Kendrick Lamar disses Drake & J Cole on Metro Boomin & Futures Album/ Rick Ross Responds/ Kanye Responds/Kendrick Responds 4X / Drake Responds 3X

I mentioned in a post a few pages back that I would not be surprised if they pulled the song. I stated that going at someone and marketing them as a pedo will get you jammed up by lawyers.

I doubt this is valid.

I don't doubt they're doing some damage control (especially now after someone was shot at his house) but I don't see them involving Kendrick in it or giving him more ammo.

If they're trying to squash this it would probably be done by going directly to people in each camp that both will listen to.
I don't doubt it's possible only because they're visiting hip hop like Drake and getting the authorities involved is what they do

Does not mean I believe this
Just means they don't even understand the culture so on grounds of not how it's done in hip hop is something nobody in the room cared to even ask about

I believe this. I don't believe Drake called them in, so it's not like he's on some sucka shit, but I do believe the higher-ups want this over. Drake is an ATM. He makes everyone money. UMG, Nike, T-Mobile, Sprite, and Apple Music want this over. This beef is brand toxic. They signed up the quirky, talented, clean-cut rapper/actor from Toronto to be the face of their brands. GenZ doing remixes of BBL Drizzy and speaking about his enduring love for younger women is TERRIBLE for business. This is what J.Prince was warning Drake of back during the Pusha beef. No one can be affiliated with am alleged pedophile.

The thing is by asking him to retract the pedophile shit they actually make it much worse.

But in a week or two if they leave it as is this battle will be old news.

Think about how much the Puffy shit has died down now despite being inescapable only a couple of weeks ago.

I think I was talking to you or another poster when i said the Pedo angle will probably get Kendrick pressed by lawyers. It is very few situations where you will be able to monetize off of calling someone a pedophile or rapist.

My assumptions is that Drake label reached out to Kendrick label and stated that if you don't have proof you will need to pull the song. I would not be surprised if the song disappears in the next day or so.

I disagree.....

In high school there was a dude I had issues with. My home boy at the time was like "nah X has always been aight with me." I told him then "so be it, but me and ole boy got static and it's best we avoid each other."

He was still interacting with him, and I was cool with it. They had their own friendship for years centered around a sport I didnt play. "That's your mans!" Then a few years later around Sophomore / Jr yr of college, they got into it.

Some times people will hear that a person is a snake or whatever, but its hard for them to believe it until they get bit.

These rumors of Drake trying to fuck after dudes isn't new. And I'm sure the rumors of dirty macking aren't new either.

And if the dude is a narcissist/ manipulator as alleged, I can see him offering explanations regarding the grooming shit and people buying it. ("What I look like trying to F someone underage...... but she was 19 tho...... mayne I don't even know who that is, she came along with So-n-So who was X (18+) at the time...... ole girl's dad is X, you think I'd try to smash HIS underage daughter?! I'm just trying to get a beat/sample cleared")

Puffy didn't have a hit record and potential west coast summer anthem written about him though...

No but he does have the MeToo movement, Tupac cult members, FBI, DEA, etc. on his ass.

The point is we as a society now treat everything as if it's fast food and this wilk be no different.

I'd bet that in about a month this battle will be getting talked about as if it occurred in 2001.

This isn't really about Drake, Kendrick, or anything they said on their records.

The problem is people are so fucked up and toxic, especially on the internet, that it was obvious they'd take the disses about him liking young girls literally and begin using it to damage him for reasons that have nothing to do with the allegations being real.

I don't think Kendrick or Drake have intentions of destroying each others careers and for them it was/is just a rap battle.

Word...I see some saying it may have been manufactured to juice up both of their sales since most of these niggas either have albums out or dropping soon....but then it went left.

It's possible that there could've been a pre-determined fight but then in the middle of the choreographed punches.. somebody was like "ayo that ain't the sledgehammer we gave you!" niggas got they wig split open and here we are...

That collaboration album in 2025/early 2026 prolly ain't gonna happen now

I think you may have been spot on until Drake mentioned Whitney and his kids. At that point I think things went left.
