My COVID-19 story... I tested positive.

Well, the last month or so I became very lax and was doing everything from going to the dentist to the doctor to eating out (socially distanced, of course). I received my first vaccine on March 26th (Pfizer). That’s when I kind of let my hair down. I noticed that I lost my sense of taste/smell, but I had gone to the dentist and got some work done and I ended up having a cut in my mouth. I thought well maybe that is affecting my sense of taste. That was around April 12th. I got my second vaccine on April 18th and I noticed that I was very fatigued and sick a little. I just thought it was from the 2nd dose of the vaccine.

I told my little sister about my loss of taste/smell and she yelled at me and told me to go get tested. I went to go get tested right after I finished talking with her to put everyone’s mind at ease.

My test came back positive. I didn’t have any symptoms besides the loss of taste/smell. I was like...huh...how...wow! I believe I ended up getting the virus between my first and second dose of the vaccine.

Tomorrow I come out of quarantine and I didn’t develop any other symptoms. God is good. I have mild asthma and I didn’t get shortness of breath or anything. God is good. I guess the first vaccine lessen the blow from covid. Did I say, God is good. I am thankful that my folks didn’t catch it. I am around them a lot. They also got their 2nd dose of the vaccine and it’s been two weeks since they got it so they’re fully vaccinated come tomorrow. I am so grateful for life, man. God is good.

One other thing. I bought the new Apple Watch even though I had a Series 3 because the new one has an ekg and a blood oxygen meter on it. That O2 meter really put my mind at ease and gave me biofeedback when I had anxiety about my situation. I would recommend everyone get a blood O2 meter. It can help through times like these. God is good.

Oh, and I received an monoclonal infusion via an IV (I know what it sounds like, but no. Lol). That might of helped too. I got it the day after my positive test. It’s for people that get tested positive that have mild to moderate symptoms without oxygen intervention. It’s stops the virus from advancing. God is good. Blessed.

If your body develops an immune response to vaccination, which is the goal, you may test positive on some antibody tests. Antibody tests indicate you had a previous infection and that you may have some level of protection against the virus.

The vaccine doesn’t have the virus in it. I don’t believe.

If you'd read the article, you'd know a COVID-19 test checks for antibodies your body creates against the virus. The test doesn't check for the virus itself.

not all covid 19 tests are the same. Antibody tests test for antibodies whether they are generated via the vaccine or covid infection.
Pcr tests for covid 19 test for the virus itself. Taking the vaccine won’t make one test positive for covid 19 virus itself.
