They keep voting for the Republican family values
Lowkey, Hogan don’t even act like a typical conservative. Mans might be confused lol
If these businesses paid a decent living wage they'd not have problems filling jobs. This post is nor about minimum wage, it’s about paying people unemployment when businesses are unable to fill jobs.
If you think that’s a good idea, I just disagree
Bingo. The plantation bosses are crying that the slaves are not returning to work
You get the gas face. It’s obvious by the responses on here, folks have never ever run a business. Not every employer is a giant greedy corporation stealing money and making billions. Some regular businesses just need employees that charge reasonable rates.
The more we raise the minimum wage, the more that the only companies that could afford to pay that rate are giant multi-billion dollar companies.
I’m not talking FOX News points, just simple business 101
Is The American Work Ethic Dying
Just a quick question- who is rich? McDonalds the corporation? Or the person who owns that McDonalds? This weekend while me and the Family were out everywhere you see is help wanted signs the shit I found fun McDonalds was offering $9.50 while KFC across the street was $11 starting. It's really fun how The House and Senate can all agree on giving themselves raises but it's a problem to bring minimum wage up two damn dollars and these MFs are already rich.
All biz aren’t brick and mortar.. all small biz don’t operate the same way.. some small biz actually pay their employees great... the term small biz has a loose meaning when it comes to paperwork, funding, etc... there were sport franchises that fell under the meaning of “small bizz” due to the fact they had less than 500 employees.. some will use that small bizz guideline to underpay their staff even though their company generated billions.. lot of big companies use the “small bizz” term to cut cornersJust a quick question- who is rich? McDonalds the corporation? Or the person who owns that McDonalds?
Have you ever considered that maybe the person who owns the McDonalds isn’t rich, but is a business owner making a modest living? Have you also wondered that increasing the salary of employees can reduce the profits to such an extent as to make the business less interesting to the owner- for example it may reduce the owners take from $100,000 annually to $40,000.
I know, they should just close down all businesses if they can’t afford to pay $15 an hour right?
That looks like a sound argument until you realize that the only type of corporations that can comfortably afford to do that in certain industries - like farming, food service, etc are large multi-billion conglomerates.
What you are really saying is that the government should tax small independent businesses, because forcing a company to pay more than the market requires is a tax, and help build bigger corporate monopolies.
Be careful what you ask for.

No just no. Free money is a false talking point especially when it comes to employee compensation. Starting salary and health care, as stated in the news report are key. This is the most logical point in this thread.
Let's take it a step further.
The $300 unemployment supplement equates to $7.5 per hour based upon a 40 hour week, which is $15,600 per year. This is in addition to the base unemployment which is $320 on average which is an additional $16,640. This is a total of $32,240.
Currently, a business would have to offer at least $32,240 or $15.50 per hour plus x amount of opportunity cost to get a person to forego "free" money to go work.
For most people, $32K is more than they have every made and more than they would make working 40 hours a week. Because of this, many people are just refusing to go back to work which has lead to a nationwide employee shortage.
Some people get too accustomed to the "free" money and experience an economic hock when the benefits run out.
I 100% believe and support government assistance. However, I do not support any "assistance" that cripples my people and facilitates a dependency that hinders economic independence.
These states are stupid. This is federal money that the recipients are going to use to spend money in their state, which will help businesses in their state and also taxes.
great point, a person with 2 kids will basically make more staying home than at a lot of jobs still...It won’t change anything or force folks back to work like they think.
Remember, the Child Tax Credit kicks in on July 15, 2021.
It will be $300/month for each child under 6 and $250/month for children 6 thru 17.
Majority of poor, working class folks have more than 2 children.
So do the math on how much a large segment of the US population will be getting checks and how much.
States can’t stop those checks because they come straight from the Federal Government unlike UI which flows thru the states.

The tax credit is essentially universal basic income which is why they are panicking. I think it will be a success I just hate that the same poor cacs who despise "socialism" and "progressivism" will also benefit.

This. Its only until September and these dumbasses can t allow the federal govt to give their citizens of their state spending money to help local stores.that's what I'm saying we all remember BB a few years back struggling like hell to stay open, you would think these clowns would let this ride till September to provide extra spending that people can do in retail and electronic but they bitching about that.
I don't understand cac logic here, seems they need desperate-poor since that's how they stay in power, if you not hungry you don't need anything. That's why they love the poor so much, loyal footsoilders till the end.
Florida's unemployment is 275 lol, lower that the average
And our COL is straight through the roof, we'll be cali with half the jobs soon....

I really think there are two kinds of mentalitys: the broke Nukka mentality and the boss. A broke nukka knows that he will never be the boss of anything, so he hates all bosses and anyone the owns anything that he doesn’t. People who think like this would like a 99% tax rate on the rich.
A boss either owns things, or expects to own things in the future, so the last thing that he wants to do is make it market in himself, when he arrives at his goal. People like this recognize the value of wealth, and that government shouldn’t be set up to prevent new wealth creation.
You can tell by the responses in here, who has which mentality.
Have you ever owned a bizz or been self employed ?.. having a mentality and actually doing something is 2 diff things.
