Here's the problem with the way the GOP states have opted out...if one part of the govt tells people they have until September to receive $300, but then another part says, nooo we changed our mind and now it's only until June. That BS.

These people are trying to plan out their lives and how they are gonna make ends meet. And according to what they were told, it would be X amount of dollars until September.

To change that because companies cant find people to work... especially since some industries are paying less than they did pre-pandemic is simply another way to gut the middle class.

I think a lot of people want to work....I also think most ppl would if the money was there....

Let's say I normally work and make 2800 a month....got I've got gas, parking...buying lunch during the week.....

If I got UE for 2400 a month.....I could see sitting at home too....that $400 difference while big can be negated....

But I like to work. Been hustling and working since I was 8....I earn my keep....so I couldn't do it personally....hell sitting at home on 1 week of annual leave feels weird as hell, but I'm at the carryover limit so I either use it or it gets taxed to hell on my check.

This pandemic did a lot of things, and one of those things it did, was show people other ways of living life without that job they hated. IMO, THIS is what all of this is about. Employers complaining about people not coming back, because they're unwilling to put up with the bullshit for low pay and minimal benefits. If they want people to go back to work in droves, they're going to have to up the pay and benefits. When this shit started, "unskilled" positions suddenly were deemed "essential", and people in those jobs noticed that shit.
