{The Official 2021-22 NBA Thread} - Finals: Warriors vs Celtics…{4-2 advantage warriors } Dubs NBA champs, Curry MVP

Bruh it is far safer for you to assume that there's NOTHING you know that I don't know. Everyone knows about Wilt's history in track, etc. So don't waste another keystroke. Speculation is a cop out. Creating hypothetical situations about things that can never be proven. Cousy was for context MORON. No one is saying slow ass Cousy deserves anything. But when you claim Wilt deserves consideration for his dominance in an era where HE was one of the biggest, athletes you open the door for all the other players of long ago for consideration who were dominant at their respective position. Just because you don't get it doesn't mean it lack merit. Peace is the best option.
The only cop out is your word soup response filled with nonsensical bullshit my man. And stop with the moonwalk bullshit on Wilt. You had no got dam clue on his impact on the game as evidenced by you're continued insistence on reducing his advantage to size only. Foh.

But I understand

They thought they had a coach

All that was left was the ink.

He didn't have to take the job

But he also didn't need to tell them yes

And they have the right to feel disappointed and angry and embarrassed.

But I don't like the media acting like this was the first time this happened

Cause it is not
They don't have any rights
Lol

He said yea then changed his mind
Don't be in a rush to report until it's actually done
YUP. Congratulations Bills. You deserve it. Long as punk pussy Beeiii doesn't get to celebrate everything is alright wit me. :roflmao2: :roflmao2: :roflmao2: :roflmao2: :roflmao2: DAT BITCH NIGGA GHOST LIKE A MUTHAFUCKA AIN'T HE? :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Ain't beeiiin in here since

Cmon cuz

You get a yes from the prettiest girl in school to go to the prom

You telling everybody

They ain't do nothing wrong here.

The NO is fine

But it was late and not how you do things

I support him making his decision, he did the right thing

But I can't act like it was perfectly done.

That's OK but he gotta take that L

Along with that championship ring and sweet succession seat behind Kerr

Word soup, Translation? You use too many big words. (LOL)

I can understand Wilt. Watching Wilt on film. The cat was a fucking beast. Would he have trouble with Shaq. Hell yeah. Who wouldn't with prime Shaq? I been waiting for another Shaq for 30 fucking years. And this is the era of global talent, weights, premium nutrition, and still nothing close to him.

Now the one player that gets put in the top 10 that has no fucking place in their is Bill Russell. It's like no one has watched his film and they are scared to go against tradition. Just parrot his name. His offense was unbearable to watch and his pace-adjusted numbers ain't that great. Bill deserves respect for everything he did as a pioneer, but no fucking way is he top 10.

This is honest. To even suggest that Wilt's dominance was not predicated on his stature (first) and talent second would be a blatant lie. Would he have been Wilt at 6'6? Would Shaq? Dominance predicated on SIZE first doesn't mean it's predicated solely on size. Wilt shot over 80% from the line which could be interpreted as the ability to stretch the defense a bit which could give someone like Shaq some problems but the fact is Wilt didn't shoot jumpers because he didn't have to due to his overwhelming physicality. Shaq is in the same boat. Now Russell? Shaq would have eaten him alive in the square. Hakeem? Far to athletic and skilled for him to be "Bill Russell" against him. Plus Hakeem was a crazy defender. Imagine Russell out on the perimeter against the likes of Ewing who had range. Hell a LOT of Centers today would have taken both Wilt and Russell away from the basket.

These facts don't negate either's impact or recognition of greatness. The question is are we supposed to keep them in the top ten because they were the firsts or is this list going to evolve based on talent? Russell gets bounced. Wilt gets bounced in my opinion. Wilt ain't scoring 50pts per game, etc. in today's NBA because the small forwards and power forwards are 6'9, 6'10, etc. and are athletic.

The truth? This ain't about showing Russell or Wilt love. It's about creating a narrative that keeps Curry out of the top ten conversation. It's personal for the LeBronistas. Can't talk basketball without that dude taking up most of the space in their brain.

I apologize for entering your conversation. Shaq would back down and dunk on every center due to his size and strength.

I'm out.

No apologies Bruh. It's just a basketball conversation. Shaq is underrated as hell as a Center. Why? Because folks have a sense of deference to Russell and Chamberlain. In the box he'd kill them just as you suggested.

I find this shit insulting,Tatum got a team around him while Lebron had to carry bums to the Finals....:smh::smh::smh:
He got a better team for sure but I don't know how much more that Celtics team can do with no point guard and Marcus Smart being their 3rd best player. Brown and Tatum just aren't consistent enough. They failed with Kyrie but that's honestly the level of player they need. They were on a high. They won't make the Finals next year without some construction.

