Tariq Nasheed's Buck Breaking: Official Film Trailer.

Tariq is an amazing business man.
Get your followers to raise money for the film.
Charge them to see it in theaters.
Charge them AGAIN for the DVD.
:lol::lol:

The big entertainment companies do the exact same thing. Only Tariq raises the money outright. The film studios just use movie revenue to account for future film budgets. Tariq not doing anything the film studios don't do.

None of those who are against this film has said anything of substance regarding why this film and films like this should not be made. It seems as though some dudes on this board are mad because they didn't think of it first. People borrow money for films. People solicit donations to fully finance projects. People make a profit while doing "good deeds" or providing a necessary product. People actually pay for water. Water??!! There are more complaints from people who have not or will not buy his product than from those who actually purchase his work.
:dunno:
Man, your whole perspective on this is way in the left field of your opinion in a land of incomplete and mismatched comparisons, exaggeration and conjecture.
You're starting to sound like Umar. According to him, nobody can comment on or ask questions about his alleged fundraising for a school unless they are donors. lol

I'll be waiting for the bootleg on this one. Corey Holcumb, Lord Jamar are psychologists who know about the DSM and what makes Rizza Islam the expert on anything? Tariq Nasheed is making a documentary on buck breaking with that fucking gay ass hairstyle. Is a documentary needed on the subject...yes I'm just not sure a lip smacking dude with baby hair is the one to do it. I know actual PhD's and question them I'm certainly going to question these dudes. This is one that Umar Johnson would be qualified to do he knows the history of this type of material, he quotes the DSM on the issue and he doesn't have baby hair... IJS!!!

Uh you can say what you want, Lord Jamal said some very very PROFOUND shit...

about how the god race are looked at for cues by all other races whether they know it or not..

and they know.. if they can get the God race especially the males to accept it, the world will follow..

and what Corey said, was the truth times a thousand.. A straight normal male from the god race..aka Moorish asiatics diaspora.

are the most ostracized from this abnormal faggy global system of wight inferiority...

lots a jewels were dropped in that small clip..

and I was surprised both Lord Jamal and Corey kicked nothing but hardcore facts..

Why you ignored what they said tho? that is what is of importance..

If they were talkin gibberish assinine shit then yea but they did just the opposite....

I dont have a problem with that, he is putting out information, too many of

us need to hear... too many dudes are doin fag shit thinkin its acceptable.

these seeds need to be planted. its actually a counter attack

on all the faggotry..

somethings need support.... Id rather support this, then support

some faggot wanting to read my two dads to nursery school children...

as if there is nothing else they could be learnin at that age..

My point is simple, no one has shared anything that Mr. Nasheed is doing that is out of the relm of many other producers. He solicits donations from people who want to see the project come to fruition. What's the problem?

You have the right to "complain" or not agree with him. But, opinions are just that.

Haters gonna hate bro
Most of the detractors in here are most likely buck broken themeselves tbh

my problem with the film is that which is qualifying as scholarship/knowledge. Rizza, Wesley, Tariq, Corey, Jamar are all intellectual lightweights who can't have real conversations in circles outside of youtube battles with other hotepian intellectual lightweights like Pharoah, Umar, Seti and them. And neither of them should be listened to on matters of any kind of import. I do not know most of the other folks shown in the clip, i may know their names but not their faces - but i question anyone's credibility who would be in a "documentary" with the aforementioned lineup. Off the top of my head I can name 5 actual scholars from various disciplines and various perspectives that could replace those 5 and provide an actual productive discussion that has an objective that goes beyond "they tryin to make us GAY!".

That's my problem.

This is a subject people like Umar Johnson should have been consulted, the research from Dr. Frances Cress Welsing. Dr. T Hasan Johnson. It's nothing Corey Holcumb or Lord Jamar can tell me about the subject I might as well go talk to the drunk on the corner.

I pointed out to you exactly how your comparing what he did to how Malcolm X was financed was apples and oranges.

Yes opinions are just that...opinions. Your own opinions fall into that category too.

