( Another Mass Shooting) LMPD confirms multiple casualties from active shooting incident in downtown Louisville

Anyone remember the 80s/90s when the gun of choice was the UZI? Miami Vice kinda made it popular based on the Miami drug violence.

Seems like the AR, or handguns with switches, are the order of the day now.

Yea I dont even hear dudes talkin about Ak's anymore....

Quick question fam
What's your opinion on that new law just passed in North Carolina?
No permit required to get a gun in NC
Good thing? Bad thing?
Does that mean gun safety classes are not required anymore?
All a money grab for the state. No criminal is going to a gun store or sheriff's office for a permit to purchase a pistol. They're mostly getting their shit by stealing them from people not properly securing their guns in proper storage. Now not to say there won't be idiots who purchase their guns legally won't do some dumb shit but the way local politicians and media are making it sound is very inaccurate and deceiving.

As for classes, yeah they're not required for purchase. They never were. NC is not a constitutional carry state so you can't legally carry concealed without a conceal carry permit. This ruling just allows people to go to the store now and have their background checks run at the store for pistol purchases just like they would for a rifle or shotgun purchase. I still suggest taking the conceal carry course anyways. Learning the legal side of gun laws and the ramifications as well as responsibilities that come with gun ownership are the biggest benefit of the course especially for our people.

BTW @CurtDawg I think it's a good thing as the old purchase permit law had Jim Crow era roots. Who's the sheriff to determine whether you have good morale character and approve or deny you from purchasing a firearm when you pass all the main criteria. That's how the elite get access and everyone else gets cut out. That's the fuckery that NY, NJ and similar states run now and why they got recently called out for it by the Supreme Court.

What needs to happen is tightening up the current process for background checks so all depts are properly communicating. Every time I hear "we need universal background checks" or similar rhetoric, I never hear any of them identify what's wrong with the current background check system and/or come up with ways to fix it. Just a lot of finger pointing with no valid solution being proposed by neither the Democrats or Republicans. Shit is beyond ridiculous.

Nah.

Dude ran up on a judge at her house and killed her son and husband I believe...too bad so sad but nothing changed.
That was here in Jersey son died by shotgun I think

Judge Esther Salas, whose son was killed at NJ home, speaks out about new bill to protect judges. Salas' son, Daniel Anderl, was 20 when he was shot and killed by a gunman who had targeted the family's home.

Nobody cares until it happens to them (or their kids)
Yes and it's starting to get closer to those people in their "It doesn't happen in our community" folks, each and everyday closer and closer.

Be mindful who you piss off or wasn't that nice to cause an apology just might save your life later on.

I really hate the AR-15 style rifle label cuz it's misleading. A lot of reports label firearms based off appearance and aesthetics that end up misleading viewers into automatically assuming these guns are all the same. It's not the viewers faults for these assumptions either. You don't know what you don't know. It just sucks that there's so much inaccurate information out there.

As for red flag laws, I have no issues with the premise but the execution still needs refining. It's too easily weaponized with false or petty allegations without penalty for the false claims.
