I didn't know this. May have to check this
Benching 225 since 9th grade.
What's your max on it? I hit 15 times in strict form. I adopted it as my standard in 2013.Benching 225 since 9th grade.
Yeah, yeah social media tells the truth sometimes but in this case it’s lying. In high school most of us on our football team used to bench press 250+. 3 or 4 dues used to push over 350+Stop getting "facts" from social media!

They never bench above 225 when I'm in there. That flat bench isn't as easy as people make it out be either. These younger dudes don't like doing bench and I believe cause it turns into a competitive thing where they think someone is judging how much their benching and maybe they are but who cares you're doing it for yourself.
250 bench is a great way to keep a broad chest, something pushups won't do in the long run.
You musta been a fat ass nigga that stayed back a few times.Benching 225 since 9th grade.
Bullshit. Aint no "most" of any HS team benching over 250. And the few lineman that do still dont represent more than 3% of total school population... so the math is still on par.Yeah, yeah social media tells the truth sometimes but in this case it’s lying. First of all, I went to an all black school Miami northwestern, second of all, we was big as hell. We was very old looking. I would show you my yearbook, but I don’t think that’s a good idea right now because of circumstancesYou musta been a fat ass nigga that stayed back a few times.

where are you from bruh? where you went to school? who was your strength coach? most mofos that run around the SEC regions is competitive...225 -300 is the goal. even at 6,1 230 in high school, I was still small on the team....and we not talking fat, rolly poly mofos.....we talking bout them corn fed country boys and the aint got shit else to do but bench in the yard PJs with fam. some friends had raggedy weight sets up in the yard to talk trash and lift. hate to say it but basketball and football was some of the ways outta those not good circumstances. You musta been a fat ass nigga that stayed back a few times.

I'm under. I can do 185 10 times now. Always in strict form. My weight fluctuates between 180-200. When I train and eat I hit 200lbs in weight but I lift the same way now. Have nothing to prove. It's a strength measure for fitness if you're over 200lbs.

Man said most of his HS team was pushing 250. Thats utter bullshit. If he said most lineman pushed 225+ cool.. i guess. But telling me most of the got dam team pushing 250+ is duck tales... And IDGAF where you from.where are you from bruh? where you went to school? who was your strength coach? most mofos that run around the SEC regions is competitive...225 -300 is the goal. even at 6,1 230 in high school, I was still small on the team....and we not talking fat, rolly poly mofos.....we talking bout them corn fed country boys and the aint got shit else to do but bench in the yard PJs with fam. some friends had raggedy weight sets up in the yard to talk trash and lift. hate to say it but basketball and football was some of the ways outta those not good circumstances.
I grew up in south florida in the 90s most are not benching that unless you're talking about the line. Around the world is a definite no, most of the world are into more agile sports like soccer, basketball, and martial arts. You don't need 225 for those.this guy dont know what the fuq he talking about...he need to come on down to da south and watch these behemoths on the line.....IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! 225 IS THE WARM UP WEIGHT. everybody on our HS line was over 225 with the top bench being 450+
225 is the perfect weight all way round though. that 30 plus rep goal is a monster to obtain. i dont event try any more to lift heavy weight. shoulder injuries stay with you bruh. but saying only x ampunt of people in the world bench 225 is saying some folks aint trying nor playing sport bruh. if you play any hard hitting sports, you at least 225...period. otherwise people will laugh you the fuq off the team.
i was puny as fuck in 9th grade...sticks and fuckin bones........hell i couldnt even bench 135......lolBenching 225 since 9th grade.
There is truth to that though. A vast majority of human beings not only cannot bench press 225 but have never even attempted it. Which makes 315lbs even rarer. My max is 515lbs.Stop getting "facts" from social media!
You musta been a fat ass nigga that stayed back a few times.
Respect.Nowhere near.
I was probably at my tallest, 6' 3" and was about 185 - 190 back then. Me and 2 other buddies I grew up with would go in my basement where my older brothers had a bench and dumbells and a curl bar down there. We trained a lot and we were all solid. We wanted to get big like bodybuilders. We ate PB & J sandwiches and eggs and other protein rich foods. We did this through high school. I was not fat at all but we were some of the biggest kats in the school back then.
nah i believe it. the guys on my HS football team was pressing 3 plates like it wasnt shit.

225 is literally starter weight. 135 -185 is barely warming up.
i dont understand people saying that is fat boy weight. that shit was standard back in high school and is still standard at the gyms i work out at. i wrestled varsity 160 (weighed btwn 155-160 as a junior/senior) in high school and was expected to rep 225.
anyone hitting reps of 225 is regular.
that 315+ weight for reps is when people begin to take notice.
i didnt bench 225 til i got to college. my coach in HS didnt really care too much about us getting in the weight room at all.Everytime I see this type of video I see these comments and I knew I'd see them on here, the video is correct because I I've been working out for years been to different gyms and guarantee unless you go to one of those musclebound gyms then 80% of the people there can't lift 225, dudes talking about their high school when the school has 200-300 students and yeah I can bench 225 but know it wasn't easy to get to that weight so I understand the video
Lets say your HS team had a 50 man roster. How many you think were pushing 315 "like it wasnt shit"?nah i believe it. the guys on my HS football team was pressing 3 plates like it wasnt shit.
it was like a competition with all them niggaz.
