You mean a margins account - right?

Honestly i didn't. All this time when folks were short selling i thought they were referring to option "put" position.
I didn't realize there was a short sell requiring a "margin" account.

Fear of missing out. I had 1 play today. Saw it on the rise but was too busy to strap in for the ride.
Right on. Each one teach one. I dumped Mara at 3.66 in Robinhood and reupped on it in WEBuLL. I’m slowly migrating my money over to WeBuLL In the big dips.

What were you using before webull? Im looking for another platform to do day trades to avoid webull's 3 day trades in a week policy.

TEVA selling off badly.

This popped up for me since this is one of the stocks I follow. Bought a PUT as it was dropping and it just reversed mid day. How you getting sued by the govt and you go up a $1 a share.

Much I have to learn because the market don’t make sense.

They opened around 11.70, but dropped to 9.80, before going back to 10.51.

Did we all see what happened to SRNE in AH.
CFO got fired, he was an investment person.
Accounting Manager got promoted to CFO.
He was actually an auditor at PWC before.
Salary for former CFO was 3.3M new one is 300k with incentive.
Market Maker decided to drop stock and all the robinhood trader panicked and a whole lot of stop losses and scared people sold.
Then Market Maker took it back up in less than an hour.

Market maker just drove it back down again to take out the remaining stops.
I know this was a setup and the CFO getting let go was a play to most likely get FDA money and approval.
But still, he broke alot of hearts tonight.

Sometimes you get a big bang if its approved but the real profit is made during the run up. If you gonna do biotech plays with FDA approvals you gotta be scoping the PDUFA calendar every month (https://www.biopharmcatalyst.com/calendars/pdufa-calendar) to know whats coming up, hop in accordingly and ride the waves up to the date. I got almost 30% off TRVN a week or so before the approval date. I know others made way more if they got in earlier. I'm up almost 25% on LPCN and its approval date isn't until Aug. 28th.

FDA Approvals are like earnings, good or bad, it's hard to predict which way it will go and even harder to predict reaction. I generally get out before approvals and then move onto the next although, like earnings, you can play the overreaction to the FDA decision as well.

its a combination of a lot of things. gotta be in front of your computer or on your phone alot.
use Webull and TOS so you can see and follow the charts (candlestick patterns, entry points, resistance, support levels, volume, etc) follow and keep up to date with the news feeds.
After you've setup your watchlists for companies you're interested in and follow the above,....you'll be able to know when to jump in and jump out
Thank you for the advice gentlemen . I signed up for Ameritrade. I tried signing up for WeBull but they talking 'bout "Upload a copy of a photo I.D."

TRVN got up to 4.50 at one point Friday evening. It was a good play from my end.

At first I was like "4.50?! Man that ain't nothing." Then I realized that if you were able to buy a few hundred stocks when it was at $1 or $2 that's a nice chunk of change right there. If you were able to get a 1,000 or 2 :money:.

i saw the stock in this thread, did some research. Now i have shares and Im following the stock on my trading platform I get notifications on things going on

i got in at $4. I shoulda bought more:mad:

Yeah man I'm doing some research myself. I'm looking at every company working on a covid vaccine. Just gotta choose the right one(s).

Yea man. When you have a good amount of shares, the money ( seems like it) goes up exponentially. It's an great feeling watching the total going up.

As far as the vaccine plays, the phase 3 starts and FDA approvals are the biggest catalysts I've seen.

What do you do when you're in the RED?

Scalped, took some profit, but got greedy and held...

Cut losses, take the hit, or hold and hope?

That dip by $WMT made me hesitate.

$JD shot out the gate and hit $71.36
Made the $71 C 21 AUG...super quick $100 profit.

I was tipped on this stock last Friday but I had to see for myself before I posted it on Monday.

Purchased another $71 C 21 AUG yesterday before closing...purchased a $73 C 21 Aug today once the shorts gave up. Hoping for it to hit $75 by Friday.

Congrats....I saw the news early this morning about senior management buying shares....and i went Meh...

This was premarket when i could have gotten in at $1.40

:hithead::fuckyousay:
Man you have to look at the current volume vs what the normal volume is. If normal volume is 1k and currently is at 30k in volume, you know that stock is gonna move. Same thing vice versa. I bought after the bell, around 9:45 at 2.30, sold at 2.74 from sell stop