Stop a elite shooter from scoring
No, the hardest thing to do in basketball is shoot! Not defense, not passing, not rebounding; shooting is the hardest thing to do; Majority can’t and or don’t shoot well enough. So if said player mastered the hardest skill to do; does it better than anyone before and during him. Then what does that say about said player?

Well, it shouldn't be blasphemy to say Steph over Russell in the top 10. Just watch them play. Holy shit. Steph is a problem as soon as he crosses half court. Bill's offense is just terrible on the block and that was in the fucking 60s. I can't say shit about Baylor, Wilt, Oscar, or the logo looking clumsy on offense. Bill's highest scoring was 18 BACK THEN. Pace adjust that shit and it's 10ppg. His rebounding would be around 12. Wilt's pace-adjusted number put him more inline with today's top scorers, that's Why I keep him top 10. They changed rules because of Kareem and Wilt.

Curry deserves his respect because I sure would have given him the business had he lost. Im not like people who don't like Lebron or Jordan(again, his shot fucked up my cavs  ). I can admit greatness even when I don't like the player.

How can folks sit down, watch game film of steph. Then go watch game film of Bill. And say with a straight fucking face bill over steph? Steph earned his spot with the hardware, stats, but more importantly that game film passes the eye test and backs the numbers.

People wonder how one day can change a players ranking. It just does because hardware solidifies the deal. Can change the thread title to "Steph proves he is the man!" Fuck it. I don't like it, but it is what the fuck it is.

Ain't no difference between Steph and Dame

matter of fact Dame is hitting 3s in the bubble so I know steph injured but he gotta earn his spot back cause Dame is clearly number 1 now cause he hit 3s in the bubble HAS NEVER BEEN DOUBLE TEAMED AND IS JUST ALLOWED TO TAKE THE GAME WINNING SHOTS CAUSE FUCK IT WHO CARES

He won a game in the playoffs in the bubble against Lebron and the lakers! clearly better!

It's not about anything other than keeping steph out of the conversation

because people go at lebron and say he don't have 6 rings
but bill russell has 11 but nobody ever mentions that shit do they
nor do they mention he got 11 rings and no final mvp's but the trophy is named after him
cause finals mvps didn't matter until it became something you could slander steph with

I actually like Steph but he way y'all on his dick is really starting to make me hate him.

HATE HIM
ain't nobody on his dick its been 2 years of SLANDER and him needing to PROVE he can lead a team like he wasn't already a champion
it was extreme HOE SHIT by pundits and others
mentioning these other people with him like they were in competiton

niggas was like idk maybe dame

Steph has literally never lost a playoff game to dame
i don't mean series
i mean a SINGLE FUCKING GAME

and before we start
KD only played in 1 of those games against dame lillard

steph came off of the mcl sprain and dropped 41 on DAME
but dame is the guy?

Nah The majority of NBA players can and do shoot well enough on certain levels, but once they reach NBA they are faced with defenders who are bigger, stronger and quicker that's when shooting becomes difficult for some of them. The fact that Curry is still able to score at such a high level with bigger and stronger players guarding him means he's great

Sitting watching Steph play then watching Bill Russell play and comparing them Is kinda foolish. The game has to evolve so of course the players today are more skilled than players in the past.

It's like watching Dr. J and MJ's dunks from back in the day and calling them wack. Dunkers today are better dunkers but todays dunks had to evolve from them.

Bill earned his spot with his hardware.

Iggy out here calling mg Curry better than Magic Johnson. WTF :smh:. How the hell can Curry be Top 10 over any of these people

Lebron
Jordan
Wilt
Russell
Kareem
Shaq
Olajuwan
Bird
Kobe
Isiah
Duncan
Julius

How the hell can Steph knock off THREE of these players?

Steph knocked off Lebrom head to head 3 times, in 10 years that gonna be a discussion thats for sure. Shit has 6 years to get two more. At that point :hmm:
:hmm:

Hardly. Because I can watch West, Oscar, and Baylor from the same era as Russell and love the smoothness of their game. Russell on offense was visually offensive. :smh:

When J.R. rider did a between his legs dunk 30 years ago. Didn't take away from Dr. J, Mike, and Wilkins who I never saw do that shit. Jordan and doc still coming from the stripe. Wilkins still has his head at the rim. Eye test is there.

Some shit just holds up with time, other shit doesn't pass the eye test. 40 years from now, Steph's film will still show him shooting like a madman even if 10 players are shooting better than 50% for 3 while jacking up 10 per game.
