I'm with this, especially Vice City

A new report claims that a Grand Theft Auto remastered trilogy is on the way for multple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, and it's reportedly due out this Fall.

This news comes by way of Kotaku, which reports that it has learned from sources that Rockstar Games is remastering GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, and that each game will be remastered in Unreal Engine. They will feature a mix of "new and old graphics," the report reads.

According to the report, Rockstar's Scottish branch, Rockstar Dundee, is leading the project and also working with the wider Rockstar company to develop the

Rumors of such a remastered trilogy have been around for years, and they gained even more traction when Rockstar began using DMCA takedowns to remove fan remasters .

One of Kotaku's sources told the publication that they saw footage of the remasters running and that the graphics reminded them of a heavily-modded version of a classic GTA game. The UI is being remastered for each game too, although the classic style and design of each will remain the same. According to Kotaku, these titles are hoping to "stay true to the PS2-era GTA games as much as possible."

Nintendo needs to take a cue from Rockstar in how you remaster older games for modern hardware.

Realistically, nobody expects Rockstar to remake the trilogy from the ground up, that would be expensive as hell, time consuming, and push GTA6 damn near to the 2030s.

But cleaning up the graphics, improving the controls and going 60fps is an impressive and respectful effort.

I can't wait to see how this looks in 4k.

I bet half the music wont be on the soundtracks due to licensing..Michael Jackson songs definitely wont be in VC
Can they do that though? I mean they gave up the licensing already...is there something that says they have to take it out for rereleases? I know that Wanna Be Starting gonna cost them a arm and a leg if they have to do that.

Weren't the tracks for GTA3 made for that game?

I really hope the same tracks make it for Vice City. It's not gonna be the same vibe if I jump into a ride and don't hear Billie Jean bumping

The licensing may no longer apply since this is technically a new release.

They probably just gotta renegotiate the deal.

Besides, it ain't like Rockstar can't afford it. If they could afford it back then, they damn sure could do it now.
