Do you have car note?

Haven't had a car note in over a decade. When I did have one, I felt like I got ripped off because the interest rate was 8%. I paid about $600 a month. Paid it off early. I've got two Toyotas. An SUV I bought and a Camry I inherited. SUV has 250K miles on it. Camry has 150K. No problems with either one. I may buy a retirement car but I'm done with car notes.

fuk that.. i got a note and make the last payment this month. had that bitch for 5yrs but no issues. I don't got it like that to drop $40k+ on a new whip. I could afford my payments, made them on time and now i'm a bout to be note free for the first time in 5yrs. CROWN ME!!

To play devil's advocate, when do you say "man i worked hard, saved, no debt, credit score good, and i am financially responsible I am going to buy what I want"
When you’re no longer working hard but working smart. I’ll leave you with this quote.

Money is a bad master, but an excellent servant.
– Francis Bacon

Don’t have a note, I always like old cars… so my having a note is less likely.

I just love finding a whip that been sitting up in a yard, that need a water pump or tune up or fuel pump…

Spend 2 racks to buy then less than $500 to fix

But that new Cadillac Escalade is serious….

We went almost 15 years without a car payment, but we are back at it. We got our oldest his first car and we replaced the 22 yr old Denali. :dunno:

Anytime you want.

If it's a car that makes you happy fine.

If it's something else ir just growing a nest egg that's ok too.

I've had almost new and new and as soon as you get the first dent you're mad like...I gotta pay full price plus interest for something that's not new anymore.

Actually, dealerships do NOT like when you pay cash in full
Because they make their money off financing/interest
Plus some banks even give them a little bonus (kickback)
If they can sign up more people with loans
Right... That's the dealership. Fuck them.

The question was is there a downside to using cash.

If you can afford to pay cash, there is no downside to the consumer.

I lease cause I like to switch up every 3 yrs

Always paid under $300 for past leases but now I pay $389 per mo smh and that's with an over 800 credit score

If you can afford to pay cash, there is no downside to the consumer.

The downside all depends on the person and their mentality.

If a person invests in other ventures. Then the downside for paying for a car in cash is that money's gone when they could've used it in other avenues to make money .

Assuming that they have a low interest rate to finance the car. There's other downsides but that's just one.

Bitch need ta make one more bad decision and give me some pussy
