THE CANNABIS THREAD 101!!

no prob. unfortunately, math is like chinese to me, so i dont know. i do know that every light is different, example, LED is different from a metal halide etc. i grow using LED's so i am going to leave you with a link for my LED lights. i hope this helps. sorry if it doesnt.

my bad I asked that wrong. Per sq foot? Everyone’s light is different sizes. How many oz or pounds per sq foot?

Over the last 12 months I have been doing my homework on LEDs and I do remember that Black Dog got good reviews. They just get a bit expensive by the time they are shipped to the UK compared to products sourced locally.

I have a California Lightworks in my veg tent. It's nice too. Has a UVB light. Cheaper than the Black Dog.

@4th I thought I read somewhere that you were using a 4x4? But I cannot find that know to quote but if you were the calculations would be.

Total sq feet: 4 x 4 = 16 sq ft

Total grams (e.g.100 grams)

so 100 grams divided by 16 sq ft is 100/16 = 6.25 grams per sq foot

28 grams in an ounce so just a bit shy of a 1/4 oz theoretically

if you change the 16sq ft for the actual sq ft you have and the 100 for the total dry weight you have and follow the formula you will have "g/sq ft" grams per square foot.

You are using UB in veg? Do you use the UV for the entire period that the light is on or does it have aseperate timer? The reason I ask is in all the research I have done they usually recommend not using the UV for more than 4 hours per 12 hour (flower) cycle. whether that is 4 hours continuously, 4 x1 hour bursts, 8x 30 minute bursts or 16 x 15 minute bursts does not matter but you are also supposed to build up to that.

I have read that UV is best used during the flowering cycle because it stimulates a protein the makes the plants develop more resin. I will get back to you and post the artcle. But you maybe better off using thst light in your flowering tent?

chinese man. chinese, lol.
i'm running two 3x3's at the time being, flower and veg. and a tent for drying.

no, and you are correct. i used to use the uvb one for flowering but i decided to push my watts and switched to a 600.
my light with the uvb is 400, and i use it for veg. so i dont even use the uvb option anymore. still, a very nice light for those in the market.

OK

9 square feet total flower space.

How many dried grams did you get?

Divide that number by 9...

Fuck it how many grams did you get dry 4th???

it all depends on how many plants and what type of plant, indica or sativa. i would say i average 4 ounces of high quality herb per plant. sativas can reach 6-8oz. some indicas might barely get you 3oz, but the bud is still fire.
how many plants can i fit in a 3x3 is entirely different question, however, legally, i can only flower 3 plants at a time...

also, i use 3 gallon pots. you could flower 6 plants in a 3x3 and that would fill that bitch. keyword is flower. you could veg more than that in a 3x3 and with smaller pots.

I was going to say lets keep it simple and say how many grams did you get from the last grow?

But I am feeling that you do not load your tent up with plants all at the same stage and run them through to completion but that you take plants from veg when you feel that they are ready and add them to the flower tent so you have plants at different stages in your flowering tent, where as I cut my clones, veg them and then put them in the flowering tent so they are all at the same stage at the same time and because you have an independant drying tent you can add and remove plants as needed.

I can see why that question did not have a simple answer now, Sorry.

Yes you are on the ball with that. You can have 10 plants per square foot in veg but must allow at least 1 square foot per plant flower.

@fourthstbully I really like the look of that Poison Mimosa. How much longer you planning on letting it run for? End of week 10??

Are the top of the leaves green and the undersides purple or are the leaves that are purple totally purple? Have you grown that strain before and if so did you get a similar looking result that time as you have this time?

i'm going to let it go 1-2 more weeks. yes, the undersides are purple and there is purple in the buds too. pretty plant. never grown before, but it is an F1 strain and i have seen a bunch of different phenotypes, all pretty plants, but all look different. the breeder is microbe.alchemist on IG.

Yeah I thought that was how the leaves were but i needed to check that I was seeing it correctly. Yes very pretty.

This another one, now this clone took longer to grow

I didn’t take pics of the roots when they were clones

This is what I saw, the plant I posted first, those clones pushed out roots fast af
The roots jus shot out the stem

This plant the stem grew some bumpy shit and then the roots came out, it looked like when trees get those bumps,
These clones stayed bushy

I’m finna do my first DWC on an Auto. Fastbuds blackberry. I’m not a fan of indica, but I wanna grow a purple strain.
I read people change out the water, man I just mix a gallon and add it

I’ll set up the auto water system when I switch to liquid nutrients, I don’t like how the powder leaves reside

A green one:dunno: , I know, sorry.

Honestly I don't have much knowledge on the actual genetics of the plants. Without leafly.com and those sort of sites I am lost. I have never payed that much attention to the strains. For some reason it does not interest me. All these names:dunno: As long as it grows good roots and better trichomes that is about all i am interested in.

Maybe one of the others boys is up on their strains.

Where did you get it?

Did you get given a cutting/clone or did you start it from seed?

The plant looks good in the photo labelled "WEEK 7" the scrog net is in place and it fills it nicely.

@madgoose what kind of plant I got

I’m thinkin hybrid

It’s all good man jus askin, I’m doin the same, lookin online

So this is how it went down

My bro started everythin with seeds, we got a good grow then my dumbass step bro cut the the fan leaves before we moved it to 12h

Plants began to look weak, before he cut the leaves I got some clones

I got those plants to grow, then I got hit with spider mites

Most of my clones died, two of three mothers died

This is what I have left, and a few more outside, those will just grow however lol

The outside ones look like the first one I posted(week 7) but smaller
