Who’s watching the Live Chris Rock Netflix special tonight???

It's crazy...

It's like we can't be mad at Will but be empathetic of him

Sad for Chris proud of Chris and think maybe he went a little too far but at the same time understand.

ALL THESE THINGS can be true and valid at the same time

It's called being human

Nothing is cut dry black white

It's messy

And these SAME people swore for months the whole thing was FAKE anyway

You can't say it was fake then make 20 posts about how they should feel.

I agree

this is a part I think everyone keeps forgetting with all there hot takes and opinions and fake outrage

Hollywood or not?

These are REAL people

with real feelings and emotions

there are children and young people involved.

ON BOTH SIDES

NONE of them deserve or signed up for all this.

Will should've thought of that before slapped Chris. They can't control his reaction just like Will couldn't control his emotions.

I understand

But there is hollywood then there is real life.

I've seen serious bloodshed averted by a simple one on one face to face or phone call.

it's always OTHER PEOPLE that make sh*t complicated

What does it really matter if the apology is public or not? We seen some of the worst public apologies ever and been FORCED to accept them.

But we have also heard that the two parties met up behind the scenes and is all good.

If you REALLY just want peace between people...

Why do we care how its done?

If Will had privately talked to Chris and they both released a statement that read it was all good...

Would that be enough for YOU?

Shouldn't it be if it's enough for Chris?

The N word thing is more complicated. But even that. If Louie apologized - now that is public because he insulted an entire GROUP of people and Chris said he was shocked in the moment and didn't know what to in the moment (which is apparently his go to move) isn't that enough?
Nah cause real life will use it
U see it with Disney movies
Real life people ones complaining
That aint no comedian shit
Seinfeld reaction showed that
Also remember when ti had to chek wayne for his dumbass comment about racism
He did so cause he did in public.
Also f apology my thing be witty come with a comeback let move on
Any other comedian would be called coon
But cause is chris rock is cool

Weirdos vs weirdos

hold on I am NOT copping any pleas for Will

Trust me.

He effected his kids and family AND more so Chris kids and family

I'm saying all this is a mess.

Cause now Chris came back and mentioned Will kids...

so now is it open game to mention Chris kids?

You get what I'm saying.

^^^

that part I disagree with to an extent but I GET what you saying

You right.

But interesting

Chris aint react to getting slapped in the face by millions

and you expect him to react to the n word in front of his friends peers and idols BACK THEN?

I'm not saying he did the RIGHT thing

I'm saying my expectation of people in general is low as f*ck

I know I would have said something because I have BEEN in that situation before

I believe YOU wouldn't stand for that

I also think Will smith would not have let that slide ironically enough.

But that aint universal and I cannot CONDEMN someone for it.

We know folk who have stood by and let WORSE happen.

And remember Louie is a VERY good friend of Chris (wrote on his HBO show)

so I don't know hat he let slide with him previous to that.

^^^^

Bo is gonna lean into that one on one format because he himself does therapy and isn't into comedy like that. Bo is a brilliant mind but he got blind spots. This stuff to me isn't rocket science.

Chris dd what he does where he feels "safe" and comfortable and empowered.

ON STAGE

Especially when someone he thought was a "friend" tried to TAKE that security blanket from him

Especially when we know Chris has some social skills issues

Chris needed to take his sh*t back.

Again I GET Bo's point Chris DOES need some type of therapy but you can't tell him he was WRONG to do something that Pryor Murphy and Chappelle have all done before him.

It's simpler than that.
Interview = Money for the interviewer
On Stage = Money for Chris

your probably right

I don't think its THAT simple..

I think there would be a major bidding war from a quite a few major outlets to have gotten a one on one interview

even LIVE

Cause you get much more deeper.

damn Bo should have just sat this one out

he getting killed and getting sensitive.

but he is right..

at least do him the courtesy of LIESNTING to the entire thing before commenting on one sentence

(although Bo? YOU yourself posted that one sentence to draw attention so you kinda can't use that as a defense)

Yea, sometime he dont know when to just shut up.

He waited too long.

This is what I think too. The entertainment world is strange though. Some things are allowed to be dragged out, while other things are cut short with the quickness.

Ironically, if this was about getting reparations or something, there would be people talking about letting the past go.

