Charles Booker, black challenger to Mitch McConnell catching fire in Kentucky

Well there up to their old tricks. Son's of biches :smh::angry:

The Kentucky and Georgia situations are different in my opinion. We all know the Governor of Georgia is not interested in fair elections and will do what is necessary to prevent the black vote.

The Governor of Kentucky is a Dem who couldn't have won his seat without Black and progressive voter turnout. He is however, very cautious on letting Corona virus run wild in Kentucky compared to surrounding republican led states. As a result he asked the each county in the Kentucky to come up with a plan that would allow in person voting but limit spread of the disease. Every county has reduced the number of polling places to single digits (most less than 3).

In Jefferson County, (the biggest county) in person voting for tomorrows primary is restricted to one location the Jefferson County fair grounds which is probably the best location for it. You could also vote in person at the County Election center up until 4pm today. They also sent out ballots by mail to registered voters who requested it. They've communicated this via news, email, social media and daily press briefings so people can't say they didn't know.

They are running free public transportation (with Covid measures in place) to the fairgrounds from all the Black population centers (West End, South End) to the fairgrounds for free tomorrow.

I don't know if the fairground thing will work out. It may be a fail like Georgia in terms of long waits, but I do know it won't be from an attempt to intentionally suppress the Black vote.

I got my mail in ballot (as well as my sons) after just a week of requesting it. Many others have as well. Putting our is the mail today.

You can’t have Amy run against son doctor son wack job. She would have lost 2 races. She’s Martha Mcsally. You let Amy win and you run booker next election season.

You have to understand the Kentucky only has 2 major population centers (Louisville and Lexington make up 1 million people) This is also where the overwhelming percentage of democratic (and Black) voters are. Outside of these two areas you basically have a lot of small towns with an average of like 20k or less. So long story short, the democratic strongholds have 1/4th of the population of the state. If Louisville and Lexington show up in Novenmber with big numbers its a wrap for Bitch ass Mitch

This is how the Dems were able to win the Governor in 2019 (from a very unpopular Trump loving Republican).

It CAN happen, but he has to win the primary first.

I hope you’re right. I’m tired of seeing that idiots face.

Got a few friends in Louisville they pretty much said you had a pretty long time to mail in the ballots to avoid lines and Covid they even delayed the primary :dunno:

This is the downside to mail in voting. Sometimes the preferred candidate stumbles and you want to change your mind and there isn’t a remedy for that.

The wait for Kentucky’s primary election results will be over at 6 p.m. Tuesday, but key races might be called by lunchtime.

Kentucky election officials have spent the last week counting ballots in an election that was largely conducted through the mail because of concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

As of noon Monday, about 87 percent of the absentee ballots mailed to voters (738,318) had been returned, according to the Secretary of State’s Office. That number is expected to grow some Monday. When added with in-person and early voting, Kentucky is on track for a potential record turnout.

If only Yvette and Tariq and Antonio and their millions hundreds of rabid cyber disciples had spent even a fraction of as much time and energy supporting Charles Booker as they regularly do sowing unprovoked division to intentionally burn the bridges of Black community unity and actively encouraging Black voter supression...

there are way more racist white people in kentucky than black folks. if you want a seat at the table, move somewhere with more people like you to make a difference. america will never be a racist free place and there would be a war before whites give up their power. and once they get into office, they become like the others. you can't win a rigged game. i thought obama showed you that.

If he wins the primary, that's proof that there are a lot more open minded white people in Kentucky than you give it credit for.

And even if he loses, he's making it easier for the next black man or woman. "I thought Obama showed you that." How ironic. You sound like the kind of person who said Obama could never win!

1 he won't.
2 easier for the next black woman or man to be a talking head doing absolutely nothing for disrupting white supremacy.
