A Proper Ass Whoopin

Been on the fence for some years about physical punishment started out with it no question cause that’s how I was brought up. But stopped about 3yrs ago from it after we felt it was making kids scared/timid. Last week one of my kids violated a serious house/online rule and i had to “get the strap” wish it didn’t play out that way. but when the bat single went up for this offense, wasn’t no way a joker wasn’t getting jacked up for that bullshit me and wifey in a “Cold War” still cause she thought it went to far and I almost agree but the shit was borderline criminal and some well established and understood rules were broken. Bet no one with my last name in this house try that shit again tho...

You can't say for fact a parent will do that period.

There are always variables and nothing is 100%. Yet it's a logical conclusion that the treatment will get worse as the child grows older, and not lighter. Since what worked on a young child will not work on an older child.

It no different from the treatment people male/feamle from their spouse.
The ass whooping doesn't get better over time. It gets worse.

You spank them so you don't have to escalate

Wait so you say you spank them so you don't have escalate such actions.
So you agree that as the child gets older. So does the punishment.

Now let look at where this all began:



Ok he whooped there ass. So what is he going to do after whooping their ass? Is he and the mother going to properly guide them?
I would really like to have more context with this situation.
Too many parents don't have the patience or proper parenting skills and it leads to kids always being cussed out, whooped, etc....but no guidance.

After awhile kids become numb to that shit and they end up on the streets doing dumb and criminal shit.
