Joe Biden is now POTUS

Unless Two of the conservatives step down that’s not going to be enough. Democrats can’t afford to keep putting norms and civility above exercising power.

Oh. No doubt. I'm saying that maybe the SC plays a non-biased role in the election disputes to not give the DEMS more ammunition to expand the courts. I'm talking strictly from their perspective. Regardless of what the SC does over the short term, the court needs to be expanded. Period.

A lot of states passed legislation for non partisan redistricting in the 2018 midterms. That means much of gerrymandering will be undone next year when the census results come in. That's a big part of the hard reset.

You don't understand how this works. The vote count in this election determines gerrymandering more than anything else... even more than the census. This is a fact..not up for debate. At best, the Dems can decrease the GOP's advantage but they'll still have a significant advantage even in the best-case scenarios.

I'm actually slightly becoming more bullish on Biden winning Florida by the day. I'd still give Trump a slight edge, but so far Dem turnout is killing it, except in Miami Dade. Hopefully Obama will turn out those voters over the next couple days.

Word? Man. I guess if Biden really turns seniors. I have more confidence in Texas than Florida and the reality is that the dems always overestimate Texas.

I never said that they shouldn't expand the court. They absolutely should and if they take the House and Senate there's no rule that says they can't.

That said though, taking care of this pandemic is a far more important priority. I would even go as far as to say that it outweighs anything else happening in the government at this moment. Anything else would be like shampooing the carpet while the house is on fire.
No.

Its.

NOT.

court reform has to happen while covid control is happening while federal judge districts are divided and new federal court judges are added.

All of this can be done while playing by the rules.

Stop being a pussy.

President Trump denies Axios report claiming he plans to declare premature victory if he appears ‘ahead’ on election night

President Trump says a report by Axios claiming he told confidants that he’ll declare victory on Tuesday night if he appears to be “ahead” is false. Trump went on to criticise Supreme Court rulings that allow absentee ballots that arrive after Election Day to be counted in states such as Pennsylvania saying “as soon as that election is over, we’re going in with our lawyers.” Pennsylvania’s attorney general responded, saying: “Our elections are over when all the votes are counted.”

Mail-in ballots counted after Election Day are as legitimate as in-person votes recorded on November 3, as per state-by-state rules

- "Many states won't be done counting mail ballots by Tuesday night - In Pennsylvania, state law prevents election officials from counting mail-in ballots before Election Day

- It could be days, if not weeks before it is known who won Pennsylvania. If it's a close race, this could also be true for other states, given the record numbers of Americans who voted by mail this year"

In the meantime, the first thing you do is treat Covid the same way you treat a foreign military or terrorist cell that murdered 1,000+ civilians a day. By doing so the economy will take care of itself and every lie that Trump told about the Democrats will be countered.

Then, with the trust of the public firmly in tact you pass legislation which shores up all of the unwritten rules Trump broke. By then you've figured out who gets packed into the court and the way you add them. the general public will be a lot more willing to accept this once they see that the government actually works.

Once this change is made you past legislation to ensure voting rights for all citizens and go hard on the environment.

The thing is that if Democrats control the executive branch in both houses they have got to knock this shit out of the park. They have to do a job that is so unquestionably spectacular that issues like wearing a mask, protecting the earth, Universal health care, etc are no longer partisan issues.

I think Biden has already said he won't have the power for a national mask mandate. He may be able to do it for federal buildings, and the CDC may be able to do it for public transportation, but a lot of this has to be done at the local level. Hopefully some dems replace the GOP who were fighting this and having a president that doesn't take wearing a mask as an insult or reflection of manhood will help.

:smh:

Reminds me of the hundreds of thousands of bikers heading to DC for the inauguration....
So I actually drive this route 5 days a week as a local truck driver. I do a shuttle run to exit 1 in Arizona from Phoenix. Anyway, this is the biggest fucking lie ever. It was maybe a few miles of them. At the most 5 miles scattered in with Sunday traffic back to California. They have been in my way the past few weeks. I can’t wait for them and their stupid flags to be done already.

They could but it's a terrible idea.

For starters there's no real rush on fixing the electoral college system. They literally have years to do it.

second, how are you going to make fundamental changes to the supreme Court immediately after the last party destroyed everyone's confidence in democracy?

Dems need to win the Public's trust back first

If the public put them back in office........ Doesn't that mean they have their trust?

News is saying Detroit ninjas voting at less than 50%.

Contact your peoples. I’ve messaged two.

i just went home for the weekend.

the gop is running a full court press of commercials to depress the black vote. the commercials are awful but dudes that don't know shit will believe them. they are running those commercials all day and night. apparently it is working. imagine if the coons and agents were able to run commercials here. that is what is going on.

Wouldn't be shocked if violence pops off in Ft Worth. They already had Trumpers trying to intimidate black voters until brothers showed up with them thangs.

i was driving back to memphis from michigan on sunday. cult 45 was all over the highways every where. they were set up at corners. at truck stops. sitting on top of overpasses. they were literally everywhere.

it has me concerned because i don't know if that is a vocal minority or people are really reading this election wrong.

If they lose Michigan/Milwaukee/Pennsylvania again because of low turnout in the cities, I don't know what to say. :smh: I keep saying it but the easiest path to victory for the Democrats involves driving up the vote in Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Detroit. Clinton lost Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin by a combined total of around 77K (around 12-13K votes in Michigan) :smh: . Detroit turnout in 2016 was down by 38K from 2012. If the DNC/Biden campaign haven't done anything to address this, I would be disappointed but not shocked. Democrats have a recent history of doing dumb shit with their campaigns (Clinton's rural outreach chair was a Brooklyn based staffer :smh:  )

One thing that really bothers me is that when any other demographic doesn't come out, it is described as a failure of the campaign to effectively communicate. When Black people don't turnout, especially Black men, it is portrayed as their failure. It is wild to me that the media can understand the disgruntled trump voter but don't even try to understand why a good portion of Black men may not be enthusiastic about a Clinton or Biden ticket.

I know folks want Election Day to be a Federal Holiday so everyone can get out and vote, but honestly, with early voting measures that each state has in place, it's not even needed.

I honestly don't understand why people don't just Vote Early.

And I'm not talking about Early as in Mail In Votes, I mean, showing up to a designated polling place and voting early.

I'm not looking forward to seeing all the long ass lines full of Black and Brown people waiting to cast their vote on Election Day/Night. ESPECIALLY when states have had Early Voting at polling places for the last few weeks.

No. For many it just means that they're desperate to get rid of Donald Trump. that's why Biden's needs to start hitting home runs the moment he unlocks the White House door

California, Oregon, and Washington State all decided to share strict public health guidelines. Now these three states have some of the lowest new infection rates in the country. Could Biden use Congress to give federal funding to any state who enforces the same regulations?

90% of the people with the intention of voting have already done it. Its all over but the crying/scheming at this point.

Depends on the state. Even with early voting, people were waiting up to 11 hours. Folks with kids and health conditions can't do that. You also have people who work night shift who can't work, then stand in line 4+hours.
Not every state or employer acts in good faith, so guaranteed time off would help these people.

This! If you have the option to vote early for damn near a month, who in their right mind waits until the final day. 30 days of voting and you let 29 get by you? With shorter lines at that? :smh:
