In case you missed it

I just put the kids on a plane to Cali for the whole summer   so my vacation was chasing my wife all around the house all week lol. We didn't go no where. I'll take another week before the summers over though. Any suggestions?

You should have left the kids chasin' wifey around the house, and hopped on the plane yourself, brother ... just sayin' :)

Well worth it?
The "PPV" was good. Only one real upset IMO. The rest of the card went as expected.Thankx for keeping the thread alive. Looking forward in two weeks, where on SPIKE TV, the fights will be shown again. We'll discus the card and the favorite on that one.

PS, be on the lookout for Roger Huerta

thanks to Johniz to the links for the PPV card and definitely thanks to Helicopter for keeping the thread alive.

JOHNIZ & COOLIE569,

Much respect, fam'.

I'm gonna download a few links just prior to headin' out the door in a minute. Fortunately I haven't spoiled it yet by reading results. I only glanced at the result in the local newspaper on Sunday morning (in regards to the result from the heavyweight square-off).

Spike TV's doing a very good job promoting the UFC brand. Happy to see all the COUNTDOWN, UFC ALL ACCESS, FIGHT NIGHT LIVE & so on content they've aired in recent years. Not to mention THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER which has a new season startin' again in a month's time in late-September, if I remember correctly. Should be good, as always. Also ... like JOHNIZ said ... got some UFC PPV content coming free of charge in 2 weeks times. UFC 75 on SPIKE TV. Should be dope to check that out. Rampage/Henderson is gonna be featured. Nice. Lookin' forward to that, and always gonna do our best to keep this thread active/alive. Closing in on 24,000 PAGEVIEWS right now for your thread here, JOHNIZ. Big props, brother!

Sounds good.

UFC 75 PPV EVENT = Saturday, September 8th, 2007 from London, England. FREE OF CHARGE - SPIKE TV. Enjoy, everyone.

Also ... Mike Goldberg noted on the PPV that the forthcoming season of the reality show THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER will be debuting on September 19th, and then for the weeks following that will slot into its regular timeslot of Wednesday evenings.

In recent years ... it has usually aired on Mondays or Thursdays ... and SPIKE always does a good job in rebroadcasting all of their most popular content a handful of times leading up to the following week's broadcast.

Just a quick reminded for the fam' as per the other threads on pages 1 and 2 ... UFC 75 is on tonight (Saturday, Sept. 8th) FREE OF CHARGE on SPIKE TV. Make sure to check that out ... or try and catch a repeat broadcast as Spike is very good at reairing all their UFC content. Keep an eye on your programs or tv listings. That night will feature the likes of Forrest Griffin, Diego Sanchez & several others doin' their thing in their respective classes. As for tonight ... keep an eye out for the champions going at it. RAMPAGE JACKSON vs. DAN HENDERSON ... UFC vs. PRIDE ... solid. Holla at ya fam' & make sure to hit up JOHNIZ's site at the aforementioned linkage up top. location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Big props, JOHNIZ.

Thank you for the UFC & ELITEXC content!

http://mmameetsboxing.blogspot.com/ is looking solid as per always too. Big respect.

Ey - how many years has it been since LAWLER last fought in the UFC? That cat was fun to watch. I was checking out one of the older UFC UNLEASHED compilation shows the other week and they again showed that fight between NICK DIAZ / him from a handful of years ago. That shit was fun to check out ... both cats were & are quick with their knuckles.

Speaking of Nick Diaz - I wonder how younger brother NATE is gonna fare in the UFC in the months/years to come? He got quite lucky in that TUF 4 finale against MANNY G' earlier this year. HAD Manny not injured his shoulder so severely and so soon ... that would have been really exciting to see. Gamburyan's a powerhouse in his own right!

REMINDER - tonight - WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th, 2007 -

http://www.ufc.com/

Check your local listings this evening as SPIKE is airing UFC UNLEASHED / FIGHT NIGHT LIVE followed by the SEASON 6 PREMIERE OF 'THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER'.

This time around it's former champ vs. current champ coach-wise.

TEAM HUGHES vs. TEAM SERRA.