You came into this thread attempting to set a narrative that labeled anyone as coons and LGBTQ who were not into the film for whatever reasons that YOU deemed acceptable. Ironic, seeing as the foundation of the movie is about white males raping Black male slaves- a practice that is categorically gay, violently so in fact.

Also, the coon labeling is ironic considering that Tariq is a polarizing figure who in spite of all Republican efforts to suppress our vote has advised Black folks against voting, is anti-Pan Africanist, anti everyone not Black American, anti-BLM and has many times lied outright about them and misrepresented the movement. He faithfully follows the "divide and conquer" chapter of the white Republican playbook to the letter.

There's a lot of legitimate reasons people who do or don't fuck with Tariq wouldn't be interested in seeing this movie. But you're not the ultimate authority on what constitutes legitimacy.

Nobody's trying to stop you from seeing this thing or expressing why. I wonder if going forward you are capable of giving the same respect to opposing viewpoints?

Actually, you are assuming that he is not using any of his own money. You have no proof of this.

Also, regarding the"coon" jab. It was clearly in jest. I never said that everyone who disapproves of this film is a coon. I was very deliberate and mindful of my words. What said was:

"They will decree that Tariq is a fraud and is all about money. They will also claim that all of this is common knowledge and all you have to do is just pick up a book. The Coon Patrol is notorious for trying to call other folks who disagree with their LGBTQ rhetoric homophobic or coons. When in fact they are the coons."

This is very specific.

Lol!! Not mine. I'm not a follower of his. But, I do appreciate his films.

My main disagreement is that I do not think its bad to solicit funds for a project. I work with startups that do not have a dime to their name. Using other people's money is the best way to conduct business. Whether it's 10%, 50%, or 100%. It's still soliciting funds.

A lot of CACs on BGOL.

I’m not seeing much criticism about the actual Trailer or the subject matter. The criticism is about Tariq’s pockets, the participants, and Tariq’s History. The subject matter of this film is both unique and important. It is also very politically risky so the participants are all people who are comfortable taking risks.

CACs would be in line with the everyday divide and conquer shit Tariq has promoted over the last few years. Shitting on the Black Lives Matter Movement while not getting his own hands dirty in any way to alleviate the problem of police violence against Black folks- or any issues plaguing our community for that matter, advising Black people not to vote in spite of an organized agenda to deny us our votes. And it goes on and on.

Yes. WHO Tariq is plays into it. In addition to what I already mentioned, he has tended towards anti-intellectualism. He has not provided receipts for his wildest claims and does not promote analytical research.

Yes, the subject matter of this film is unique and perhaps important. I agree with you. There's also scholarly information on the subject that is readily available starting with a simple google search.

In our culture we need men and women who research for themselves, don't fall prey to confirmation bias, who read, who share reading lists. We don't need to be raising up a culture of followers who listen to spoken opinion sans receipts and take it as law.

In all likelihood, Tariq does not have the credibility to get any better than the "experts" in his films. A rapper, a comedian, internet talking heads? Really? This, and his habit of making enemies and burning bridges and shitting on Black people smarter and more successful than himself contribute to his not being able to do better in terms of finding participants. It's not about people not wanting to take risks. It's because folks with credibility don't want to fuck with him.

If people say they want to see his films, I don't take issue with that. I hope they enjoy it and find something useful in the experience. I'd never tell someone not to check out his films. Different perspectives are good nourishment to the discourse. I would hope that they would supplement whatever they see in his films with their own analysis and research as well.

But for those who are so sensitive they can't take someone saying something about Tariq and someone not wanting to fuck with him or his product? I'm sure Tariq doesn't need virtual bodyguards.

