Kaepernick working out live on youtube

I find it laughable folks have a problem with his Kunta Kinte shirt
You accuse the company of racism and slavery and then go to an interview with a Kunte Kinte shirt on and you see no issues with that?

How exactly was that supposed to help him obtain employment?

I find it quite disturbing that a person can be labeled a militant by non-violent actions.

  1. He kneeled during the anthem: At the suggestion of a military vet. People are still kneeling in the NFL. Jehovah's witnesses and the Amish dont salute the flag or stand for the anthem either. Are they militant?
  2. He wore a Castro shirt: Castro was an elected dictator who chose to not allow his country to fall into debt or financial control of outsiders. This made him a threat. The US has and still does have friendly alliances with dictators.
  3. He wore pig socks: No foul here.
So, it is these actions that qualify him to be labeled a "militant?" It is not my intention to be disrespectful. However, I fail to comprehend the mindset of black folk who can not understand why the Kaepernick situation is problematic.

With that being said, with genuine sincerity, I accept your epithet of being an "e-militant," "keyboard-militant," or just plan ol' "militant" as a compliment and a badge of honor if it puts me in the company of those who stand for what right.

Below is exactly what I was talking about. Kaep's people dropped the fucking ball. They had the release on Wednesday and didn't come with a response until fucking Friday. :smh:

This isn't an anti-Kaep piece.

The people representing Kaep are fucking clowns for this shit. Millions of dollars on the fucking line and my guys don't respond until 2 fucking days later? In the age of texts and emails? They all fired for incompetence. This shit is inexcusable.

Naturally, Kaep took all the heat, not the fucking idiots working on his behalf. I'm assuming Kaep didn't tell his team to sit on shit for two fucking days.

As PFT and others have said, allowing Kaepernick to sign the release in light of the history between the parties would have been irresponsible at best, malpractice at worst.

Given the unique history between the parties, which has included one multi-million-dollar piece of employment litigation and quite possibly will include another, it became critical for his lawyers to carefully read the waiver and to ensure that nothing in the document would limit or eliminate his ability to file a second grievance for collusion regarding his ongoing lack of legitimate chances with specific teams since the settlement of the first grievance. But it also became critical for his lawyers to immediately engage the league regarding any concerns, given the compressed time frame under which both sides were operating.

Per multiple sources with knowledge of the situation, Kaepernick’s representatives did not communicate specific concerns regarding the potential breadth of the release to the league on Wednesday or Thursday. On Friday, Kaepernick’s representatives told the league that there were minor concerns regarding the release.
By Saturday morning, specific complaints about the proposed release still had not been articulated.

They ain't have time to review it? Maybe at first glance they thought it was the standard agreement everyone gets. If the NFL wasn't on some bullshit there wouldn't have been this confusion.

Imagine going to Popeye's for the chicken sandwich and everyone but you gets chicken and the give you catfish. You wouldn't know until you unwrapped it, and if the used the same battery and sauce you might not know until you took a bite.

The NFL sent Kaepernick a bootleg chicken sandwich and people. Fuck them. IDGAF!

Don't fall for the okie doke, the NFL called up Kaepernick on some Trojan Horse shit: they wanted him to sign a form that would have not allowed him to sue them again. The whole point of the thing was to get him to sign that form and Kaep's people were too smart for that.

Howard Bryant would disagree with the article. According,to him the NFL gave Kap and his team two hours to make a decision to come to the workout or not. When,Kap made the decision, his team tried to negotiate but the NFL declined everything...Even,when they knew the NFL won't budge,Kap's team was still trying to negotiate but they said fuck it and went the second venue.

Ill believe Howard Bryant's word than the article, since he's been more on point about the situation than most people.

They ain't have time to review it? Maybe at first glance they thought it was the standard agreement everyone gets. If the NFL wasn't on some bullshit there wouldn't have been this confusion.

Right, they tried to sell him a dummy point blank. People can't lose sight over that FACT. Colin and his representation is another matter and doesn't need to really be brought up while discussing this issue. The NFL trying to deceive Kaep on the backend with the promise of a team wide workout on the front is the point. So like you said fuck the NFL, shit was fishy from the jump. Teams had this long, then all of a sudden out of the blue they schedule a workout. We just thought it was to give the illusion that they were "trying." But it was worse and proves further that they have actively tried to keep him out.

