No it hasn’t. The Bible was misquoted to keep you from understanding it. Which obviously it worked well. You can not enslave someone with a book. When they came and took us into cargo slave ships did they read us the book and we just went in? Or were we physical forced?
The Bible (which one?) is a collection of stories that has been written, rewritten, significantly edited, and purported to be the word of the Deity just because someone says it is. That ain't good enough for me, especially when the people who presented us with the stories hail from the Middle East and Europe. I don't trust either regions nor the peoples therefrom.
I don't argue with people like you any longer. Saves me a great deal of stress.
I realized long ago that extreme religious devotion, especially to a religion so patriarchal, violent, and haphazardly assembled and reassembled(King James "version"?) as the abrahamic religions (three versions of the same woman despising religion) suffer from a form of mental illness.
As for slave ships, my father's people didn't come here on a damned slave ship. They were here countless centuries before white folks and their religions imposed themselves upon us. Perhaps that I why I think a bit differently. However, they married African Americans, and both Indians and Negros have a SERIOUS holy rollin' habit. Two peoples, fucked over by the white man, who will defend to the death the religion that same white man imposed upon them. I don't get it.
ANY religion that POUNDS into a person's head that he is BORN a worthless, hell bound piece of shit because he has not given his soul to someone that ARABS/SEMITES/WHITE FOLKS or whomever insist is the son of the Deity is faulty in my opinion.
I also have a problem with the "love thy enemy" bullshit. I may not hate my enemies, but I damned sure don't love the fuckers. I propose it is a hallmark of enslavement, of the mind and spirit, to convince a man that he should love the man who takes turns raping his daughter and his wife on a weekly basis, and sells his other children to plantations down the way.
I also have issues with the inherent patriarchy. The peaceful tribes in what is now the Americas were often matriarchal. Testosterone got us so many invasions in the modern era it is hard to keep count.
Anyway, I won't go back and forth with you, because you, in my view, epitomize the problem with African Americans.
I once drove down Mack Avenue in Detroit, from Woodward, which is essentially the main street, to Grosse Pointe. I decided to count the number of churches. I lost count very quickly.
There are churches that have build brand new churches across the street. There is the mansion looking church in Indian VIllage, a neighborhood of historic homes
There were intersections where almost, if not all, corners were inhabited by a Christian church.
The whole damned community has relied completely on welfare, social security disability or both (and of course crime), and has the highest child poverty level outside Mississippi. But somehow, the people manage to afford to build, rebuild, gut, and rebuild churches all over the goddamned place.
The ability to commit genocide because someone told you a book says it is OK is significant of a slave mentality, as is the ability to break bread with the man who raped your daughter and your wife.
It is significant of a slave mentality to love people who are hell bent on your destruction.
The worst part is people like you, who seem to think common sense is a form a brainwashing.
NO, I will not argue with you. I have a passport, quite literally, to get away from people who think like you.
Cheers.
