I can see where that train of thought comes from and I don't think its completely wrong.
I will need to rewatch, but Lawrence probably would still be on the couch if Issa would not have did what she did. Some people won't move until they lose or are close to losing something they value. Lawrence wasn't a true bum by any means, but from what I can remember he may have lost motivation initially. People fall in love with the image they first knew of you and technically speaking if you lose apart of yourself in your partner's eyes you're not the person they loved. In Issa's case this lead to her cheating with someone she thought was more driven.
He didn't start doing better because she cheated on him.
He started doing better because he wanted to be better for her.
She lost him because she cheated on him.
It's amazing how cheating is being rationalized for her
Well he wasn't getting to his goals fast enough so she chased outside dick instead of trying to make sure she nurtured that potential.
It's fake.
Hey he got potential but I don't want to help the dude if he gets down cause life is tough.
I want him to do it on his own and then once he's on the other side I can say I was with him and got him through it?
Simply being present isn't being there and for a vast majority of what we saw she wasn't there. She wasn't like maybe get therapy
We're introduced to her asking if she should just break up with him
She wasn't asking how can she help him
People have the right to be tired of someone for any of their reasons
But if you do that you don't get to claim ownership of their successes after like you were in the thick of it supporting and helping him get back on his feet.
Lawrence literally slipped and when he realized he slipped he did a 180, tried his ass off and started the climb.
He did all of this for her...cause shit he loved her.
Not even on some she seeing someone else so I better hustle
We saw what happened when he found out she cheated.
He left.
So the r revision when we saw what happened is funny style
Shit Issa is now throwing events left her dead end Job and moving forward does Lawrence have the right to be like I had the woman with potential someone else will get the woman I thought I was dating?
Cause it's true
