Netfix: OZARK Season 4 Discussion Thread (spoilers) (season 4 trailer!!) (drops 1/21/2022)

Kinda turned into a shit show. I mean.....what's the big deal with killing everyone in the town? I mean when Helen bit it that was crazy but this shit here? And why when Marty is under the gun there is always this feeling like  he'll talk his way out, and he does! Also, he related to wolverine? For somebody who gets his ass whupped so often and takes a beating in his face, he sure does recover fast! Darlene went out like a sucker :smh:Too many WTFs
Yeah this the first time I’m like everyone else gets a bullet in the head before they can even say a word but Marty be allowed to buy time and save his shit every time lol.

She got the Milf middle age look going for her…them titties sitting right in that first pic….

I’m not reading comments yet. I’m at episode 6 and it’s a great season. However, it feels like way too many plot twists. Absolutely nothing they agree to goes smoothly. If they ordered a a damn pizza Navarro would have the driver killed, the son would snitch and Ruth would clean it all up, only to get snitched on by Wyatt, who ate all the Cheerios. Then Marty goes “I guess I’ll fix it!” but he can’t because Wendy lied to the plug, so now I, Bgbtylvr, has to clean all this shit up….until my chick goes “Are you still posting on BGOL?” To which I reply, “BGOL? What’s that?” as the camera pulls back and I realize…. :( ….she knows too much.
:roflmao3:

Finished it up. Honestly, there are no redeeming characters left on the show. (Except the baby)

Everybody is either acting selfish or making the worst decisions ever.

Now for my rant...
Gotdamn this seaon was frustrating to watch.

From the level of disrespect Jonah was doing to the controlling manipulation from Wendy to the sheer stupid decisions the other main characters were making.

My biggest pet peeve was how the locals like Darlene and Ruth thought they were untouchable. Even when they were told the Mexican cartel would fuck their shit up they were on some, "Fuck them".

What the fuck is ruth little ass gonna do? Wyatt was right that she can't help herself. She fights with everybody just because. She really think she can go up against a cartel with no retaliation? Even when she was trying to get the drugs back from the Playstation dude she got the shit slapped out of her. I know she is a major staple to the show but I see her dying soon in the 2nd half.

Wyatt used to piss me off with how he just followed Darlene around like a lost puppy. But when he had that talk with Ruth it made sense. The kid can from nothing. And I really me nothing. No smarts, no skills, no place in society. He finally felt loved and that got him pussy whipped.

Darlene got what was coming to her. We all seen that coming.

Wendy. (ugh) I could right numerous pages about Wendy but I won't. I can sum it up in one sentence... She is THE cancer to everything and everyone involved in this, period!

Marty just needs to grow a spine and start backhanding some mouths. I know he wants to keep his family together but geez. My theory, you notice how they had him reminiscing about his old business plans and dealings. I think Marty will also remember how Wendy was cheating on him and ask, "Why am I with this bitch?" After all this is over I would be surprised if Wendy is taken out.

Agent Miller did too much. She may have put her life and career on the line. But, damn, I see where she was coming from.

Honestly, I think in the end everybody should die. I think the only survivor should be the daughter Charlotte, agent Miller and the other agents, the pharmaceutical lady, and the baby that Darlene stole.
Excellent. But rather than spineless, I see Marty as a counterpuncher. And I think they have been deft in how they depict the complex relationship between Ruth and Marty. The heart of the show IMO.

I see Wendy getting murked before it's all said and done. Her need for power and the way they are making her look like an evil power hungry cunt is what leads me to believe that the writers will have the cartel kill her.

That P.I. guy is working for the FEDS in some way. That coke problem and getting busted for doing coke in the evidence lock up is his cover story.

Hate that we have to wait almost another year to see how all this plays out.

I actually think the son or daughter gets taken out first...then Wendy will become wreckless

They can take out Johnah's annoying ass.... J/K. I just rewatched the entire series and the kids just ask too many questions and back talk all the time.

Although I don't see them killing kids on the show. That would be a bit much.

He is gonna eventually take them down for the murder of Ben and the Sheriff.
I wonder what's going to happen to that private investigator w/ the coke problem.

That was another area where I was like how many times can one person show up at your door or knock on your damn window before you tell him to fuck off!!!

Riding around in hoopties is smart as fuck. That mentally is why Marty is still alive. Remember when the therapist got the sports car? What happened to her? Smh. Are you paying attention nigga?
You ain't lying. It's like they focused on what the average white people (in the Midwest) on whole actually look like with no makeup, etc.

And why the hell are they still riding around in whoopties, pretending to not have the funds to drive a decent vehicle, but they run a casino. :dunno:

Did the therapist buy a modern sedan or an exotic car? Marty's ride has the first-generation shoulder harness that connected to the corner of the window. His whip is from the late 80s to early 90s. The van ain't nowhere near that old...around 2005, so why not drive something of a similar age?

Does that NOT draw as much scrutiny to a muhfucka who runs a Riverboat casino? I ask that because I'm paying attention nigga.

Ruth drives a later vehicle than her boss? FOH.

