The "PPV" was good. Only one real upset IMO. The rest of the card went as expected.Thankx for keeping the thread alive. Looking forward in two weeks, where on SPIKE TV, the fights will be shown again. We'll discus the card and the favorite on that one.Helico-pterFunk said:How was the PPV for those who had a chance to check it out?
Well worth it?

props H-Funk.Helico-pterFunk said:Just a quick reminded for the fam' as per the other threads on pages 1 and 2 ... UFC 75 is on tonight (Saturday, Sept. 8th) FREE OF CHARGE on SPIKE TV. Make sure to check that out ... or try and catch a repeat broadcast as Spike is very good at reairing all their UFC content. Keep an eye on your programs or tv listings. And also ... keep an eye out for UFC 76 on PPV in 2 weeks. That's on Saturday, September 22nd, 2007. That night will feature the likes of Forrest Griffin, Diego Sanchez & several others doin' their thing in their respective classes. As for tonight ... keep an eye out for the champions going at it. RAMPAGE JACKSON vs. DAN HENDERSON ... UFC vs. PRIDE ... solid. Holla at ya fam' & make sure to hit up JOHNIZ's site at the aforementioned linkage up top. He does it right at his MMA/BOXING blog, and has always blessed the board here as per this thread the past year. Have a great weekend, EVERYONE.

H-Funk,
What are your predictions for the Saturday's UFC? Other than Shogun, card looks ho-hum.

H-Funk,
DO NOT sleep on Machida.
So far, he's a pure winner.

LIDDELL/JARDINE ~ I'm thinking LIDDELL. Even though Jardine's got some heavy hands.
RUA/GRIFFIN ~ Tough one to call. I'm thinking SHOGUN's got this one. I can't say I'm too, too familiar with his game on the whole ... but I do know he's a living legend and fan fave in the sport from having seen bits/pieces of his career over the years, and read up on dude. I need to Youtube/Dailymotion up some of his content prior to Saturday to get a better feel for his complete skillset. Should be interesting to see how he fares in a cage setting (in that some of the recent Pride arrivals haven't done so well, especially Cro Cop). As for Griffin - he's a tough muthafucka and all ... but he doesn't have that "wow" factor like he did for awhile after seemingly coming out of nowhere ... winning TUF 1, and then putting on that amazing stand-up battle for 15 mins with Bonnar a few years ago. That fight was classic. The amount of punches thrown/landed, and the heart/drive in both. Holy big porno titties, Batman!
SANCHEZ/FITCH - DIEGO's got this one. He'd better! You know he's still pissed as a muthafucka after losing to Koscheck in recent memory. Plus he's a fan fave ... the crowd will be behind him. Tough kid. Fitch, although good, is still making a name for himself (with fans, that is). Talented ... but nowhere near 'known'. Had Diego NOT lost to Josh K' and kept his record intact ... holy shit ... he'd probably come into that joint this Saturday and steamroll (or at least try to) Fitch. * Keep in mind though, as noted on Wikipedia - FITCH is currently on a 13-fight win streak. My bad ... ya never know. Jon might pull out the W.
NAKAMURA/MACHIDA - Unsure ... unfamiliar with both.
GRIFFIN/TAVARES - I think THIAGO's got this one.
SARAIVA/STEPHENS - Undecided on this one ... both are solid fighters. Who you got, J'?
JUNK/WELLISCH - What the fuck kinda surnames are these cats rockin'?
OMIGAWA/WIMAN - Unfamiliar with OMIGAWA ... but WIMAN seemed like a decent fighter on TUF 5 earlier this year. Who you got, J'?
JOHNSON/CLEMENTI - I'm thinking CLEMENTI's got this one. I was impressed with Rich's skillset when he appeared on TUF, and seeing older clips/footage of him. Seems like a tough cat. Not as familiar with JOHNSON.
BGOL fam' posted this interview clip elsewhere earlier in '07. Shit's pretty wild/funny.
Then-Light Heavyweight champ' CHUCK 'THE ICE MAN' LIDDELL on Good Morning Texas in early-March slurring his speech and falling asleep.
Whatcha got, fam'? Is he:
- Jetlagging?
- Hungover?
- Brain damagified?
- Plain ol' tired?
- Or did that mufucka hit the green room's AM mini bar up something serious pre-interview ('cuz he's usually nervous in that type of environment anyhow)?
No wonder our guy QUENTIN 'RAMPAGE' JACKSON took him out easily in late-May for the 2nd time in their collective career work.

Try this. It has been posted on BGOL b4 with some success. www.sportsonpc.com
It worked last time, but it failed during the Hopkins-Wright fight.
Looking forward to Shogun and I hope they showcase Machida, who should have had a title shot by now. His opponent tonight may ruin his plans of being a champion.

Tyson Griffin vs Thiago Tavares will be the fight of the night
