UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

NONE of this makes sense!!! This election was won off of RACISM!!!! Investing in Black anything wasn't going to do NOTHING! Kamala going on Joe Rogan wouldn't have changed anyones mind.

Trump had 4 years of campaigning! 4 years of telling people that times are still tough as they were during the pandemic that he practically caused. 4 years of seeing Biden fall asleep and calling him Sleepy Joe. 4 years of saying Kamala slept her way to her ELECTED position as AG. That she was a DEI hire. 4 years of saying he'd have everybody's problems solved on day 1. Jobs, wars, economy, groceries, etc...DAY 1. NONE of this has ANYTHING to do with Black investments. I would have LOVED to hear Karen Hunter and Kamala Harris talk on Urban View, but that would not have swayed the election.

This election was a Intellect vs Racist mindset. Never underestimate the stupidity of a racist. Black people knew the plan. Hispanics and while people were under this delusion that life was going to be better now.
people still dont want to accept the simple fact, its like they refuse to accept the facts & the ultimate truth . ist liek a cope mechanism to help keep them from looking at& facing the racism in the system

So young athletes don't vote? Protesting is a young man's game, but it's the old people that support those young people. Today young people don't want to fight and old people have failed the next generation in so many way.

Fred Hampton was 21 years old WHEN HE DIED!!! SNCC stood for Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, emphasis on student. We got the rights we have BECAUSE of young people! These motherfcukers took dog bites and ass whoopings because the elders couldn't. And the elders passed collection plates, put houses up for bail, hid folks and wired money.
This is a simplistic and perhaps idealistic breakdown of what actually happened.

When I was a kid, our library teacher showed us film clips (real film, not digital) of church ladies, men, women, old and young, being attacked by police dogs and with fire hydrants because they wanted to vote and be treated like equal human beings.

The division of labor, if you will, that you speak of might be something you heard, or were told, but it is not quite the truth. My grandmother was an activist ( and no spring chicken at the time) who helped Coleman Young, the first black mayor of Detroit get elected. If you are not aware, he integrated the police force, ending the reign of terror that was the "big four".

A lot of old people led the way, just like today. You only have ONE congressman with the balls to protest in the so-called presidents face, while folk like Mr. Booker skins and grins for the audience.

I will always say this, not all black churchs are the same.....

The only Black church in the universe where the pastor is driving a Ford Fusion!!!

I don't know if he's driving that or not, but I REFUSE to poo-poo on this man or his church!

Dems raised a billion dollars in 2024, where did all that money go?

Also, establishment Dems may insist they are perfect and don't need to change a thing, but donors are saying they're not throwing money away to just run this shit back.

Simplistic is doing A LOT of the heavy lifting in what I was trying to convey, as I wanted to argue the point of young people in protest. I will give push back on idealistic only because it makes it seem like I am romanticizing that timeframe. You more than likely aren't putting it that way, but I am going based off of what my father and my grandfather (mothers father) told me.

I did not mean it that way.

20 somethings have been getting dumber and dumber for a couple of generations. Personally, I think the current crop of 20 somethings are significantly smarter than 10, 20 years ago.

If we are to avoid completely falling back into an apartheid state, young people are key. They have historically (60s and prior) been the ones who drive significant change.

Baby boomers and older often fall for the bs laid out by folks like Cory Booker. They support Schumer and the like. They are essentially, part of the problem.

I am not disagreeing with the gist of what you said. It did seem a bit idealistic, but I was not trying to characterize you thusly.

I stand corrected.

...so we disagree to agree?!?!? The hell??? This has got to be the NICEST disagreement in BGOL's history!!! "NO, YOU'RE NICER THAN I AM!!!!" FCUK YOU SIR! YOU'RE NICER THAN ME!!!!" "You're so nice you took ICE out just because you didn't want that associated with you! You're just 'N'!!!"

Why would you give losers more money? They’re losers!