Hughes = coach from a prior season & guest/assistant coach in recent memory.

Serra = contestant on season 4's slew of fighters looking for their comeback glory, and current champion after defeating GSP earlier this year.

Should be good!

J',

What did you think of the good Spike programming last night? UFC UNLEASHED / ULTIMATE FIGHT NIGHT LIVE / season premiere of TUF 6.

I taped it and checked it out when I got home. I was really impressed with the fights from Diaz, Leben, Florian. Good to see all those former TUF competitors doing their thing ... and looks like Leben's back on track (living/training in Hawaii now - in much better shape - more focused - got a win back under his belt after having lost 3 out of 4 in recent memory).

My predictions for UFC 76 this coming Saturday, Sept. 22nd?

LIDDELL/JARDINE ~ I'm thinking LIDDELL. Even though Jardine's got some heavy hands.

RUA/GRIFFIN ~ Tough one to call. I'm thinking SHOGUN's got this one. I can't say I'm too, too familiar with his game on the whole ... but I do know he's a living legend and fan fave in the sport from having seen bits/pieces of his career over the years, and read up on dude. I need to Youtube/Dailymotion up some of his content prior to Saturday to get a better feel for his complete skillset. Should be interesting to see how he fares in a cage setting (in that some of the recent Pride arrivals haven't done so well, especially Cro Cop). As for Griffin - he's a tough muthafucka and all ... but he doesn't have that "wow" factor like he did for awhile after seemingly coming out of nowhere ... winning TUF 1, and then putting on that amazing stand-up battle for 15 mins with Bonnar a few years ago. That fight was classic. The amount of punches thrown/landed, and the heart/drive in both. Holy big porno titties, Batman!

SANCHEZ/FITCH - DIEGO's got this one. He'd better! You know he's still pissed as a muthafucka after losing to Koscheck in recent memory. Plus he's a fan fave ... the crowd will be behind him. Tough kid. Fitch, although good, is still making a name for himself (with fans, that is). Talented ... but nowhere near 'known'. Had Diego NOT lost to Josh K' and kept his record intact ... holy shit ... he'd probably come into that joint this Saturday and steamroll (or at least try to) Fitch. * Keep in mind though, as noted on Wikipedia - FITCH is currently on a 13-fight win streak. My bad ... ya never know. Jon might pull out the W.

NAKAMURA/MACHIDA - Unsure ... unfamiliar with both.

GRIFFIN/TAVARES - I think THIAGO's got this one.

SARAIVA/STEPHENS - Undecided on this one ... both are solid fighters. Who you got, J'?

JUNK/WELLISCH - What the fuck kinda surnames are these cats rockin'?

OMIGAWA/WIMAN - Unfamiliar with OMIGAWA ... but WIMAN seemed like a decent fighter on TUF 5 earlier this year. Who you got, J'?

JOHNSON/CLEMENTI - I'm thinking CLEMENTI's got this one. I was impressed with Rich's skillset when he appeared on TUF, and seeing older clips/footage of him. Seems like a tough cat. Not as familiar with JOHNSON.

Uppage,

BGOL fam' posted this interview clip elsewhere earlier in '07. Shit's pretty wild/funny.

Then-Light Heavyweight champ' CHUCK 'THE ICE MAN' LIDDELL on Good Morning Texas in early-March slurring his speech and falling asleep.

Whatcha got, fam'? Is he:

- Jetlagging?
- Hungover?
- Brain damagified?
- Plain ol' tired?
- Or did that mufucka hit the green room's AM mini bar up something serious pre-interview ('cuz he's usually nervous in that type of environment anyhow)?

No wonder our guy QUENTIN 'RAMPAGE' JACKSON took him out easily in late-May for the 2nd time in their collective career work.

Try this. It has been posted on BGOL b4 with some success. www.sportsonpc.com
It worked last time, but it failed during the Hopkins-Wright fight.

Looking forward to Shogun and I hope they showcase Machida, who should have had a title shot by now. His opponent tonight may ruin his plans of being a champion.

Can't check it out later, bro. 4:50pm, and I'm working a 7pm - 7am (leaving the house at 6:30pm and getting back around 7:20am).
