Lolz motherfuckers hate watch WWE just so they can post about their disdain for Vince and everything WWE....

I never understand why people "hate watch" something. If it ain't your thing, why not just do what I do when it comes to AEW, and just not watch it.

I don't hate watch at all. Prior to Triple H taking over Raw and SmackDown I didn't watch WWE at all. THEN Triple H took over and I heard how the product was heading in the right direction so I tuned back in and liked what I saw. NOW that you know who is back I'll go back to not watching.

It is really easy to miss a wrestling show if you don't like the product or promotion.

Exactly and that's why I don't watch Impact or NWA.

The "Yellow Fever" in wrestling is really weird to me. Yeah they have done some innovative shit over the years, but from wrestlers (Omega/Sasha) to fans, the obsession with anything Japanese always makes me look at those types with a side eye.

The Japanese over the years have produced the best wrestling thats why there's a gravitation toward it. If Italians were producing the best wrestling there would be gravitation towards that. Same if it was blacks, etc etc. It's not a race thing.

Dude ran @Helico-pterFunk , an OG of this board, out of this thread because he felt he was "spamming" the thread, yet he spams this thread with constant Japanese fanboy posts and anti-WWE propaganda posts. Ironic. So who's really the tribalist around here?

I didn't run anybody off he chose to leave. I'm not a moderator in this thread. I have zero control over what people post.

WWE isn't necessarily more polished they just wrestle a safer low risk style. When you do things with a higher degree of difficulty (AEW) botches are bound to happen. Sometimes moves are pulled off sometimes they're not but I'm NEVER gonna fault a wrestler for trying something high risk for our entertainment. If everybody played it safe wrestling would be boring.

Super Crazy vs. Tajiri wasn't dogshit. Sabu vs. Cactus Jack wasn't dogshit. Taz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow wasn't either. I could name all kinds of classic ECW matches.

Due to your WWE brainwashing you're trying to apply WWE style guidelines to other promotions and that's stupid. Each promotion and style should be judged within its own perimeters.
My original point was AEW has a long way to go before it's a legitimate threat to WWE.
From production, to storytelling to the Wrestlers performance they are a much more polished product. AEW is still in its infancy but to think they are on par with the WWE is asinine.

I like AEW WWE Impact NJPW ROH. Hell I'm one of the few to admit to liking W.O.W and I can make an honest comparison. The flipping flopping spot fest leads to a sloppy less polished product. Its over used and a cover up for Wrestlers lack of being able to tell a story in the ring. NJPW can tell a story without 1000 spots in a match.
I like the mive set fast pace styles of Kenny Omega Will Osprey the YB and even the vintage rassslin style of FTR.
It's not even about the styles but the overall product. After watching Wrestmania I don't think AEW is close to WWE and they have a long way to go if they want to take the top spot with or without Vince in charge

When WCW vs WWE wars started they had better bigger stars. AEW is missing that instead they have Y2J, Dean Ambrose Cesaro and Daniel Bryan as their top stars, all WWE rejects.
I like what TNA/Impact has done over the years. Built from within. TK seems to want to follow that mold now but he also need Television sponsorship and he will need elevated talent.

Why get WM Morrisey when Braun Strowman is available.
Why sign Taya Valkyrie when Mercedes is available.

Moving forward I will only respond to posts made by other members in this thread. I won't initiate posts anymore. I'll let @chrislee do that from here on out.
I like the healthy debate. Keep it coming. There's alot of wrestling and information out there for example I didnt really learn about Joshis until the early 2000s. I used to go to the flea markets to buy wrestling tapes from territory promotions.

We can still debate I just won't be initiating posts anymore. That way nobody can accuse me of spamming the board with anything.

AEW is doing it's own thing. It's not trying to be a threat to WWE. WWE has a 40 plus year head start on everyone. All I said was in regard to match quality I think AEW and NJPW are better. MJF vs. Bryan Danielson, Will Ospreay vs. Kenny Omega, House Of Black vs. The Elite. Nothing WWE has done this year compares to those matches.

The all depends on the match and it's purpose. Anybody can tell a story in the ring if the structure is there.

NJPW can tell a story without 1000 spots in a match.

They're not gonna take the top spot regardless and honestly I don't care if they do or don't. What's important to me is being able to watch the style of wrestling I want to watch. No promotion is perfect. You learn to take the good with the bad.

None of those guys are WWE rejects. Chris Jericho is a hall of fame talent. Jon Moxley is 100 times over now than he ever was as Dean Ambrose. Claudio is more over than in WWE. Bryan Danielson remains over. Then you add in great talents like Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, MJF, Young Bucks. Lucha Brothers, RUSH, etc. Tony Khan has a fantastic roster.

Strowman isn't very good and Mercedes is signed to New Japan.

Yeah in the sense that fans are still behind him to dethrone Roman. The best time to do it was still Mania. Maybe take the title off Roman at SS then plants seeds for Roman and Solo to feud at Mania.

That is the whole point. The chase is always more interesting than the victory.
He just returned at the Royal Rumble a couple of months ago from injury. It would be too soon to crown him. Let him chase the title a little more.
If mark fans wanna bitch and claim they'll stop watching the product because Cody didn't win at WM, so be it.
Funny, those same people always find their way back to watching again even when they swear they're done watching. LOL

Being honest ROH stronger than AEW at the moment. TK needs to set base rosters for each promotion hopefully TK is announcing a partnership with OVW as a developmental territory

People stop watching when they're not enjoying the product. No different than a TV series a fan nolonger finds enjoyment in watching. When I didn't like the direction The Walking Dead went, I stopped watching. Wrestling for whatever reason is easier to step away from and come back. Maybe it's various charater stories twine into the show. Vince is probably gonna undo everything Triple H had done over the last 7-8 months. If Vince butchers the product then yes SOME fans will stop following until they have reason to follow again.

Raw had one of their most watched shows (this year) on Monday, even if it was poorly rated by those same mark fans and Twitter personalities that know it all yet have never worked the business.

Was it a good episode of Raw? Not really. Was it the worst thing ever? Absolutely not. People just carried their Sunday WrestleMania night 2 complaining to the next night...meanwhile WWE was enjoying a nice number, the same night as the NCAA Championship.

Those mark fans will hate watch Raw, whether it's a good show or not lolz

Even Cody knows AEW is not the ultimate in performance and showcasing your skills. He created his own promotion and still needs validation from WWE
