I agree but I just saw Good Morning America segment in it. They interviewed the teller and she asked him for ID, he gave it and she said cause it was his California driver's license it made her nervous. Plus he also had put in his bank card and pin to verify who he was. This was all on her.

These retail banking situations confuse me. I deal directly with the branch manager when going into a retail location. Walking up off the street with that type of bread seems odd to me.

At Bank of America, you need to insert your debit/credit card and enter your PIN number (and show your ID) before your transaction even starts. This shouldn't have been an issue.

Coogler played it dumb writing a note to a Bank Teller. That's suspicious. I understand his reasoning for doing so tryna be discreet and all, but that's why you go to a branch manager for a large transaction like that.

It's not. It's common to write done denomination request and any other instructions (including how you want money banded and concealed) during withdrawal.

That transaction was perfectly normal and appropriate by the customer. Which is why BOA issued apology and cut a fucking check within a month.

Yes. And even that - at most- only means flag and report to financial institution and IRS. Not "call 911 and say you're being robbed!" .

He used his card, pin, and presented ID. If there was an issue she was behind glass and could have simply asked for clarification. There is zero excuse for putting this mans freedom and safety at risk. But like most bank tellers, she is low skilled, and probably low IQ, resulting in this fuck up.
I don't bank at BOA. We have withdrawal slips with your info at mine. And I pull out large amounts all the time. Like I said before, I've had my accounts ripped off. I'd want the teller to question anyone pulling out a large amount with note in a heartbeat were it my account.
