Trump got rid of he Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) aka 'Obama's Deal" back in 2018 during his first term, while Iran strengthened global business deals with other nations, including China and Russia. That old deal is NEVER EVER coming back. Iran is in a much better position globally with most of the U.S. Military Bases destroyed in that region plus an iron-clad control of the Straight of Hormuz and the Straight of Bab al-Mandab in partnership with the nation of Oman with FEEs, no longer FREE to the world.
Iran effectively evicted the U.S. military and negotiated war reparations ($24B in unfrozen assets plus $300B) to re-open the world's global supplies. The U.S. only had weeks of remaining oil reserves. That "drill baby drill" and "we don't need Iran!!" nonsense are from village idiots, NOT based in reality. Reality that included Trump PROMPTLY signing the Iran's MOU with no sharpie pen ceremony.
Israel's bigger brother got it's ass kicked and dog-walked on the said football field (military battle field) in front of the entire world. Hence why Trump QUICKLY signed the MOU.
This was more of a jaw-jacking. This wasn't a (boots on the ground) fight. And even then we don't "win" those wars. We just end them in better shape than the other guy. See every war from Vietnam War on.

Prices are NEVER going down! Anything that has to go through that strait, that cost is being passed on to us. Hell, even if products don't go through, companies can raise prices BECAUSE of that cost!!
