Do you have car note?

Actually, dealerships do NOT like when you pay cash in full
Because they make their money off financing/interest
Plus some banks even give them a little bonus (kickback)
If they can sign up more people with loans
This is why you always let them know that you are not sure how you'd be paying yet. Tell em you have 780 credit (without letting them run it) and get the best quote. Get the "printed" offer (sign it), and tell them that you want to compare with your bank's rate. Offer $1000 for them to hold the car (this will go against the balance, and let them know you are serious about purchasing). Next day, come back with a cashier's check from your bank at the quoted amount they were gonna finance you for. The are obligated to sell it at THAT price.

Note....they might do some ole hatin shit like: making you wait longer to process your paperwork, but fuck em.

I didn’t want one but had to do it. With a young family I can’t afford to be stuck in the side of the road. Plus, clients give you the sideye if they lawyer ain’t rolling in something nice.
In high school I worked for a top Social Security attorney in my area. He drove a BMW 7 series that had been paid off yearsss ago. He kept it and got maintenance down on it. I would actually take the check to the auto shop to pay for it. Then he ended up buying a Volvo. Trust me your clients ain't looking to hard.

Camry’s the goats of cars. My boy had a Camry and put 400K miles on that bitch. Them joints last forever lol
That is exactly why I bought it. I commute about 60 miles when I work and I thought why am I driving a fucking F 250 drinking all this diesel? I sold my boat about 2 years back so I had nothing to haul. With the note I'm paying it equals to what I was paying in fuel and I have such a better experience commuting and I can now park in my garage. I realized a few years back its time to make better financial decisions I'm at that halfway mark to retirement.

Done with car payments on mine and the wife's cars. I financed at 2% APR just to leave credit tracks on record but then i was already credit worthy so I paid them off. using that excess money on mortgage now.

i see, but wouldn't that money go into the vehicle anyway (eventually), and you'd end up spending more if you don't depending on the interest rate.

Yeah, and you are paying interest on the money. The difference is that financing becomes more of on Operation expense vs a large capital expense .
Also consider the opportunity cost. That large amount of cash sunk into a car could have been used to secure another asset.
