and the point I was trying to make. When you love your children as much as you do, you can't help but discuss some aspect of being a father.

Why is this never discussed on the board? How you feel about fatherhood? Are you excited? What bothers you about it?

But based everything I've seen on BGOL most of these men don't have fathers ain't ain't tryna be fathers. Very, very, sad indeed.
