This isn't really about Drake, Kendrick, or anything they said on their records.

The problem is people are so fucked up and toxic, especially on the internet, that it was obvious they'd take the disses about him liking young girls literally and begin using it to damage him for reasons that have nothing to do with the allegations being real.

I don't think Kendrick or Drake have intentions of destroying each others careers and for them it was/is just a rap battle.

Honestly this is what is happening, but there is material for people to work with. It's funny how this didn't work for 50 Cent with Rick Ross though. He exposed him as a CO, but it didn't appear to do any damage.

Maybe people were tired of 50's antics in general that time and it didn't have the oomph like the Ja Rule and Piggy Bank era. Rick Ross just kept making music people liked and everything got glossed over. Drake has also been at the top of music mountain for years, so seeing someone knock him off is more entertaining.
