My COVID-19 story... I tested positive.

After taking much precautions over the past year I ended up testing positive for covid. For a whole year I didn’t do much at all and obeyed everything the CDC recommended.

Well, the last month or so I became very lax and was doing everything from going to the dentist to the doctor to eating out (socially distanced, of course). I received my first vaccine on March 26th (Pfizer). That’s when I kind of let my hair down. I noticed that I lost my sense of taste/smell, but I had gone to the dentist and got some work done and I ended up having a cut in my mouth. I thought well maybe that is affecting my sense of taste. That was around April 12th. I got my second vaccine on April 18th and I noticed that I was very fatigued and sick a little. I just thought it was from the 2nd dose of the vaccine.

I told my little sister about my loss of taste/smell and she yelled at me and told me to go get tested. I went to go get tested right after I finished talking with her to put everyone’s mind at ease.

My test came back positive. I didn’t have any symptoms besides the loss of taste/smell. I was like...huh...how...wow! I believe I ended up getting the virus between my first and second dose of the vaccine.

Tomorrow I come out of quarantine and I didn’t develop any other symptoms. God is good. I have mild asthma and I didn’t get shortness of breath or anything. God is good. I guess the first vaccine lessen the blow from covid. Did I say, God is good. I am thankful that my folks didn’t catch it. I am around them a lot. They also got their 2nd dose of the vaccine and it’s been two weeks since they got it so they’re fully vaccinated come tomorrow. I am so grateful for life, man. God is good.

One other thing. I bought the new Apple Watch even though I had a Series 3 because the new one has an ekg and a blood oxygen meter on it. That O2 meter really put my mind at ease and gave me biofeedback when I had anxiety about my situation. I would recommend everyone get a blood O2 meter. It can help through times like these. God is good.

Oh, and I received an monoclonal infusion via an IV (I know what it sounds like, but no. Lol). That might of helped too. I got it the day after my positive test. It’s for people that get tested positive that have mild to moderate symptoms without oxygen intervention. It’s stops the virus from advancing. God is good. Blessed.

I'm glad to hear that you weren't debilitated by the virus and are pulling through. That is excellent news Bruh.
Thanks for sharing that with us. Here's to a full recovery, especially having asthma Bruh.

Thanks, man. I didn’t get asthma until I was 30. My asthma is mild and I don’t really have problems unless it’s humid and the pollen count is high. But still. Thanks again for the kind words.

Thank God you alright man. Got the Pfizer shot through my job months ago. I ain't fuckin around. Got kids I need to protect. It's bigger than myself

Glad you got the vaccine right before it hit. It got your body ready for it.
Man, let me tell you. This one chick I talk too was saying she ain’t getting vaccinated anytime soon. This was right before I got Covid-19. I knew that once it became available for me that I would get vaccinated. I even put my name on the list before it was time for my group to get vaccinated. By the time they announced my group could get vaccinated I had already had my first dose. I can’t even imagine if I would’ve listened to the naysayers. That was never an option though because I don’t play. I get a flu shot every year and I even have my pneumonia vaccine that last for 5 years. I last got that in 2018.

God is good cuz you think he let you live, but let 3mil die? :hmm:
You lived cuz you tested positive from the vaccine. You was aiight.

.
If your body develops an immune response to vaccination, which is the goal, you may test positive on some antibody tests. Antibody tests indicate you had a previous infection and that you may have some level of protection against the virus.