The subject matter is not unique - it gets talked about ad nauseam all over the place - including BGOL. It's so un-unique that non- scholar, non-intellectual personalities are so known for talking about it in the community that their inclusion as pundits worthy of being listened to on this so-called "important" topic is seen as totally ok. It's not unique. It's certainly not being treated as if it is important by the producer and his fans.

oh-really-now.gif

Oh really?? Please share some of the numerous posts and threads on BGOL that discusses this. Additionally, please show me any documentaries, movies, etc that discuss this matter.
As was I. I directly referenced your quote. What proof do you have that Tariq used any of his own money?
I do not. This is exactly why I never brought up that point. You did, which you now concede is a false and invalid argument. At the end of the day, we disagree. I think it is OK to 100% crowdsource projects, you don't.
He's a con man period... And if u call him out your a agent Lol
Not sure if he is a con man or not. Calling him out definitely doesn't make you an agent. But, denying the relevance of the content and the impact of the material is disingenuous.

No, you brought up that point. I responded to your answer to Mr. Met when he asked you how Spike Lee gets money for his films. You gave an answer regarding Malcolm X, one movie out of the dozens of movies Spike's made. It was an answer that supported the narrative you already had been drawing up in defense of how Tariq finances his films. Had that not been the case, then you'd have not cherrypicked Malcolm X and you would have mentioned that in addition to the financial assistance Spike sought from prominent people, his film was primarily financed by the studio and secondarily out of his own pockets. Instead, I pointed it out.

So...I now "concede that (this) is a false and invalid argument"? No. You are conceding the argument that you were making is false and invalid. I said your comparison was apples and oranges several posts back.
You highlighted everything but the most supporting evidence,

"Their contributions were made as donations; as Lee noted: "This is not a loan. They are not investing in the film. These are black folks with some money who came to the rescue of the movie."

I'm not sure why soliciting donations for a film is different for Mr. Nasheed and considered nefarious and not for other producers.

They crowdfunded the Veronica Mars movie and the producers were applauded and called innovative. I wonder what's different.
In my response to that post I said:
That write-up showed that your comparison between what Spike did with Malcolm X and what Tariq has been doing with every documentary he made is apples and oranges. The studio financed the bulk of Malcolm. Before Spike reached out to the millionaire prominent Black folks who donated, he gave 2/3rds of his own salary towards the completion of the film.
I never said it wasn't ok to crowdsource projects. That's your straw man argument.

Uh you can say what you want, Lord Jamal said some very very PROFOUND shit...

about how the god race are looked at for cues by all other races whether they know it or not..

Will you cut it with all this god race talk, there is no such thing as a god race. We were all made equal by the creator. No person of any color is more superior than any other person.

Then how come only one the god race has eumelanin which is literally one of the million

things it can do is turn the cosmic sunlight into food... No other race can do this like

the god race can.

This is a solar planet and who is more in tune with the Sun than the God race.

you dont have to respond I know the answer all ready....

THere is only ONE race THE GOD RACE, THE ANCIENT ONES

everybody else is a deleted mutation of the GOD RACE!!

get over it!!

Having melanin does not make you superior, we are all apart of the human race. Having melanin does not prevent you from catching diseases and saving you from dying same way a person without melanin.

everybody has MELonin but only the GOD race has EUmelanin...

sure we can catch diseases and die before our time like everyone else,

thats when you dont know who you are, and do not learn the universal laws,

so you can ascend properly..

this is all a classroom and eventually we are all goin to the same place its just

The godrace are set to graduate millenias before everyone else...

Thats if we follow universal laws..

but eventually we are all getting there..

i'm more interested in the message than i am the man
ppl wrap themselves up in tariq being a pimp that they ignore what he says-and what he says in the trailer is legit

same thing with TBA and prof black truth- "don't trust them because you cant see their faces"

who cares about how they look if the message they putting out is legit

Again, I don't believe in what you call a gods race. Our creator created everyone differently, no one was created to be better than the next person. You need to stop following universal laws cause it's just a bunch of lies.

Hey facts..

The sun Feeds its favorite and burns those it hates....

why does the sun burn some people and feed others if everyone is created equal,

remember this is a solar planet so what is that tellin you?

This is the same non sense I get from folks when discussing this. I always tell people to look at reality. The sun feeds us all, it does not like one race over the other. It protects us all. Black people can get burned by the sun too and should wear sun screen when it's needed.