Like,I said many times, if the NFL was truly genuine they should have negotiated with Kap's team on some stuff and not try to slip some bullshit in a standard contract.

And let's not forget that the NFL lied in a statement, afterwards, saying Nike was there to shoot a commercial... :hmm:

Can you post the standard contract or waiver and the one given to Kaepernick for comparison?

Like,I said many times, if the NFL was truly genuine they should have negotiated with Kap's team on some stuff and not try to slip some bullshit in a standard contract.

At first glance? These are pros. There is no 'just glancing' at shit. Even if the NFL is on bullshit, I expect my legal team to be on it that fucking hour. They better have a response email out that fucking day.

Don't fall for the okie doke, the NFL called up Kaepernick on some Trojan Horse shit: they wanted him to sign a form that would have not allowed him to sue them again. The whole point of the thing was to get him to sign that form and Kaep's people were too smart for that.
I get that. Even the piece I linked to says his lawyers would be fucked up to let him sign it. But my issue has been his legal team didn't even fucking respond with details until Saturday.

Why do folks keep giving them a pass? That's just incompetence.

That's because those clowns waited days to respond to the initial paperwork. They didn't come with details until Saturday. The piece I linked backs everything you said.

Here's the thing fellas. I'm with Kaep. I want him to win. My thing is he ended up looking bad due to his team not handling NFL fuckery in the proper manner. They should have been working into the evening on Wednesday and had points ready that night or Thursday morning at the latest, not on the day of the workout.

So to be clear, everyone here agrees: The original waiver was fucked up. Where cats lose the point is the delayed response to the waiver.

I agree. They were on some bullshit with that waiver. They were on some bullshit by giving him only 4 days warning. Still, you pay your lawyers a lot of bread to handle shit like this. Lawyers get paid to deal with fuckery. PR guys get paid to make you not look like a complete ass.

It's not incompetence, NFL has banned Kaepernick...it's collusion & the NFL was trying to trick Kaepernick in signing his 'right to sue' rights aways.

Sources: NFL teams haven't called Colin Kaepernick since QB's Nov. 16 workout

In the week since Colin Kaepernick worked out for seven NFL teams at Charles R. Drew High School in Riverdale, Georgia, no teams have reached out to work him out, visit with him or sign him, league sources told ESPN.
Kaepernick, 32, remains unemployed, and NFL teams remain uninterested in his services -- the same story that has followed the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback for almost three years.

Kaepernick's representatives sent video of their client's workout to the 25 NFL teams that did not attend last Saturday, but that has not led to any interest, either.

The fact that the NFL tried to spark interest in Kaepernick last week, and could not, and that his reps made sure that video of the workout was delivered to every team, are just the latest signs that the chances are bleak that a team will step forward and sign him.

Some sources speculated that there had been teams interested in making a move with Kaepernick, and could in the weeks after his workout. But nothing has materialized, and nothing is expected to at this time.
After completing his 40-minute workout on Nov. 16, Kaepernick said he's ready for another opportunity and wants the league to "stop running'' from him.

"I've been ready for three years,'' Kaepernick said. "I've been denied for three years. We all know why I came out here. showed it today in front of everybody. We have nothing to hide. So we're waiting for the 32 owners, 32 teams, Roger Goodell, all of them to stop running. Stop running from the truth. Stop running from the people."

Kaepernick, who in 2012-13 quarterbacked the 49ers to an appearance in the Super Bowl, protested police brutality and social injustice by kneeling during the pregame national anthem and has been out of football since 2016.
The NFL originally scheduled the workout to take place at the Falcons' facility, but Kaepernick's camp switched venues after a disagreement between the two sides on the quarterback's liability waiver and media availability, among other factors.

In a statement, the NFL said it was "disappointed that Colin did not appear for his workout.''
The change in venue interrupted schedules for many of the 25 teams that were set to watch Kaepernick at the original site, but Kaepernick still threw in front of representatives from the Niners, Eagles, Chiefs, Jets, Redskins, Lions and Titans.

ESPN's Vaughn McClure contributed to this report.

Yo, we agree. They sent him a waiver on Wednesday that was fucked. The fact remains his team didn't respond for days. How can you excuse that shit? If your lawyers did that shit with a known hostile entity, you wouldn't be heated?

Lawyers don't earn their money when shit is going well. They earn it by how they handle shit like this.

I never, ever, ever, ever said they were acting in good faith. Where did I say that? Even before all this shit came about, I questioned them.

