Hold up! When did this become an $85K vehicle?

2021-GMC-Yukon-Denali-4.jpg

Looked this (GMC Yukon Denali) up and the 2021 version is averaging 80K plus. When did this become a thing? GMCs are costing more than Range Rovers at this point. Am I missing something here? Who's spending damn near 6-figures for an American made GMC?
I thought it was the caddilac Escalade

Yeah I saw a Yukon AT4 on the highway....like man what is THAT?!

shit starts at $65k......but easily gets to over $75K with options......factor in dealer costs and tax.....over $80k easily

I wrote a rant thread about this, at least they provide unions jobs domestically. It is these other companies doing us foul with zero jobs. This would not be a good purchase due to our lack of wealth, this is targeting white consumers.

Damn, that's good shit. Looks like you have a basement door near the garage as well. Are you with ADT or SimpliSafe?

That's the laundry room window, I do have a basement though. I just got my gaming room done with my PC & consoles in it, like a kid in a candy store now. I had Xfinity, now I have Ring.

just so u know a Range starts at $101k that's if u want a V8:yes:

No they don't, You can get a Sport in the 80s. I had a 2017 Sport that I just sold in January & it had a V8 5 liter in it. I paid 87K for it new & it was nicely loaded. The bigger Range costs 6 figures to start & 200K if you get the AB. Those trucks are 4 seaters though & the room isn't there.

Correct, my dealer called me up last month, told me he'd give me 88.5 for mine. I told him no, but I do know two sales where guys sold at profit. One is a YouTuber & another works at my office.

I paid 84 for mine....

I lowered it 3 inches in the rear & 2 3/4 in the front.

Got everything except the sliding console.

I bought a 2002 Yukon brand new, still got it. Orginal everything in it. 214 miles.

I paid 41k for it fully loaded

I got a question.

How you getting on with those low profile tires and big rims.

We (UK) have notoriously bad roads which are blighted with potholes and when they are repaired they are done poorly and the repair may be defunct with 24-36 months with a wait possibly as long before it is badly repaired again.

My first diesel car was a 2.5 V6 TDi AUDI A4 (B6) 2003 Quattro Estate, so it had some weight to her but not lacking in torque, or power.

I was running 19 inch AUDI RS6 rims with Michelin 235/35 ZR19 (91Y) XL Pilot Sport 4.

I did 30,000 miles in 6 months and during that time had 7 irreparable punctures due to the hole being on the wall of the tire.

Then I thought to check the rims for cracks and what I found frightened me.

Both of the rears were fine but the front driver's side had 7 cracks and the passenger side had 6 and was buckled.

I'm guessing that the heavy diesel engine over the front axle and the potholes done in the rims because of the low profiles fitted.

I found a metal worker who repaired rims very well and after inspecting mine told me one was for the bin but 1 he felt he could confidently repair.

So I bought 2 used matching rims from a Facebook group, put the 2 from the rear on the front and was good.

Those Michelins are not cheap. Luckily I found a local used tire dealer who used to charge me £40 per corner for tires with mabe 0.5-1.0mm off of them instead of the £240+ MRSP.

So the cost of those big rims and low profile tires could have cost me in excess of £2000 in 30.000 miles.
I bought the car used with that equipment already on it but the spare wheel was the original from factory 17 inch with a profile of 60%. I'm guessing that what was fitted from factory and if it still had them I would probably had no issues.

Have 3 kids under 5. Been shopping for a 3 row joint (for the car seats) that can actually fit in my garage. Looking at the Lincoln Aviator. That shit is like $85k with the features I want. Tha fuck?!?

So the Denali, High Country & Escalade have magnetic ride control which is great. My tires are 305/30/26 which they're bigger than what you'd normally put on 26-inch wheels. Usually, they put 285 on these trucks. 305 will give you an even bigger sidewall. The ride definitely has changed, but its about the same on the interstate. You just have to know how to drive through the city. I had a 2011 Escalade with 28s on it. Never again.

Your reply tells me that you know about your tires. That is exactly what my tire guy said to me. We looked up the largest tires that I could fit to my rims without having to modify the arches (which was not an option.) I could have gone up to a 245/35. The profile would have been raised 3.5mm (35% of the additional 10mm width). Got rid of the car in the end while it still had some value.

Up until that point I did not realise that the profile measurement (in my case 35% and your 30%) was not a millimeter measurement but the percentage of the width of the tire (which is a millimeter measurement).

Fuck what you heard, this is my dream ride here. For the amount of money being talked about here I rather get this baby here. Nice looking, reliable and will hold its value!.

Yup they all start out like that! Nice truck..was looking at 2016 Escalade in 2016 platinum edition. Going for 100k, They loose value once the new body style comes out. I got a 2014 Escalade easy maintenance never had a major problem with it. My boy got a 07 Tahoe run like a champ!
