It's like a new strain of the Flu that is getting a lot of press.

There have been 8,200+ Flu deaths in America THIS YEAR. Where is the quarantine for this?!

My girl works in the medical field.. this is worse then FLU.

The real shit that every one worries about that they aren't talking about is the risk of further mutation the longer this thing spreads...

It's already mutated twice...

Cats are up hear talking about the Mortality rate when we don't even have a full sample of this thing yet. We really just started talking about it December 1.... the first known case in the US was in January ... In a little less then 2 months... we have 2,000 cases and no idea who else has it because we aren't testing..

People can lose 20 to 30% of there lung capacity even if you don't die from this... My girl says that it feels like an prolonged asthma attack .... that you have trouble catching your breathe.. this is why Older people have the biggest risk..

This is why its important to limit exposure and kill it as quick as possible..... before it changes to resistant version..

When Judicial Bar sends out a fucking memo to people telling them that we may have to do shit through FaceTime and Zoom... Kats need to take shit seriously.

We probably won’t have regular court until after April 15..

“If you’re trying to sell porn, having the entire country cooped up at home with nothing to do is kind of a dream scenario,” said Los Angeles-based porn star Kate Kennedy.
Kennedy, 25, opened an account a week ago on the site OnlyFans, where users pay $10 a month to watch her perform sex acts, fold laundry nude and brush her teeth.
She said she’s up to 100 subscribers and has made four figures in tips and fees — about what she typically made in a month.

“Cam girls and content creators are doing business like crazy,” Kennedy said.

The tweets came fast and furious after HUD Secretary Ben Carson committed a coronavirus etiquette faux pas at a White House news conference.
The former neurosurgeon stepped up to the podium to make a few remarks. But he only gets a few words out — “Thank you, Mr. Vice President” — before he coughs into his hand, touches his face and then touches the podium.
Moments earlier, President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence had spoken into the same microphone.
The Twitterati weren’t kind to Carson.
“Even my 4 year old baby cousin knows better than to cough and sneeze into her hands instead of her elbow at least #bencarson,” @quesada_Kayla posted.

The powerful New York teacher’s union has escalated its latest beef with Mayor Bill de Blasio, urging parents to demand school closures over coronavirus concerns.
“Because of his irresponsible decision to keep the public schools open, Mayor Bill de Blasio can no longer assure the health and safety of our students and school communities,” wrote Michael Mulgrew, president of the United Federation of Teachers, in an email to its members.
“The mayor is recklessly putting the health of our students, their families and school staff in jeopardy by refusing to close public schools. We have a small window of time to contain the coronavirus before it penetrates into our communities and overwhelms our health care system’s capacity to safely care for all the New Yorkers who may become gravely ill,” he continued.
The UFT wants parents to call 311 — which has already been flooded with calls regarding the coronavirus — to demand that the city close schools and maintain services for “medically fragile students and other vulnerable children.”
Teachers have already called for a “mass sick out,” urging teachers to call in sick to defy the mayor — who has repeatedly defended his stance that schools should remain open.
More than 1.1 million students attend more than 1,900 public schools in the city.

OperaWire has reported that the Metropolitan Opera will host “Nightly Met Opera Streams” on its official website in an attempt to continue providing opera to its audience members. “We’d like to provide some grand opera solace to opera lovers in these extraordinarily difficult times,” said Met general manager Peter Gelb in a press release. “Every night, we’ll be offering a different complete operatic gem from our collection of HD presentations from the past 14 years.”

The stream will be free and will present encores of The Met’s acclaimed Live in HD series. The performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST and will be available to stream for 20 hours. The first week’s schedule, outlined below, will be featuring timeless classics as Carmen, La Bohème, and La Traviata. Robert Pattinson's upcoming The Batman film, which has been shooting in London, is the latest movie production to be put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EW has confirmed.

"Warner Bros. Pictures feature production of The Batman will be on a two-week hiatus starting today," Warner Bros. announced in a statement. "The studio will continue to monitor the situation closely."

In addition to starring Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and also stars Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson. It is still slated for a release date of June 25, 2021.

I get all that.

All I'm saying is that the Flu is a proven mass killer that is transmitted just like Corona and there has never been mention of a quarantine.

I get that this is in it's infancy and I could be 100% wrong.

My main issue is that there are still SEVERAL points of contact i.e. restaurants, stores, gyms, etc.

I'm sure in two months we will have a much clearer picture. My bet is that most things are back to normal just with a heightened concern about transmission of all airborne communicable diseases.

The problem is, its more contagious & more lethal for those at risk. Bottom line.

Bacteria morph's(?) & this will be back to haunt us all a few years from now. Possibly next flu season! Thats the alarm & warning.
