Same here. I heard something about Nickelodeon here and there, but had no idea what it was about. Actually only now have I put it together, when you posted this guy and I will google it. But Diddy is FAMOUS FOR REAL, so of course people will be drawn to his story.
That could be true around the edges, but at the same time puffy has been known for shadiness ever since the early 90s.

I guarantee most people have no idea there is a lawsuit or who or what it involves.
But it has to begin somewhere. For instance, say a person files a civil suit with sex trafficking allegations in it and the suit is plastered on tv's all over the world. The plaintiff is contacted and they either talk or don't talk. We have no idea how many people have been interviewed who would not talk.....but now, clearly they are talking, under oath.
So you remember how many girls got interviewed about R. Kelly who said, 'he didn't make us do anything, he didn't hurt us, we are living here on our own." But at some point those same people or some like them decided to tell their story under oath and the investigators and eventually a jury believed them.
I think what is driving this case, and others before and those to come, more than anything, are the rules that allowed plaintiff's to file cases that would ordinarily be barred by the statute of limitations, meaning they happened too long ago to file suit. People grow up. That loyalty against all odds bullshit goes by the wayside and folk look up and think what has it gotten me? And they make a money grab......and if interviewed under oath by authorities, at this point they can't wait to spill the beans.