I also think this helps the story in a way. A car can add to the "personality" of a character. It could be a weird sort of character distraction if you give them new or newer cars. Marty is all business and no frills. He really doesn't give a shit. Wendy's minivan is new enough.

Even the Snells drive that super basic pick up. Goes to their show character that they are millionaires, but live humbly.

Of course the Cartels have the all black SUVs.

There are so many vehicle scenes, the cars are almost characters of their own in a way.

Being flashy draw more attention. You will be pulled over more. Smh. You bugging. They literally talk about how Marty will not upgrade in the season. It is by design.

No offense but you thinking like a nigga.

What Deezz added makes complete sense (as far as reflecting the character's nature) but you act as though I'm talking about he should be flossin' and that is far from the case.

If I'm looking at TENT, who happens to run a casino and lives in a lakehouse, has a new speedboat to ferry across the water, has a funeral home and crematorium on the side but drives a fucking 1989 Oldsmobile 98, I'm wondering WTF? They don't even make parts for that shit anymore.

Again, Ruth drives a much better vehicle than HE does. His EMPLOYEE! How does that add up? It's not like it's a classic car either. The carpet just don't match the drapes.

BTW, READ what I write and don't just go looking for cosigners who you think bolster your POV without even considering why I posted such an observation, to begin with.

How do we apply that to his boat?

I thought that boat was Buddy's. Not sure though.

That is a nice ass boat though.

Plus, you would at least need a reliable newer boat if you are on the water as much as they are.
That would be the one thing they would spend a few bucks on, if they bought it.

The low profile theory still holds true for Marty, Wendy, and the kids or any drug dealer in real life. They are all frugal in how they live. Even now that they are millionaires, they stay in that outdated, albeit, pretty cool home on the lake. They don't remodel that bitch or anything.

That's always smart in the business that they are in. That's probably why the Snells have been able to sell heroin that long without issues. They don't get too flashy with all of their drug money.

NOTE: Omi in a Hellcat - Flashy bastard with all his expensive toys and homes. Headed to federal prison.

... you would at least need a reliable ...
This is what I've been thinking. They're moving around million of dollars in cash from place to place and he's driving a vehicle that has been on the road for 30+ years. If something goes wrong they could be stuck on the side of the road with that, left to the mercy of the locals, several of who know what they do. Even if they don't have cash with them when it breaks down, they could be looking at days or more to get parts. Their current vehicles wouldn't get a second look on those backwater rural roads, but neither would a 2010 to 2015 dodge ford or chevy.

Omi is the opposite end of the spectrum. He's a good example of what would make the "Acting Sheriff" just as suspicious as him driving what he is.
She's gonna be thinking, "Hmmm, one of these things is not like the other."

Is an 05 Lexus gonna raise any eyebrows? Is that TOO flashy or does it more closely match what Wendy is driving?

The daughter's Mystery Mobile is probably appropriate in some sense, in order to blend in with the local yokels (to get high in and fuck, etc.) and the bratty son is still riding bikes.

I'm not wondering why Marty isn't pushing a Bentley or anything but it doesn't make any sense to push an eyebrow raising POS whooptie either. That Lexus would fit his white collar profile just as suitably for remaining under the radar. That's ALL I'm saying.

Bro, I'm with you.

Marty was basic in Chicago too w/ his cars. They were giving him shit about his Camry.

Considering that they have all those businesses, I don't think even a newer Lexus or 70K pick up would raise any eyebrows. They are obviously swimming in money and everyone knows it.

That's why I think the only reason the story writers keep them in basic vehicles is character related.

Yup. This is my whole point about the old ride as opposed to something in the year model of the van at the very least. Nothing flashy, just something reliable and up to date.

Exactly, because a few people know they move tons of cash and would take advantage if an easy come up presented itself.

In the show it is addressed. Marty doesn’t give a fuck. Your question is answered. Why you still asking the question? It was addressed.

Someone eating a chocolate Sundae every morning on the show it is weird. But then if someone asks the character why they eat the sundae and they say “I know it is weird I don’t care though”. Why you still tripping?

He is low key and maybe he can fix his own car? Maybe he has parts?

I must've been so wrapped up in WTF he's driving that POS that I missed the point where they addressed it. I'm asking the question because it made no sense to me. If you can't figure that out without acting as though YOU were the showrunner, then damn Bruh.

Where the fuck he gettin' AC Delco parts from, Ebay Motors?

Whether Marty gives a fuck or NOT, to ME as a casual viewer of this character, it STILL raises questions in MY mind aside from how he is written or scripted. This is what I'm reacting to. In real life, I'd have questions in my mind.

Can you attempt to understand that? He can be frugal but FUCK but that's penny-pinching to the extreme. For what?

I say again, read my responses and instead of attempting to be the absolute authority on what is correct, why don't you try to ask questions to see why arrived at the conclusions that I have.

Learn how to have a constructive conversation Bruh.

Late '22 or early '23 per the internets.
naw fam... JB said the final season would be split i two parts.. one drop early in the year and the last part will drop later this year. It already filmed. they just pulling some lord of the rings type of shit to keep everyone coming back for that final dose.. on some level off shit.
