I totally support dealing with coon immigrants accordingly. I am just saying that their defining characteristic is coon, not immigrant. Ostracizing them from the entire black community instead of just from ADOS is more consequential than a division that gives them an immigrant community to identify with.
Its too late for that. Immigrants have had over 30 years to police their coons and opted not to. Now its not our job to distinguish the difference. Our allies have made themselves known. Everyone else has to fend white supremacy on their own, good luck!
I went to undergrad at an HBCU
You went to one of our schools, thank you for admitting that.
and a friend of mine pointed out how our mindsets were different from back Americans because we did not have to grow up under the obvious yoke of WS. While the point was inarguable, it bothered me that it was said with a sense of superiority and not solidarity. I totally get how this form of divisive colonial mindset can, and should cause friction. However, if we are serious about defeating WS we cannot respond in a manner that weakened the greater movement. (It is worth noting that he was in the minority that immigrated instead of going home to build and I do not argue with anyone that questions his character)
There is no greater movement, melenated people worldwide are not unified. Rival tribes are beefing right now on the continent of Africa and "Pan Africans" in the Caribbean, US, and UK do nothing about it or even try to intervene. Continental Africans were just on twitter the other day laughing at "Caribbeans" calling themselves Pan African and said that shit gets 0 respect on the continent. In their own words "its for Caribbeans and Black Americans". Until Africa is unified, cant expect black folk in the diaspora to be. And Black Americans have a bigger fight right now in our own backyard than to worry about people half way around the world that dont even id with us culturally.
Of that 20%, 15 percent is white and the other five are go-along to get-along types. I literally can't remember an instance of public coonery aside from anonymous voices on talk radio spouting FoxNews talking points; and even those are quickly ushered off-air. As for our coons in your country, to be honest, they can only be your problem. Meddling in the affairs of the empire is a useless pursuit when you have zero influence or leverage; and local issues to deal with.
I do agree with your larger point though. I attend the closest thing to a white church over here (10% white 20% mulatto) and in 2017 a longtime white American "friend' of the congregation visited. During the course of a conversation, he proudly expressed his support for Trump, and hilarity ensued. As the story goes, it was the first time many heard old folks cuss in a church meeting. That guy has not been back since. There is an unease in our congregation bc our black pastor, trained by white evangelical seminaries, and married to a white American, now has to walk a thin line when a white member says something racist like Obama was worst than Trump
I am trying to illustrate that contrary to your assessment, ADOS is not uniquely adept at policing anti-black propaganda. How can you be when you don't control your legal system? Yet you display typical American arrogance (yes, even black Americans do this) and take your limited, American bubble view of the world and make assumptions. In South Africa whites are arrested for using the word K@ffir; in the Bahamas, white folk know the police will actively move against them in any sort of racial dispute(in the absence of big payoff). This culture of intolerance of WS is deeply engrained and it is supported by every facet of society that we control.
While those are nice examples of policing WS, all those countries you named are controlled by WS. And while open WS isnt tolerated, the economies and political landscape are still controlled by whites. There are examples of resistance to WS all thru out history all over the world, in no way am I saying ONLY we fight WS, but we're the only ones who actively fight it nonstop and have made gains HERE. Thats how you were able to go to one of our HBCUs, our ancestors had to create and cultivate those directly out of slavery. In America we had a civil war where White American and Black American blood was shed, what wars took place in the Caribbean that liberated the people that I should know of? You cant compare island history to American history because it isnt the same, which makes us culturally different.
ALL Americans hate to hear that yall are not special. You inspire people from all around there world bc of your proximity to the world empire. Yes, we all love hip hop because of its connection to African ancestral expression. But we also love our expressions of African heritage. Whether it be Junkanoo, Reggae, Soca, Samba etc we love it in our respective regions bc that is what reached us. We also listen to hip hop, not bc it is better or more soulful, but because the neocolonial financial empire of the united states made it available in our regions
The neocolonial financial empire of the US comes from Black Americans, our labor and culture brother. Unfortunately because the dynamic is not the same in the islands, its hard for you to fathom this. Whites in the islands dont look up to Blacks there nor are they uber dependent on them as most whites dont want to live there at all, as the White Americans are with us here. We had a brutal Civil War here where whites blood was shed over our liberation and social status, nothing of the sort ever occured in the islands. White Americans cant survive without Black Americans psychologically which caused a split in the country. Immigrants like yourself will never understand this, and thats OK, Im sure I dont understand things about your country as well. There are Jamaicans, Africans, etc in Great Britain, yet British white people are bigger fans of Black American music than the music from the "Blacks" in their own backyard. Proof that proximity to whiteness doesnt automatically make you the most sought after and emulated culture on the planet.
It is this type of failure to recognize the interconnectivity of the diaspora that causes friction.
The diaspora isnt unified and never has been.
Europe developed a culture of extreme violence and colonized 80% of the planet.
With willing participation and subjugation. You dont colonize nations and keep them subjugated without it. Most Africans and Islanders will still gladly live in Europe today as well or one of her colonies.
Europen Americans are just British traitors and ADOS although different, are no better or worse because of which slave port their ship docked or which European slaver held their bill of sale. Bother to learn the stories of brothers and sisters in other slave ports and not rely on an empirical center-of-the-universe narrative typical of members of an empire
All immigrants hate to hear that they are not special. And that they are simply the "elites" from their countries White Americans are willing to deal with and allow to work for them. They hate to hear that they are basically capitalist and not freedom fighters whatsoever. If they were about freedom fighting they would stay in their home countries and fight, most do not. They hate to hear that they are not Black Americans, simply co-splaying one when they attend HBCUs or operate in spaces intended for Black Americans. In one breath, we arent special, in the next, they demand to be "unified" with us. This is neo-colonialism and settler mentality in a nutshell, and it is learned. Because this is essentially what the British did to the melenated people in their colonies, impose their law on them, while demanding they "unify". I notice you call White Americans "British traitors", which implies Britain deserves loyalty, interesting.
