Tommy's spinoff started slow and then got its legs and was pretty good.
The problem is, you can't really have slow starts in this day and age, because people tune out and don't come back.
I tuned out a soon as the black bartender chic threw the pussy at him as soon as he walked in. You can always tell who's going to fuck on these shows.
That shit was pure trash. It's like they tried to do some bullshit Keyser Soze dramatical ending. Dru and Diana plot was terrible. Effie's plot made sense. Lauren needed to die for snitching on GP. The failed RICO case was a totally anti-climatic ending. Monet was far too gone she needed to die. Last but not least Keyser Soze himself Brayden, who ain't shoot no one all season but walks in with the pistol in one hand and busts a cap in Cane who has traumatized him since day 1.

For those of you that tired of the corny storylines, fake drug dealing mothers, oedipus complex sons (I really expected Tasha to pull out her titty and Riq to suck it last episode). Beta lookin Tariq getting all the ladies and homo ass Dru getting a sex scene in every episode.
Come to TUBI for some real Street gangsta shit and no homoshit. Magraw Ave with Murda Payne is my shit. They are produced by Ucult TV, they got some good shows and production gets better by season 3.

To keep this show interesting and consistent, they're going to have make some "hard" decisions. First, they need to kill off 2 or 3 characters. The writers mailed this season in, because there were some very inconsistent things this season, like Effie stacking chips for her out game, and 3 weeks later, not having money for tuition.Shit was just

Diana: If Monet survives, and I think she will, she saw the shooter and shielded Diana. I don't think Diana saw a thing, because she had a change of heart and looking at the door handle trying to open the door. When she gets word of Diana "seeing" Tariq as the shooter, while remembering Diana all of a sudden going from being in a hurry to leave to now wanting to go back inside, because she "forgot" something, she'll know something's up. Monet is a street vet, she's not stupid. She SHOULD be able to connect the dots, IF the writing is consistent with the character's background. Operative word being "should".
Drew: IF the writing is consistent with Tariq's character, he records a lot of his convos with people he's unsure about, so he SHOULD HAVE recorded his exchange with Diana, which will put Drew in the crosshairs. The combination of this, and the animosity between Drew and Cane should get Drew on the toe tag guestlist. Again, IF the writing is consistent.
Possible death or defection: Obi. The only thing that was keeping him in pocket was a green card for his fam, and 'Riq provided that, which is why he warned Brayden, couple that with Noma slashing him as a reminder, I don't see him staying too loyal. Hopefully, the writers will go back and look at this season again and tighten their shit up.
Also, after seeing what Noma was able to pull off in Italy, a head-to-head war with Noma would be a stupid storyline.
I'll be checking this shit out. I've enjoyed a lot of the YouTube hood shows. Shit is a lot more authentic than the other options. And I didn't even want to bring up all those damn scenes I had to skip through in Power.
And I could have sworn they had an Asian dude cosplaying as a woman.It's like Star has demands for certain things. Effie his ex and crime partner, who helped set up Noma fiancé Mecca, wasn't told of the plan that set up her first arrest then arrested again on murder charges of the Rico snitch Lauren but never flipped and was told I don't trust you, kick rocks and get it out mud...
