Dems SUCK at messaging. This has been a pet peeve of mine for YEARS. They want to be above dirty politics and mindless slogans and when we do have a slogan that catches on, it's for all the wrong reasons. Like defund the police. Technically that was started by activists but dems tried to use it in support. Even my phone knows it's a bad idea, it tries to auto correct to "defend".
Right now they should be running commercials in every GOP state touting all the infrastructure problems they have that Biden's plan would address so their own citizens would pressure them. Silence. Any good ads are by outside groups or former GOP like the Lincoln Project.
Dems expect our voters to be above certain stuff, and in a way we are. Neither dem voters nor colleagues would have supported someone acting or lying like Trump. The GOP defends their own to the end to protect power, which is why we have so many crazy GOP folks as it is. We live in a reality TV society and dems need to dumb it down for the slow and easily distracted. The dem voters more interested in policy can follow along on CSPAN.