It's clear they weren't acting in good faith by sending that fucked waiver on Wednesday. It's also clear Kaep's team fucked up by not responding until Friday and not in detail til Saturday. It's like Kaep's guys were working for the NFL. :smh:

I don't get how this shit ain't understood. It's like basic shit. And in the day of email/text where folks routinely get communications later in the day. How the fuck do you wait two fucking days to get back over some obviously fucked paperwork?

Shit is professionally embarrassing and has fucked with the reputation of their client.

@ansatsusha_gouki

This is nothing more than a “change the narrative“ article. It focuses on the timing of the waiver response by Kap’s team. Saying they somehow messed up by responding late.

However, if the league did not present such a short timeline in the first place this could have been avoided. This was basically a contract negotiation on the league‘s side. Does anyone really believe the negotiations would only take 3 days to complete? Especially when it’s just coming out of the blue from the NFL.

What is also being lost is the negotiations regarding the other items. Camers, receivers, personnel, who’s running it, etc were all being discussed. There were a lot of moving parts. You can’t do everything at once.

Looking back at the rushed timing by the NFL they were probably hoping that Kap’s team would slip up on some of the items by rushing it.

Lastly, remember that Kap’s team ask for asked for more time. They wanted to push it back a week or at least until the following Tuesday to ensure everything is done the right way. The NFL’s response was, “No. You have 2 hours to decide. Take it or leave it.”

Naw fam, His lawyers ain’t shit and his team is trash. They should have looked at the terms asap
Does that make the NFL right? They refused to change the contract anyway so finding it in 3 hours or 3 days doesn't change shit.

The NFL said sign this "contract" or else boy. Hence the Kunta Kinte runaway slave shirt.

I never, ever, ever, ever said they were acting in good faith. Where did I say that? Even before all this shit came about, I questioned them.

If the NFL weren't acting in good faith, then it doesn't matter what Kaep's team did in terms of time; the NFL already has him black-balled so there was no way his team could have fucked this up.

I agree. They were on some bullshit with that waiver. They were on some bullshit by giving him only 4 days warning. Still, you pay your lawyers a lot of bread to handle shit like this. Lawyers get paid to deal with fuckery. PR guys get paid to make you not look like a complete ass.
the waiver was malicious but over all the NFL is incompetent...
The NFL kept "adjusting" or even reversing what information would be provided to Kap n advance of workout
personnel involved etc
during the course of negotiations Wednesday to Friday Kap kept taking on more and more roles and financial responsibility that the NFL initially stated it would control

The legal team had more to perform in addition to reviewing the waiver...

it was 3 and half days of continuous negotiations between Kap and the NFL
The waiver was one of many issues - that editing iit was considered minor -until it wasn't
by Friday night the deal breakers were control of recorded media of the event and section 7 in the waiver

The NFL waited until 2:30p on Saturday to give an answer

(side note: I don't think white people had any idea of how fast hbcu and ivy league black alumni in Atlanta can get shit done- when called upon)

How did Kap look bad when his people signed the "usual" standard contract but the NFL declined it but wanted him to sign that bullshit contract... Not only that, gave him a two hour window to make a decision and then wouldnt even negotiate for certain things..

This is not me talking,Howard Bryant and others been saying this all week. Hell, even the website you posted said the same thing...I dont understand your point.

Again, how are you going to announce a workout but not have everything in order but you when Kap tried push it back a week,so everything is straighten out beforehand, you decline his offer...that doesn't make any sense.

This wasn't a genuine workout period.

I was driving when this story broke last Saturday. I was immediately like  "WTF"? Why? Check the Kaep thread on BGOL going into Saturday. Fucking nothing about this other than him landing in Atlanta on Friday.

Now we all agree the NFL is on fuckery. The problem is I expect more from his people. This some 'round-the-clock' shit. This where you have someone professional thinking of how to handle this via social media while the legal team putting in work. This is when your fucking legal team has to walk and chew gum at the same time. People said it would be malpractice for them to allow him to sign that Wednesday waive, yet they wait until Friday to address it? I'm telling you. He shouldn't pay them clowns shit UNLESS they followed his directions.

This man's reputation was at stake and he was put in a fucked up situation to begin with. I just feel his people dropped the ball big time. We clown Trump all the fucking time, but at least his people know the power of social media and controlling the fucking narrative. This was way too reactionary and the reaction was way too fucking late.

