I will need to rewatch, but Lawrence probably would still be on the couch if Issa would not have did what she did. Some people won't move until they lose or are close to losing something they value. People fall in love with the image they first knew of you and technically speaking if you lose apart of yourself in your partner's eyes you're not the person they loved. but the conversation before was really one-sided and understanding of what she did. We can't downplay the single reason they're not together.

If she left him cause he was "bumming" that's even some shit I'd be ok with because some people don't have the patience. She had the patience she was chasing some shit she thought it should be instead of working on what it could be.

I can say this (based off my observations outside of BGOL Most women are really downplaying Issa cheating and want Issa and Lawrence to get back together.

I might be a bit more cynical but I don't agree with that. I'm glad they've both come up since her transgressions but I think they need to dead any chance of a new relationship. But, women (myself included) want the happy ending... So, it's a toss up how this season will go, if you ask me.

It's just so cliche if they end up back together. Like, let's change the narrative a little - why can't Issa come up, yet still remain single? Security may come from a relationship but how about showing us how much these black women can mature without running back to what they were secure with beforehand. And, I've done that "getting back together with my ex after cheating" thing. I decided, if it didn't work the second time around, I wouldn't be friends with him. Welp, we ain't friends but I'm good and I'm sure he is too lol

The good folks at HBO have renewed Insecure for a fifth season, giving Issa the character a little more time to get her life together. “We’re thrilled that Issa, Prentice, and the whole Insecure team will be getting back together for a fifth season,” said Amy Gravitt, executive vice-president of HBO Programming, in a release. “As we laugh and cringe with recognition, their stories make us all feel a little less alone in the world.” The fourth season of Insecure is currently under way, delivering all the drama we’re missing in our personal lives during this pandemic. Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales, and Alexander Hodge all returned as series regulars. Elsewhere, Issa the human being, while forever an “Awkward Black Girl,” is keeping busy. She recently starred in The Photograph with Lakeith Stanfield, and her rom-com The Lovebirds with Kumail Nanjiani hits Netflix May 22. Now, look, we all know it took Insecure season four a little long to come out. The show was renewed for a fourth season in September 2018 and didn’t premiere until April 2020 due to Rae’s busy schedule. But it’s not Issa Rae’s fault that she’s a sought-after triple threat (acting, writing, and rapping).

Did she even call Condola? Seems like she went from trying to book a new act to calling Molly. I was wondering why she never called Condola and ask her for her help. Maybe, I missed something.
