Kendrick Lamar disses Drake & J Cole on Metro Boomin & Futures Album/ Rick Ross Responds/ Kanye Responds/Kendrick Responds 4X / Drake Responds 3X

Nah the build up for Nas wasn't high. He was considered defeated and counted out and that's why it hit harder.

Once he said fuck Jay z and that beat dropped it was a rap.
Nah fam everyone was wondering what nas was gonna do; i remember that shit!! And once word got out that he was dropping; mofos was going nuts…

crazy part?

Drake always claimed to STUDY the greats

But he did NOT follow the blueprints of Jay Z which would have made basically IGNORE Kendrick until HE was really ready

And he kept spinning that 50 Cent chain... but did NOT follow Curtis art of war and keep hitting Kendrick with GOOD MUSIC...

NON STOP

True but on the other hand, Kendrick also didn't follow the blueprints of the greats and that's why he won.

Instead of releasing a song and waiting for a response, Kendrick had 10 songs lined up ready to murder Drake the minute he dropped or didn't .

Nas released his song 3 months after Takeover. Niggas weren't ok pins and needles for 3 months waiting for Nas to respond.

He was counted out and most thought that he was defeated.

Of course once word got out that Nas was releasing a response people were going nuts.

But he DID he just went NEXT GEN on it

He followed the Jay Z style lyrical smart controlled focused clever catch phrases great beats

Drake hit Meek back to back

50 Cent he made his opponent UNCOOL and freed all his hidden detractors to reveal themselves.

I'm happy for Kendrick but this is just weird. Who the fuck is buying a 12 old album each and ever week?

I don't know for certain, but I think Drake was a lot of younger people's (read CACs) introduction to hip hop so that sound was all they consumed. Now that they're older and there's a light on Kendrick from the battle, their more mature palate has them open to listening to older Kendrick projects. I know Mr. Morale has gotten a lot of listens too after Drake name-dropped Mother I Sober. That's all I got.

You know this hurt Ak's soul

Bro? Kendrick just got a whole new bunch of fans!

The NY Rangers just won the second round and they played this song for decades

and I heard outside the Garden?

Them white boys were playing

My bad I read the tweet wrong, I thought it had to do with this.

Kendrick Lamar's 2012 album *Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City* has been on the Billboard 200 chart for 550 weeks, making it the longest-charting hip-hop studio album of all time. The album has been on the chart for 10 years in a row, and as of May 15, 2023.

Who the fuck is still buying a 12 year old album to keep it on the charts? That's weird. Again I'm happy for Kendrick but that's weird.
