WandaVision | Official Thread | Marvel / Disney+

The fat asian chick at the talent show mentioned mutants. When Wanda had to cover up Vision passing the hat through him by making it look like a mirror trick, Misohorny said to some Becky,"Is that how mutants do it?" I had to rewind that shit twice because I thougt she said movies. I am still not %100 certain she didn't say movies. Would have to seeit again with the captions on.

Does Wanda really have no friends or support left in the superhero community? I thought Hawkeye kinda considered her like a little sister or cousin. General Okoye seemed to like her also.

Man hawkeye in his house with his family thats been dusted for 5 years, he aint thinking about wanda.

Just curious but wanda never did any reality warping in any of the movies like she has in this show right? Just mind manipulation and telekinesis?

Not convinced she's doing this, someone is watching her, and the events in this world.

Yeah, sword is watching her. But i think shes doing it. Im basing this off her comic book history and i know this is the mcu and not comic books and it could be someone else doing it and not her. But from the show it seems like its her especially since it seemed like she didnt like the beekeeper dude was there and was like "no!" And the world rewound. Seems like shes happy and comfortable there with the dead vision. Plus i dont recall her having reality warping abilities in the mcu before this show.

How did it work in the comics? If she altered reality, how was Sword able to avoid her influence?

1.
Well she has mental issues and is a reality warper so she altered reality and made a world of mutant supremacy with different characters in different positions and such. So then the avengers and x men came together to stop her cause the xmen hated the idea of a world where their people are on top. So eventually she changed reality back to normal except she then said "no more mutants" and took %95 of all mutants powers away. Then she died

2. You saw the wandavision trailer right? Seems like they're in a town thats in a bubble where all this is happening. Sword mightve just heard about it and came to investigate.

I was entertained

same here
as an 80s baby I remember watching sitcoms like Bewitched, Leave to Beaver, Brady Bunch, I Dream of Jeanie, I Love Lucy, etc in syndication
this shit legimately made me laugh

i think the issue that some are having is the show is effectively a sitcom parody with superpowered characters vs a super hero show many were expecting

You are responding to me telling me that I am upset people do not like Wandavision!!! I have not seen it yet.

So I am not upset that people do not like it. I might not even like it.

My 1st comment in this thread is about people who watched the MCU movies but did not get it 100% because they did not know what they are watching.

This is for 2 basic reasons:
1. They aren't fans.
2. They didn't watch all the movies.

Wrong about Thanos? At the end of Avengers a lot of people asked "who is that"? They just saw his face and never heard of or saw him EVER.

That is a fact!

Why would I argue about Thanos not being in GOG for long? What are you talking about man?

Let it go. We are going around in circles at this point, but I'll recap and honestly may stop as far as the overall MCU talk.

The statements ( your piggybacking) were around people understanding what was happening in the MCU as a whole in regards to what you considered the big picture or story. That being, Thanos being the main villian of the MCU and the infinite stones playing a big part in the story. The question is did people watching the movies see the foreshadowing that lead to Infinity Wars?

Your response has been no on the premise that they didn't know who Thanos was and maybe didn't see every movie that had the stones. My initial respose was Thanos and the stones were shown in the first Avengers movie. Your response was everyone didn't see the cut scene because it was at the end of the credits and if they did they didn't know who he was. My next response was Thanos and the stones were mentioned in other movies with Thanos reappearing in Guardians of the Galaxy.Given that Thanos didn't play a large role in Guardians of the Galaxy somewhat similar to the Avengers, I'm surprised you aren't trying to downplay the event to help with your point.

My argument has been Thanos showing up and being the supposed big villain of the MCU was not a shocker. Anyone who watched the movies wouldn't be surprised to see Thanos finally take center stage instead being just a whisper. You didn't need to know who he was in the Avengers credits scene and to your own point they probably would have gotten this answer long before Infinity Wars including how he was related to the Infinity Stones. You didn't necessarily know when or why but it was clear his character would play a big if not major role in the MCU.

If your point is they didn't know because they weren't MC or MCU fans, then your opinion doesn't make sense. Those people shouldn't be mentioned in the same lane as people who overall followed the MCU. The core of the argument has been people didn't get what Marvel was building with the MCU. This automatically implies the person had to be watching the MCU films overall and didn't connect the dots until it got to Infinity Wars ; if then.it makes absolutely no sense to include people who weren't truly following the MCU in a discussion about understanding the world building that was occurring.

How does this link back to Wandavision? Some of the statements being made were you ( not you personally but people in the thread) didn't like Wandavision because you don't understand the world building in the MCU and how the characters will link back to a larger story. The response from the people who were being accused of not understanding what they were watching was that they understood what they were watching. The problem was they didn't like what was being shown in the first two episodes; not a lack of understanding.

One of your responses to people who said they didn't like Wandavision or me who you assumed didn't like was " If you don't like Wandavision. That is on you. Fuck off." You also made comments again this time focused directly on people in this thread about a lack of understanding of the MCU and/or not being fans. I never said you were upset that people didn't like Wandavision. I called you a hypocrite for saying a MCU film may fail without even seeing the film while saying " However from what I know of the MCU, regarding Wandavision you are watching the 1st 15 mins of a movie and are upset because you not entertained." You are ready to write off an entire movie that I don't even think has had as much as a trailer, yet you are talking shit to people saying they aren't fans and they are literally judging the show in real time. A show you aren't even watching to fully understand the complaints.

We can agree to disagree. In my opinion you did not need to be the ultimate MC/MCU fan to understand what is happening in Wandavision overall. The same is true for realizing that Thanos and Infinity Stones were a big part of the larger MCU story. Did you need to see certain movies yes, but not all. If you had been following through most of them you definitely saw it coming to an extent. You didn't need to be a MC/MCU historian to get the overall big picture. Honestly you could probably get away with just watching the Avengers movies and Guardians of the Galaxy to know Thanos and the stones were a major part of the MCU. You would lack the details of all of the world building but you can follow the big picture.

It goes without saying that if you are not into something and only watch one or two films without the understanding the movies build off each other you will miss key details. Those people should not be included in statements about not seeing or understanding the world building of the MCU. They didn't care then and in all likelihood don't care now. While it may not be true for everyone, you probably follow the MCU on some level if you are watching Wandavision or any of the upcoming projects. Bringing it back to the people in the thread who are saying they aren't enjoying what they are seeing. unless they say otherwise we should assume they have watched enough of the MCU films, have some knowledge of MC or can just pick up on the not so subtle clues in the show. The claims of not understanding or appreciating the MCU world building as the reason they don't get or like Wandavision are false.

The three videos below give the same or similar reviews of the show as people in the thread. Considering that two of the three review films/TV shows regularly, there is no way the excuse of not knowing about the MCU can be used. To be fair there are reviews of people who say they like it outright.

and plus in the first episode where the boss was "choking" the wife was talking like a broken record, vision was sitting next to dude and didn't react until wanda said "vision do something"

I just watched an excellent YouTube recap that cleared a lot of things up for me. Looks like Sword thinks she's trapped there and doesn't realize she's the cause of it. How long has Sword been apart of the Marvel universe?

I think the Eternals are going to create the Xmen.

I think the Eternals movie will be the MCU flop.

No one is going to get that story at all.

They might be backing off giving them their own movie. I haven't heard shit about the production on it.

No bro. They are actively filming. The Xmen are coming.
