Is this fallout from the days of Slavery ? and yest I got it many times myself....all from my own family and not any of the village stuff.

Ok he whooped there ass. So what is he going to do after whooping their ass? Is he and the mother going to properly guide them?
I would really like to have more context with this situation.
Too many parents don't have the patience or proper parenting skills and it leads to kids always being cussed out, whooped, etc....but no guidance.

After awhile kids become numb to that shit and they end up on the streets doing dumb and criminal shit.

I call bullshit. No you weren't. You told on yourself when you said.... "I got THESE" which is plural, from mom, dad and aunt..... so maybe the beatings weren't doing what you claim. So in reality, you needed more and more beatings so were they doing all that you claim? They weren't, and they don't..... beatings are effective as long as the threat of the beating is standing there. Otherwise, the most obedient kids of all would be the ones who the the most and WORST physical beatings. Talk to social workers and you'll discover kids who got the worst beatings generally grew to be the worst, maladjusted, emotionally scarred kids. Every last thing you do teaches your boy a lesson alright. When you beat him for non compliance you also train him that physical abuse is the remedy to non compliance. You're teaching that the appropriate response for people who won't be quiet is to slp the hell out of them. I'm sure that'll prep him for dating and marriage. Sometimes humans do things cause "that's the way we've always done it" and it allows our brains to go on vacation. Just like the Jim Crow people said when asked why we sat in the back and drank from the colored faucet. Cause that's they way it's always been. I don't need a thought out reasoning. Beating kids is the response of people who can't reason on a higher plane than violence.

Back that statement up. Was there a study of some type that came up with this rationale or did you dream it up and type it. Where has it been established that if kids had more beatings, they'd grow up less violent? Gotta hear this. BTW Sweden banned corporal punishment of kids in 1979 and Sweden enjoys one of the lowest murder rates on Earth... about 100 homicides a year for the whole nation! Why are we seeing the complete opposite of the rationale you presented in Sweden?

ngga what? how did you come to that by my post. this NOT a beating, just a regular whooping. when I said these, meaning I got in trouble at school and got whoop by my aunt who picked me up, when my mom got home i got whooping by her, and the same with my dad when he got home. so I got three whoopings in the same day for the same thing. which is why I said "these". fuck all that other shit you on
 
SCOTLAND IS YET NOTHER COUNTRY THAT HAS BANNED BEATING OF CHILDREN. Let's compare their adult crime figures to the US where we give good old fashioned beatings to correct violent tendencies and other objectionable behavior in our children ..........

I'm not a "ngga" sir, (spelled ANY kind of way) and am as much offended by a Black man calling me that as a white man. Maybe more! I will engage you in all the debate you want or none at all, but the ground rules must be that we don't dehumanize people who don't share our opinion. You don't do it at work, why here with your own people?

Beating them like the white man taught him...Sad. Never beat my kids. They get prolonged punishment. I take away their gadgets for extended periods of time. Then with that free time they read more and go outside more. I give them back their stuff 1 week at a time maybe. But it takes months to earn it.
 
I used to get whoopings. They did help me, but my parents did it right. I didn't get beat excessively and afterwards they would talk with me. The beatings we so often joke about that we see in Black parenting, a lot of those are just out of anger. They are poor, depressed, and their life is trash. I saw a lot of those when I was a young and those kids used to get beat like slaves. Used to see some kids get beat for over a minute :smh:
