Columbus Ohio Bruhs...Im Seeing the Cops Just Murdered a 15 Year Old Girl Calling Them For Help....4.20

Fuck that!!! They have micro seconds to make decisions dealing with whites as well. Whats the difference? Why they live and we die?

You're right BUT, If that was YOUR daughter being chased with a knife and about to be stabbed
and the cop didn't do anything lethal to stop her and she stabs your daughter to death.
You would say 'Well why didn't you shoot her"
I'm I correct?

This situation is so fucked up, I honestly didn't even want to speak on it.

There seemed to be failures all over the place.

Adults were seemingly present and let this shit escalate to where it went....

Homegirl called the police, but instead of staying in, she's outside fighting them, knife in hand in front of the arriving cops.

Cops show up, sees a crowd and fight happening, sees homegirl with a knife in hand looking to stab girl in pink.

Cop, instead of using a taser, shoots the knife wielding girl, not knowing she was the caller.

I really wish Ma'Kiyah Bryant stayed inside and waited for the police to show up.

I really wish she didn't grab a knife and try to fight her way out of whatever situation she was in, especially if she was at home when she called the police.

I really wish the officer used a taser or pepper spray....

But honestly, if my daughter was the girl in pink, I'd be praising the officer for saving her life.

I really believe this was a perfect example of many unfortunate events culminating into a tragedy.

Just a really overall fucked up situation that didn't need to happen.

Why do people keep saying if the cop didn't do anything?
Nobody has said that.
Everyone is saying taser , pepper spray, tackling her, baton etc
There are non lethal options

This is 100% on the adults. Like you said, the parents not only didn't deescalate the situation but they allowed her to go out there with a fucking knife in front of the police. In every interaction I have with the police, I assume that they are looking for an excuse to use some sort of force against me so I do my best to avoid that situation. Teenagers aren't capable of understanding the gravity of situations but adults damn sure are. :smh:

It's like some of you are discounting the lives of the other BLACK people just fucking standing there!

Yup. Responsibility always seems to solely lie with police, and not with full grown adults.

And some of these same people will tell you that we should police ourselves :smh:

A Taser? Hahaha, With someone CHASING 2 people with a knife?
Come on now. If I'm in the house with my family and there's a maniac
in the house with a knife you think I'd want the cops using a TASER to stop him?
Would you? Please answer that

Considering how close ol girl was from stabbing the other girl, which were split seconds; one thing we know for certain, and that’s the bullets stopped the stabbing. Do you think the other options would have prevented the stabbing in that short amount of time?

If it was my daughter with the knife I certainly would.
I don't really wanna see any kid die for one bad decision

So we're jumping to maniac with a knife.
Interesting

I reflect on how far apart my thinking is from white people on many of these situations and I know we are too far gone to every come back...and I really don't give a fuck, but when I see how far apart we black folk are....that saddens me.

Pepper spray and tasers are by definition non-lethal force. 15 is using lethal force and is literally in the process of actually stabbing. Not walking with a knife. Not talking shit. But her arm already went back and all that is left to do is for her to thrust it forward, which is clearly her intention.....and niccas talking about pepper spray her first and see if that works....lawd help us.

Let's take a step back here.
He just got to the scene. He had NO IDEA how old that girl was.
All he saw was a person chasing 2 people with a LETHAL WEAPON
Why would he use a NON-LETHAL method in a lethal situation?
She could've killed the girl if she connected.
You guys just aren't making sense here.

I'm hearing pepper spray, taser.....cats are ridiculous on here
I just saw her Aunt on TV talking about she was a "Good Girl" and "Loved"
I get these are polarizing times but COME ON NOW. She was about to stabbed somebody. INCHES from stabbing her.
#CleanKill

Unfortunately all they’re seeing is Black and white or Black and police.

They don’t see the situation or anything going in n in it. Just Black and white, or Black and police.

Yes it’s fuck the police, but at some point we still have to think and be able to judge a situation for what it is and what actually happened.

And many can’t do that.

It pains folks to see a black teen get shot by the cops. I get it. The optics are fucked up all over the place.

It’s easier to see the black and white instead of the gray area. You can chose a side when it’s black and white. When it’s gray, it leaves people searching for something to hold on to.

Kats are emotional like some dudes in this thread. Shorty was trying to murder a Sista. Is one life more important than another.
It's an all around messed up situation.

Sadly, although folks want to be quick to jump to the defence of every Black person killed by police, some times it really is best to take that wait and see approach.

I typically hate the whole "let the facts play out" line but in this case, as seen in the video, it played out as it should have, sadly.

Again, this never should have escalated to the point where homegirl had a knife in hand let alone her getting shot by the police.

The timing of all this is too much. With all these police shootings going on.

I wish the timing was there to better deescalate this situation. But I can’t say that officers actions were all wrong in that moment from what we seen on video.

Young girl made a fucked up decision that ended her life tragically.

Bruh, if they live, then so be it; but there are times in life where we have to choose. If it was my son or daughter, do you really think I am going to try and do some trick shot shit so the person trying to stab my child to death lives.....ya'll can call me a coon, nicca, fool or whatever the fuck you want....but I know what a knife wound can do because I have seen folk dead from stabbing.

What do I want you to do? Make sure that I LIVE and put the violent criminal second.
Couple of inches and he would of failed making you live cause he would of hit you to.. that shit was wild reckless
