Props to kev stepping out of his comfort zone for this movie role. He nailed it 100%.

Man this shit was waaaaay better than I thought! The irony of Westley sucking up to someone famous! Shit, they could turn this into a series for real! Kevin did decent in this with his lil sawed off ass.
I hear people keep saying this and I agree he did a great job, but other than murking niggas he literally played himself!
But if you remember it didn't cost him 6 million at the end because he was getting the studio to pay it.
Plus he would have paid Ari had he not been greedy and he knew Ari would have never stopped asking for money.
His man just took a bullet for him and he knows that's a done deal plus having someone you can trust at that level is worth the money.

how trust worthy is someone who's willing to blackmail you? plus the main issue for kid was trying get back control of his life. Not allowing someone to have something on you that gives them control. Giving in to ANY demand like that doesn't give kid control of his life back...no matter who's doing it.
That wasn't blackmail he didn't threaten to tell. It needed to cost him something. 6 people died to save his career and reputation. Even though he was making the studio pay him.

I just saw this 1.5 times. I woke up during episode 4 on Thanksgiving and saw some of it between eating and talking but I understood the plot and saw the end.
Seeing it start to finish over the past day, this shit was excellent. Extremely plausible

That's what it was. His man getting shot wasn't a good look. He literally failed to do his job as a bodyguard by getting taken out immediately, leaving Kid to fend for himself. He was fucking Kid's subordinate under Kid's nose, eaves dropped on what was supposed to be a private conversation, then blackmailed Kid with the info he overheard. Even though the money is coming from the studio, it's Kid paying off his most "trusted" personnel to not fuck him over while the CAC didn't ask for shit to keep quiet. That six million would be better spent on a hit man to kill the bodyguard, his girlfriend, and the manager. Clean house. Fuck it.
Kid talked about Hersch like Hersch was Black John Wick, but they didn't show none of that. Hersch was emotional with the CAC on the plane, got his nose opened by the comedienne, got punched in the mouth by Kid (didn't block or duck as a 7th degree blackbelt), kept losing track of his client while his client was doing hella shit with a stalker fan tailing him, got shot (and his gun taken) during a shootout, then threatened the only man in the room who'd caught mad bodies the whole series (Kid) while extorting him for six million dollars in hush money. Can somebody please explain to me like I'm a dumb, drunk toddler, how Hersch is NOT a bitchass nigga??
First and foremost, I am not surprised at Kevin.
I was surprised at who he played in True Story, but I could tell by the way Kev interviews, he would be a great dramatic actor.
He has an authentic quality to him.
And Wes is one of the most underrated actors of our time.
His range is unbelievable.

Believe it or not, Kev could leave an even larger dramatic role legacy if he puts I. The same work he did for his comedy.

So I enjoyed this...loved the actors in it....this story was some silly ass shit at times though lol. I can't tell if that was done on purpose or what lol. I feel like we've passed the "spoiler" stage but I won't spoil it but I could tell where this shit was going the minute the first scene started...

Yeah like I said earlier in this thread i'm not even a fan of funny Kevin....but he's making a fan out of me for his dramatic roles...straight up my favorite shit from him is all his dramatic stuff. He's getting some solid roles and his picking them correctly.
To me as a comic he still needs that classic comedy film. The great comedians all have it. He has the ability to make a great dark/twisted type comedy with his range if they get the right people behind it.
Just wanted to add this: I’d have given the girl some extra bread because she came clean. Actually had a conscious about her. Just me though.

I like the show but there were a few observations....
1. Why is Juice always dying in a bitch ass manner??? (the black dude from Sons of Anarchy)
2. to be as popular as he's supposed to be...the kid has no paparazzi issues other than one obsessive fan??
3. didn't really like the conclusion with him giving 6 million to his bodyguard. This whole thing started because the kid refused to be extorted and exorbitantly so. Bodies piled up around him quickly behind that shit...so why would be agree to give his employee so much money for the same reason.
Especially when all the Hersh had was his word against the kids. The kid should have said something like:
Hersh..all this started because people tried to use me. But I like you and your one of the few people I feel I can trust. So here's my counter offer...
Because I treated you like shit the last week AND you're not just a great bodyguard but a good friend AND you took a bullet for me..I'm going to give you TRIPLE what your current salary is PLUS a healthy bonus for the next 3 Christmases. And I insulted your relationship with your girlfriend and I was wrong for that so I'll look out for her too starting with opening for me at Madison Square Garden.
