Yep same when I speak to my friends who are cops or military. Head shots are Hollywood cool but center mass is always the recommended target area. And hitting the same spot multiple times is in essence the same as hitting it once. Multiple shots in various areas within the center mass are more effective.

What I seen in the video is that young girl had a knife and was about to stab the other girl, I'm not sure what the cop is supposed to do at that point. Should he just let her stab the girl in the pink or should he have tried to wrestle the knife out of the girl's hand? Bout time he reached her, girl in the pink would have been stabbed. Like I said in another thread, no way I could be a cop.

That devil had his gun out soon as he pulled up ready to shoot like he was entering a war zone. If you see two teenage girls fighting & even if one has a knife, you're 1st instinct shouldn't be to bust shots at them. Also, the other cops were there just watching like they didn't want to get involved. All of them should have immediately pulled the girls off each other, pepper sprayed if needed to diffuse the situation.
Like someone already said, if this was some white kids, the cops would have handled it properly so miss me with that they need proper training shit.

I agree with the second bullet point. If adults are there and they aren't trying to get those kids to work out the problem, they're THE problem.

Kind of matters cause this would be chain reaction... pink and crew jumped girl.. girl gets fed up and grabs weapon.. grabs weapon tries to stab and than gets shot... when doing the review if pink and crew don’t start it we wouldn’t have this end result.. snowball into avalanche effect... if this ends up being the case I’m pretty sure ya won’t paint pink as some innocent girl with a puppy

Everything you’re saying is correct, but it doesn’t matter when the cop pulls up and sees someone about to get stabbed.
Whether the person’s in the right or wrong, cops aren’t going to sit back and watch you stab or shoot the person that did you wrong.
You and I know that’s not the way that it works.
First, I wouldn't allow my child to go outside if there was a group of kids attempting to jump my child. Second, I wouldn't allow my child to go outside with a butcher knife. Third, I would never kick a child in the head who was already on the ground.

The problem is that you’re imagining yourself as a participant in that fight, we’re not. We’re looking at a video and judging it simply off of that.
Take emotion and feeling out of the equation, look at the video and judge it off of that.
Of course we’d be mad if that was our child and she was defending herself.
Maybe I'm not familiar with what's going on but in the body cam footage the girl that was shot didn't look to be in danger at that time. Probably unfair to say that without seeing what happened before the footage that was released.

Tasers are not 100% effective. There are countless videos of them not working!!!! That was this cop's only option!!!

I think this is a sad but teachable moment for both adults as well as kids. The line between self-defense and becoming the aggressor is very fine and it's easy to cross when emotions are high enough. We've seen more than enough times where ppl went far and beyond cuz they were angry or upset only to have to deal with legal ramifications afterwards. Ultimately deescalation is easy to preach but difficult to do for yourself in the heat of the moment.
I feel what you're saying....its a good point. If the cop saw his daughter in this girl with the knife....chances are she probably wouldn't even be shot or dead right now. Good point.
But I'm sort of torn here because there was a lot of ignorant shit going on......they technically put that cac in position to have to kill her in order to save that other girl. IMO, her parents failed her here. He took her life but the parents failed her. If she's getting jumped by some females stay in the house. If she called 9-1-1 stay in the house until the police show up. It was just handled poorly by everyone.

How many times had she stabbed the girl? They have a text book case at a text book time. He squeezed off those rounds mighty fast. No warning shot. I will admit the situation was wild and out of control when the police pulled up. But the text book come in that something this strange happen at a perfect time like now. It was like a text book show for them. They had to been in a hurry to get that out to the public.

just read through all 10 pages and people made comments before the video was released and then after seeing the video wanted to stock with their initial comments so they changed it to “if she was white”. They started looking for every excuse after the video came, talking about shooting in the leg, warning shots, couldve used taser, should’ve found out what was really going on even though a girl was a couple seconds from being stabbed

I am trying to find out more about what happened. Seems like she floored the other girl with the knife in her hand and did not try to stab her. Seems like the officer would have been trying to stop her when she had put the other girl on the ground. The main thing is that this case is not like the others we have witnessed cold blooded killings. But she was a minor and not sure of the whole incident. They said she was the one that called the police because of some girls jumping or trying to jump her.
