Bruh she was in the act of stabbing someone. This wasn't a girl just standing around with a knife in her hand.

Na she was in immediate danger. She would have certainly been stabbed if he didn't intervene immediately. He was sure of himself and took a good shot.
We have to understand that every police shooting isn't a bad shooting.
If he hadn't intervened, she would have killed that other girl, then it would gave been the other mother upset that not enough was done.
Lastly, I'm getting to my limit of "protesting" and "defending" my people who are doing ignorant ish. No, none if them deserve to die, but when we can blatantly ignore the innocent black folk that are killed and fully support those committing crimes, we have some serious self-evaluation to do.

This is a tough one. Even if the girl began as trying to defend herself, the moment she left her yard chasing after them she became the aggressor. And it's easy to say why not use your taser but adrenaline is unpredictable and has been shown when high enough can overcome a taser at times. Also, deadly force is authorized when imminent life threatening danger is present.
That girl was moments away from stabbing the other girl & unfortunately you're taking a huge risk in trying to neutralize a threat like that in that small window with a taser. The cop shooting also took a huge risk firing with others being in such close proximity. I do think the multiple shots in close quarters was overkill

Some of y'all saying the cop could've gone for a different area instead of center mass but ask yourselves how much do you trust a cop, or anyone for that matter, to make a shot that requires increased accuracy on a moving target in that kind of situation. There were nothing but losses across the board here.

This is the point. They will justify the shooting because of the knife. But why do people of color ALWAYS get shot by police in these situations? Its not a coincidence.
I honestly don't know if that would've been the case under those circumstances. If the window for action was a little larger then yes definitely. But in this case I'm having a difficult time finding where lethal force wasn't a valid option. It's easier for us to say what should've been done in retrospect cuz we weren't involved in that tense moment. This just suck all around

Dude has a taser, a baton, and pepper spray... he clearly could’ve hopped out the car with either of those in hand or a couple of them but he immediately grab the gun.. I’ve been around many altercations where they grab the other 3 especially when white people were involved.. a group white fight gets the 3 other tool equipment.. but a bunch of black girls and this dude pulled out a gun... than dude let’s off 4 shots in which case he could’ve hit the other girl to.. notice she ran which is what probably saved her life.. that shit was mad reckless how he left off

I’ve seen cops pull up on many occasions when it look like it’s about to be a fight and u’ll see them in the whip shaking their spray cause they about to use it.. ill be like fall back nigs they shaking the mace.. few times when saying that dudes understood that and calmed down cause they know them boys bout to hop out and spray, than the batons coming out ... in fights that’s how they usually hop out of whips.. even in this case they had tasers ... so pepper spray, baton, taser was supposed to come out, especially in a girl fight.. this nig pulled out the gun smh.. now let this been a white area or white college campus I can guarantee that gun would of never been drawn period

They released the entire body cam footage. From the time he was pulling up, got out the car, yelled stop, and fired 4 shots.
The crazy thing is, if this girl would have killed the other girl, there would be no news, no protest, nothing. Just another day in the lives of black folk.

According to BGOL, the police should let these little girls fight to the death and sort things out after it has been determined if anyone had mental health issues, who started it, who brought the knife, why the fight started. They should also leave their guns in the department office and only use tasers and batons.

Say dude over compensated for recoil (panicked or whatever) and 2 shots hit the victim and the next 2 hit her intended target, now there's 2 shot and killed girls.....
There was no need for 4 shots and there were so many ppl around her.
