He's right. AD just has the worst rep with injuries in the history of the NBA!

No it's not funny...

Well sometimes it is

It's just like the guys in here making fun of AD always getting injured. Yes professionals in sports and on tv should be more respective and responsible in their actions but sometimes it slips.

Look, Barkley gave AD the name "Street Clothes". :roflmao:

Add that to AD falls at times when he shouldn't so everyone's looking at him like "How'd you get there"? Similar to Embiid.

Little bumps here and there knocks him out of games so at some point people don't take it seriously anymore.

And I looked at him getting hit in the head last night from different angles so I saw where he was hit. In the head\temple and the eye.

They saw him get hit and thought it was a regular hit, so once they heard he was in a wheelchair it was a wrap!

They were thinking of AD like this

And not in a serious nature.

I was joking when I posted Taylor Swift's "Begin Again" before GWS/LAL Game 6.

But I really should post the whole damn Reputation album in response to this conversation.

Reputation is often a product of narrative. Narratives can be driven by gossip, speculation and group-think.

The narrative is that since the bubble championship, Anthony Davis has been a bust for the Lakers because he's never available.

But the reality is he has played more games since then than Steph Curry.

When Curry injures his shoulder just by reaching for the ball and misses significant time, all anyone says is "Can the Warriors survive without him?" There's no Mr. Glass narrative, even though he played less games this year and over the last four.

Maybe his rep ain't fair and he's just the guy to pile onto at this point.

Anthony Davis hasn't been a bust, he got us a championship but he has been injured a lot.

His career has been littered with little injuries here and there and it's not his fault.

You're right he has played more games than Steph since the bubble but Jay was wrong, "Numbers do lie".

Steph Games Played Since the Bubble:

2019-2020 5 Games Played

2020-2021 63 Games Played

2021-2022 64 Games Played

2022-2023 56 Games Played

AD Games Played Since the Bubble:

2019-2020 62 Games Played

2020-2021 36 Games Played

2021-2022 40 Games Played

2022-2023 56 Games Played

So in short, Steph basically missed an entire season is the reason he's missed more games than AD.

But yes there's narratives.
