Kevin Hart & Wesley Snipes To Star As Brothers In ‘True Story’ (spoilers)

how trust worthy is someone who's willing to blackmail you? plus the main issue for kid was trying get back control of his life. Not allowing someone to have something on you that gives them control. Giving in to ANY demand like that doesn't give kid control of his life back...no matter who's doing it.
nah... after all the shit though, he knew Hersch would ever play him like that plus, he took a bullet for him, plus he knew all of Kid's shit. The way i interpreted, Hersch was like, you were gonna play someone who didn't deserver or earn it, shit might as well pay me because you know despite your fuck up, I'm still here for you. that was lint money for the kids, yeah 6mil was cheap for the bodies he had on him.

Kid talked about Hersch like Hersch was Black John Wick, but they didn't show none of that. Hersch was emotional with the CAC on the plane, got his nose opened by the comedienne, got punched in the mouth by Kid (didn't block or duck as a 7th degree blackbelt), kept losing track of his client while his client was doing hella shit with a stalker fan tailing him, got shot (and his gun taken) during a shootout, then threatened the only man in the room who'd caught mad bodies the whole series (Kid) while extorting him for six million dollars in hush money. Can somebody please explain to me like I'm a dumb, drunk toddler, how Hersch is NOT a bitchass nigga?? :dunno:
1. Hersch didn't get emotional, he just flash a lil black man rage to get the cac to back the fuck off. No need to get physical because Kid would be charge with that shit. You got to assume he done heard it all before and knows how to deal with ignorant ass people who confront Kid.

2. It was a sucker punch. anybody can get it, that's why its called sucker punch. If you know you can beat the shit out of someone, why bother to go there when you know they don't want it. That's what he did and said to kid, the first one is free but he really wasn't tripping about that.

3. The client gonna and will have free range and its hard to keep track of someone who violates their own protocols. If your employers says to give him the room and after you walk out, slips out another door, what can you really do about that? You get paid to follow instructions, not to violate your clients prerogative's.

4. As far as the gun scene.. shit can happen after all bodyguard are paid to take a bullet or get an ass whooping if need be.

5. Hersch never threatened. He just said, shit if you gonna pay $$ to a mofo, break me off, you know I'm good for it and have earned it many times over. Kids wasn't tripping about the money. It was lint money to him, so he didn't care either way. Mentally, he was in a different space. Hersch didn't threaten but simply appealed to the common sense resolution to a problem, Kid with the help of his brother created.

Sugar Hill was a movie about drugs. Users and pushers. This doesn't give any type of Sugar Hill vibes other than Wesley being in it...
I missed that. I felt it was a movie about moving past your assumed, assigned station in life and how others had plans for you. Wesly's character wanted more but everyone kept wanting him to stay in his place. The drugs was just the vehicle but it could have been about anything. a ton of movies are about similar/same themes.

I thought the movie was dope.

Predictable as fuck..

But shit was entertaining and kept a knigga glued to the screen

The crazy shit is ..its supposed to be a true story..

About WHO tho??

but he didn't pay someone or anyone else 6 mil. Thats why the bodies stacked up. If 6 mil was no problem then he would have paid the first guy off. hersh is a bodyguard its his job to take a bullet for his client if need be. And quite frankly they didn't flesh out his character enough to show much of anything in regards to their relationship. Take away the extortion and dead bodies and say a crazy fan threatened kid and hersh jumped in front of a bullet for him...he wouldn't have paid him 6 mil for that. Thats why that part of the ending just seemed not quite right...imo.

1. Kid literally had to tell Hersch to fall back and chill when Hersch was about to baptize that devil. Which would've fucked Kid up. That situation called for stone cold, no-nonsense energy, not "rage." (Which is an emotion.)

2. Not just any seventh-degree blackbelts are getting sucker punched all willy nilly... it's called reflexes. If your reflexes are too slow to block your client's slow, untrained punch, what's stopping someone else from sucker punching you out cold and doing your client harm?

3. This makes no sense applied to Hersch considering the only reason he was able to extort Kid for 6 million dollars is because he blatantly did not follow Kid's instructions to give him some privacy in the VIP box. Meanwhile, a whole fanatic keeping closer tabs on Kid than Hersch... who sat downstairs chillin' while Kid's brother beat his ass.

4. He didn't willingly take a bullet. He got caught lackin'. When those devils started bustin shots, Hersch drew down, too, but the devil was a better shot than the highly trained marksman. Kid turned out to be a more accurate shot than his own bodyguard.

5. Hersch literally blackmailed Kid... blackmailing requires a threat to be effective. Hersch is a bitchmade nigga.

Exactly. Even the cracka knew Hersch was on some fuckshit for extorting Kid and Kid's excuse for going along with it made no sense. Hersch would never get another paycheck again, until or unless he worked off that 6 milli. That shit would be an advance at best... but I'm sure the manager could find an ex-Mossad hitman to do Hersch for much less.

I agree with all of this

That "The first one's free" was NOT PLAYING

And as @Ming Fei Hong mentioned ( first of all brother, where have you been? I haven't seen you around these parts for a while. Good having you back bro), it's kind of hard when the guy you're supposed to be protecting keeps breaking protocol

For example, I love Brad Paisley music, so I've been to 9 of his concerts th past 9 years.

Every time he jumps off the stage and runs through the crowd I can see the security losing their shit because he is breaking protocol and their job is to protect him which he is making it difficult for them to do

Great damned show though. The end caught me by surprise for sure

i think it's just kevin's story with some murder embellishment added

a lot of that stuff with his inner circle and his wife he's talked about before.
I agree.with this.

If your true story is 1 thru 10, you can use 1 thru 5 and substitute or embellish 6 thru 10 just to make a good story

I wonder if the dead stripper, was just symbolic of him being set up with that

chick, with the cameras and shit...

but either way, shit was dope, but what was even more dope

was seeing Wesly Snipes still killin the acting game!!!

if he was a cac, he would still be blade!!!
