Now the triviality. Don't recast T'Challa and scrap Black Panther 2.

Serious question: how would you all feel about John David Washington?

He does resemble Bosman juuuuuuuust a bit, but how do you all feel about his acting?

Serious answer, no.

No shots, but I have doubts about him pulling off the dialect/ dialogue..... dudes voice is just not it. Now could he do the action/ believable enough action, yeah probably. ....

2nd dude is short(er), 5'9 to Chadwicks 6'0.
I know it's "only" 2-3 inches, but 2-3 inches is just noticeable enough on screen. That's why James Marsden had to wear Stacks when on screen with Hugh Jackman....

Yahya Abdul-Mateen Should be cast as T'Challa from another reality.... He's been Black Manta, Mr. Manhattan, and Morpheus. So he knows how to do these properties. Breh can act too

Ehhh.... I just dont know.... dude has height and could probably pull of the swag but again, the voice and action scenes, yeah he played Morpheus, WE still haven't seen what that looked like... .

Between the two I'd pick Yahya..... but honestly it's still a very tough situation (replacing Chadwick)

Not that I agree or disagree.....but the big problem is, replace Chadwick with who?

He set the bar really high......like REALLY high. Chadwick really embodied T'Challa.

And for Marvel that's a fine line to walk with fans.....because some fans can't picture/imagine anyone else in the role.....others would be open to it, but there's no one of note that comes to mind....

You gotta find an early to late 30's actor that can do the physical, establish/ maintain accent AND carry the swagger a character like T'Cahlla deserves. And they have to be brown/ dark skinned.

Who is that mystery man?

Because most actors that come to mind are either too old or were already in the Marvel Universe/ 1st film as someone else.

If they go with an unknown this bruh Y'lan Noel could possibly be the right fit, he was in "The First purge" which I enjoyed more than I thought I would

I said it before and I shall say again they’re gonna have to recast T’Challa. We needed that character badly in cinema rn. That’s what’s so frustrating about it all. It had a great impact on the culture we have the right talent rn right director but no lead character. But some aren’t ready to put away Chadwick’s performance as if it’s in some way forgetting him and his contribution but he was more than just the Black Panther. Every actors time comes where they part ways with a character and a new actor continues the legacy. Not recasting T’Challa is like burying him with Chadwick that’s not right nor fair and does no justice to Chadwick’s performance. Christopher Reeves Superman will alway be brought up in the lineage of actors that played Superman we need a lineage of actors that will be T’Challa.

@Mello Mello I hear you, but, when the MCU introduced the multiverse, particularly the idea of variants, they basically left the door open and basically told us that a version of T'Challa will exist. We saw this in Loki and in What If. As they said in the clip, the 616 T'Challa is gone, but, another T'Challa will make an appearance. Marvel did a similar thing with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Peter Parker died, but another Peter Parker trained Miles.

This is dumb. We need more Black Panther movies and Chapwick may he rest in piece needs to be replaced.

I didn’t watch any of the clips but that sounds too much like them burying TChalla with Chadwick. Why can’t it be the 616 TChalla because Chadwick died. “A version of TChalla will exist”. That’s fucked up. Their making it difficult for the next person to step into the role as if he is an imposter and could never live up to the 616 TChalla. This type of pedal-stoolizing of Chadwick’s Black Panther will ruin the role for anyone. People need TChalla not some variant TChalla from another universe but just TChalla. They're trying to explain it away when they don’t have to.

There's a very good chance I won't see Black Panther in theaters. I will probably bootleg it if at all. Shit, right now the only movie I'm looking forward to Dr.Strange 2 and that's mostly because I find Elizabeth Olsen's portrayal of the Scarlet Witch captivating.
