Democrats 2024 Election Autopsy Reveals a Black Problem

"The biggest problem I’ve been vocal about for years with the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates is that they do not listen.

There’s a difference between running a campaign and winning an election.

Winning requires direct, decisive messaging that speaks to people with different interests, different concerns, and different lived experiences. It cannot be blanket messaging repeated over and over again.

The message has to be authentic, targeted, and delivered at scale by people who actually understand the communities they’re trying to reach.

If the DNC and the Democratic Party continue refusing to invest in Black creatives, Black media, Black strategists, and Black marketing companies, their message will continue to fall flat and sound like the same recycled promises that never get delivered.

You all spent billions of dollars paying high priced marketing firms just to be told to roll out rappers and singers, repeat the same slogans over and over again, and somehow expect different results.

That’s not strategy, that’s lazy campaigning disguised as innovation."

Easyb don't come in here saying they already do this lol, because they don't.

NONE of this makes sense!!! This election was won off of RACISM!!!! Investing in Black anything wasn't going to do NOTHING! Kamala going on Joe Rogan wouldn't have changed anyones mind.

Trump had 4 years of campaigning! 4 years of telling people that times are still tough as they were during the pandemic that he practically caused. 4 years of seeing Biden fall asleep and calling him Sleepy Joe. 4 years of saying Kamala slept her way to her ELECTED position as AG. That she was a DEI hire. 4 years of saying he'd have everybody's problems solved on day 1. Jobs, wars, economy, groceries, etc...DAY 1. NONE of this has ANYTHING to do with Black investments. I would have LOVED to hear Karen Hunter and Kamala Harris talk on Urban View, but that would not have swayed the election.

This election was a Intellect vs Racist mindset. Never underestimate the stupidity of a racist. Black people knew the plan. Hispanics and while people were under this delusion that life was going to be better now.

Well you should stop following politics and stop voting because America did not get less racist in the last two years. And they didn't get any smarter.

And they won't get any smarter or less racist anytime in the next 20 years.

"Mr. Nobody Against Putin" won the Oscar for best documentary, who sells more tickets, that or Spiderman?

Had a fun conversation about the boycott topic with a coworker. I argued for it, he argued against. Coworker’s argument was valid. Why put this pressure on young kids…that’s some bullshit. My counter to that was that today’s athletes are the same age as many of the people who participated and lead during the civil rights movements AND unfortunately, the impact of those athletes would have a faster and greater affect than what’s happening within government. Fun convo.
So young athletes don't vote? Protesting is a young man's game, but it's the old people that support those young people. Today young people don't want to fight and old people have failed the next generation in so many way.

Fred Hampton was 21 years old WHEN HE DIED!!! SNCC stood for Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, emphasis on student. We got the rights we have BECAUSE of young people! These motherfcukers took dog bites and ass whoopings because the elders couldn't. And the elders passed collection plates, put houses up for bail, hid folks and wired money.

Yep, didn't argue any of the points. Just went for the low hanging fruit. I really did go back and forth about replying initially, but I was curious how this would go and you did not disappoint.

Athletes are "rich" and Trump helps them stay "rich". These aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer to begin with. These cats have been coddled all their lives. And don't get me started on Black athletes! (TOO LATE, I'M STARTED!!!) White girls put out a whole class outlining how to trap Black athletes and they STILL fall for the white broad!

Honest ?uestion. How many Black athletes does anyone think are gonna leave the SEC?

...but you have to get elected first. Everything that is going on in New York is GREAT, but you can progress all you want some places have to be FORCED to do a thing. Charleston Mississippi held its first integrated prom in 2008, are they electing a Democratic Socialist?

I am a fan of these young brothas but they do live in an echo chamber and anyone saying anything slightly off to what they say is met name calling, but what do you expect from cats that follow Hasan?

The Left eats their own.

DNC Chair Ken Martin released an incomplete 2024 election autopsy:

• Trump’s “they/them” attacks on Harris were seen as highly effective
• Biden team criticized for failing to prepare Harris
• Democrats accused of neglecting rural voters and local parties
• Report says party relied too much on “not Trump” messaging instead of defining itself

They spelled white supremacy wrong.

MAGA is facing a demographic apocalypse.

The past few months I've spoken to a good number of young people, all of whom voted for Trump in 2024—many voting for the first time in a presidential election.

Some are really into politics, some only vaguely so. Some loved Trump, some just didn't like Kamala. Some considered themselves Republicans, some were independents.

Despite their differences, they all had one thing in common: they were furious at Trump. The Iran war, the coverup of the Epstein files, and especially his careless attitude toward the economy and rising inflation: every single young person I spoke with was disgusted with Trump and many were through with the GOP. More than one even questioned Trump's sanity (and remember: they all voted for him less than two years ago!).

This of course is not the case with those my age and older I talk with. Most are still supportive of Trump, even if a bit more anxious about what he's doing.

I recognize this is anecdotal evidence, but I think what I found is pretty common. And these demographics are not good for the future of the MAGA movement in particular and the GOP in general.

It seems to me that MAGA won't survive long post-Trump, and either the Democrats will dominate national politics in the future (a nightmare scenario) or the GOP will move to a true America First agenda that attracts young people into a new winning coalition.

Trump said: "...you won't ever have to vote again." They don't care if people are mad now. They'll just throw your vote out come election time! "They could never do that!" See the Florida presidential vote of 2000!

"Oh, these 17million votes for this democrat that I just happen to lose by. Their signatures didn't match or they didn't provide ID when voting. Also I have my J6'er response team that is combing polling places looking for voter fraud. So there may be more votes that I can toss!"

You have literally made the point that Dems should not change their message to appeal to the largest groups of voters in order to get elected and to just keep doing the same things because voters are dumb.

You know what. You right...I don't know what I was thinking! I know what I'm doing is wrong, but I just keep doing it!

Thank you man! Thank you for setting me straight! We don't have to talk anymore, okay?

That was in your first sentence. So if investing in different forms of media including Black media wouldn't make a difference, then why are you still following politics? Because, like I said, this country is not less racist today than it was 2 years ago.

See, this was in the tweet I posted and you just skipped right over it:

There’s a difference between running a campaign and winning an election.

Winning requires direct, decisive messaging that speaks to people with different interests, different concerns, and different lived experiences. It cannot be blanket messaging repeated over and over again.

The message has to be authentic, targeted, and delivered at scale by people who actually understand the communities they’re trying to reach.

That includes non-intellectuals, leftists, centrists, moderates, latinos, young people, old people, muslims, poor people, everyone.

If Dems had invested in speaking to each one of those communities, instead of having a blanket message, they would have stood a much better chance of winning.

No party or politician is owed anyone's vote. It's up to that party and each politician to go out and earn that vote. Just saying, "If you're intelligent, you'll vote for me" is not a winning strategy.