Strange world we live in lol.

It is why I have waited to watch it after all the circus has cleared. I thought when I saw social media attacking him over his Michael Jackson unprovoked jokes comparing him to R. Kelly that this may be hit or miss. He goes there with all the material built up online with Will and Jada over the years lol. The commentary in the thread just makes me think making money from the incident and wanting people to feel sorry for you is hilarious.

How many people would love for that to happen to them after getting violated in more serious manner.

It is that simple! A bidding war will not be as much as Rock doing it on stage. And like he said, he's not going to be a victim.

And pierre mostly on the other side and he is agreeing with me. Noticed the reaction on what he should do? This aint rocket science.
Even hear waht rodney said.

And these are real comedians. Even they felt away but listen to geechiedan its the other way lol

the closest I got to a white comic friend is Pierre.... :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

At the end of the day NONE OF THEM (including YOU) were in that room in that moment.

EVERYONE is Billy Badass when its a WHAT-WOULD-YOU-HAVE-DONE question. Of course if you KNEW it was coming you would have reacted differently OF COURSE:rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

you have no idea how youd react if cops falsely pulled you over with bad attitudes tomorrow....

you have no idea how youd react if you caught your woman in bed with your best friend later this day

you have no idea how youd react if your boss said some slick racial shit and everyone laffed in a conference room meeting an hour from now.

Anyone looking at YOUR reaction to those incidences from the comfort of their home NEVER having to deal with it...OF COURSE youre like "I'D BE TELLING THESE MOTHERFUCKAS TO KISS MY BLACK ASS!" :rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

Chris didn't wake up that morning and go ok..I'm gonna do show with Gervais and Louie and they may say some fucked up racial shit so GET READY!!

It happened..it CLEARLY caught him off guard and you CLEARLY dont agree with his reaction.

Here's a question. Why come Chris can be diagnosed with a social disorder that makes it difficult for him to pick up on some social cues and thats a reason why he failed to deal with a confrontation with Will Smith YET he should have KNOWN how to deal with Gervais and CK IN THE MOMENT THEY SAID SOME ILL SHIT in joking in a show about stand up comedy????

I'll wait:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

and pierre and that other guy WISH they had chris rocks career.

One of the worst things that isn't spoken about is how even though Chris says that's his man and they're close, CK still doesn't get it.

Louis thought he was saying that he was down and Chris co-signed him, but Louis used the hard "R" which showed that he still didn't have a clue.

And Chris didn't correct him.

First Louis shouldn't have said it in the first place, but to think that he's down and understands but still gets it wrong.

It shows that they're all lost and respect to Jerry.

^^^^

We CANNOT forget THAT important part.

cause right there s why we shouldn't generalize and paint in a broad bruh

I GURANTEE there is a LARGE segment of the black population that would bet their ANNUAL salary that Chris Rock of all people would NEVER let that slide.

A Jewish person said not only do I not LIKE that word

I have no NEED nor DESIRE to use it

that is some deep sh*t.

You see how they stay on code.

If EVERY Black person going forward asked a white person who was trying to make some n word debate WHY do you feel the NEED and DESIRE to say it?

It would be shut down.

much respect to Jerry.

And he made them BOTH look like low level suckers in the process.

And again I think its gonna be Chris worst nightmare now

Cause SELECTIVE OUTRAGE is gonna go into effect on HIM

and it already has.

But I think this n-word incident, his previous Oscar speech going at Jada when she wasn't there and deliberately targeting her AGAIN when she WAS present?

We seeing the tide shifting AGAIN.

But with all that?

Aint NOBODY co signing Will SLAPPING Chris a the Oscars

BUT... I'm seeing more and more people bringing in more evidence that maybe Will was more "justified" to do it then ever before

based on Chris' fuckery in the past that is suddenly being highlighted.

which is CRAZY.

You're probably right, I thought the storm for him had passed but I could be wrong.

Most didn't see the N word incident with Louis CK and when they did it was years later. Some are just now seeing it.

Definitely more information is coming out about Chris speaking about Jada making people think Will was right to slap him...

Just not at that time

would you be happier if Louie said it was the A??

other than those two Oscar shows...when has chris spoken about jada on the stand up stage or podcast or any public forum?