Who on BGOL called that the workout would be moved or any of this shit? Not one person. So if his supporters caught off guard, you know something was handled the wrong way.

Look Fam,

This shit is simple in a big picture.

NFL had to make some effort to "act" .0000001% less black balling Kap by putting the bs together due to the crazy amount of terrible... just plan awful quarterbacking.... I mean since Kap was keptout the league i dont recall another 3 year stretch with so many backup quarterbacks or starters going down I came from an area where there was superstars every year like Jim Kelly Troy Aikman Dan Marino John Elway and they played year after year straight without injury.... I mean I turned on the Pittsburgh Cincinnati game as I've been protesting no consistent supportive football since Kap off and on and I saw two quarterbacks playing I literally had to google as I hadn't heard much about any of them... as I'm an avid college football fan.

That said, I truly believe the NFL knew what they were doing and Kap and his team knew what the NFL was doing or going to do just for the simple fact we heard that workouts are normally on a Tuesday not a Saturday... clearly that was fuckery clue number 1.

The shit happens all the time on smaller scales for example for basic interviews sometimes you know you're not qualified for the job but you still show up for your own plan maybe it's to get interview experience maybe it might be another opportunity you can ask about etcetera when invited and sometimes the interviewer knows you're not qualified for the job but sometimes they have to meet a status quo to have you there or maybe just want to see how you look present yourself or compare you and didn't really intend to hire you anyway.

Now, in this case obviously Kap is qualified for the job and has already done interviews so to speak so why go mini combine interview again or why I even have him come in?

Because both are trying to gain something out of the situation which both know they can't turn down each ones opportunity for public perception.

Since the NFL pretty much had to appear they seek the best capable talent knowing they don't have a talent on the field where Kap is clearly better than some of the starters and the NFL professional teams are supposedly playing at the highest level without the highest talent playing was / is the NFL's dilemma for sure, they had to seem interested in Kap especially with this second lawsuit I understand Kap could pursue.

They thought they could create the narrative while getting Kap to sign over the ability not to sue again.

I believe Kap and his people and or legal team could have found this out early and ended the "show," but Kap chose not to fight the bs fuckery he knew was there and purposely played dumb and short notice "ready" for the great (mirage) opportunity because Kap's plan was to have a plan B in this... a let's play chess move since all of those so-called team reps, and most importantly, media, will be there, so then if i move the location under my terms, just come over to see me work out if it's truly what you want to see and if you don't then I'm still going to videotape my workout for the media and world to see you bullshitin me a job bc I kneeled as you made my protest an issue to lock me out of your professional
league monopoly... as I proved on video that I am still ready and strengthen my second suit.

I believe the NFL just got played... but knew they would create some perception like Stephen A Coon comment... he just didn't want to play in NFL instead of... no he just don't want to be subject to a different normal standard just to MAYBE play in the NFL.

The one thing I've learned about white folks is they still think you're a dumb negro no matter how much education or billions and legal teams you have... just ask B. Allen.

Ihe problem is I expect more from his people.
have you ever worked on an event that had ongoing negotiations with a counterparty or venue upto the actual time of the event?

are you a sports agent? or do you know any?
do you know sports & entertainment law? or have you ever had conversations with a sports& entertainment lawyer?

if you have never done anything like this- how could you have valid expectations?

I was driving when this story broke last Saturday. I was immediately like  "WTF"? Why? Check the Kaep thread on BGOL going into Saturday. Fucking nothing about this other than him landing in Atlanta on Friday.
Kap and team were in Atl on Thursday.... only fools fighting a legal battle do so publicly

the NFL waited until 2.30p to decline the deal breakers
the story is Kaps team made all arrangements for the new location on Saturday morning

hypothetically:
if Kaps team had everything in place since Friday and had told everyone ahead of time about a 2nd location - wouldn't that be proof of bad faith negotiations that will be used against Kap in employment arbitration?

This man's reputation was at stake and he was put in a fucked up situation to begin with. I just feel his people dropped the ball big time. We clown Trump all the fucking time, but at least his people know the power of social media and controlling the fucking narrative. This was way too reactionary and the reaction was way too fucking late.
perfect analogy - and this is why Kap's team now have an air tight case of collusion on the NFL - if he doesn't get hired for 2020 season - they will be in front of the same arbitrator the NFL lost in front of this year...

are you playing for sympathy or to win an ongoing legal battle - cause based on the NFL waiver they were going for the legal win
