Imagine women and how much black women spend on hair bundles $300-$400 for weave
Weave is not necessary and if weave is used it's in at months at a time... Still costly but not so far off from dudes monthly pricesImagine women and how much black women spend on hair bundles $300-$400 for weave
I have a pretty decent barber. He's cool but his shop also cater to other folks too, and when I say this nigga will shuffle and dance for those folks, I mean it.
But yeah, sometimes I won't tip because he has a habit of giving them stellar service and give the brothers less than.
And dude is cool, but he does this shit CONSISTENTLY.
And a fresh line up aint necessary either. Could just get a clipper and go across your own head.Weave is not necessary and if weave is used it's in at months at a time... Still costly but not so far off from dudes monthly prices
Then it's not a habit it's his m.o. so why tip lol
Only cat in the city that's been able to cut my shit right. I sit, give a nod, and he knows what to do. I believe that should be rewarded.
The times I go and the cooning jumps, I get stingy.
It's not a perfect situation, but it's definitely not worth trying to find another barber in the city that cuts right, works well with my schedule, proximity to home, etc...
No need to find another just curious about the situation
Everyone's is different

That’s your justification for overpaying for services? Lol.Pay the man or woman. One of the few black businesses left.
Cutback somewhere else.
Check out the following app https://www.thecut.co
That’s your justification for overpaying for services? Lol.
You are good and generous. I pay $20 plus $3 tip. I’m in Atlanta.I don't think $30 is necessarily overpaying. Back in the day a barber could support their family with their craft alone. Today, many barbers have other gigs. $30 gets maybe 2 customers per hour, more likely one or one and a half. Out of this taxes, supplies and rent must still be paid.
Many brothers wait longer to get their cuts. Many have gone the bald headed route. Less income.
However, most haven't charged $30 per head yet. Mine charges $20 and I give $10 in tips. $10 or $20 extra to help a brother out. I'll skip Outback or su'm.
My barber transitioned over to that app when the prices went up to $25LOL, what you know about that app? My barber trying to get set up with it but he isn't yet. He said the dude that cuts beside him only cuts by appointments using the app (a younger cat).
There are a few of these in Houston in the 3rd Ward areaI just saw a mobile barber shop today
You said a bad bitch... Do you know the definition of a bad bitch? A bad bitc h naturally looks good and literally does lil to have to look good.. A bad bitc h could have a low cut like a dude, a bad bitc h could have an afro, braids, dreads, regular hair that needs a lil brushing/combing... If you want to get technical...so a bad bitc h could literally have a cheap priced haircut/hairdo alsoAnd a fresh line up aint necessary either. Could just get a clipper and go across your own head.
And it is more. I can get a hair cut and it will still look fresh 2 weeks later depending on what size clipper i use 1A or a 2. I could go 1 month easily with light at home maintenance.
A bad bitch who allways has to have her hair done has to drop that money once a month. We talkin $300 a month v.s $30 a month. You can just go back and get a line up which is cheaper
My barber uses it, pretty cool app it shows their available time once you book an appointment it goes to requested the barber will confirm the appointment within minutes you can also pay through the app if they turn on mobile pay optionLOL, what you know about that app? My barber trying to get set up with it but he isn't yet. He said the dude that cuts beside him only cuts by appointments using the app (a younger cat).
$20 bucks flat...
Real talk I’m not understanding this tip logic? If you’re constantly tipping, what happens when you stop??
$7 special on Tuesdays and Wednesday’s around my way!
My barbershop just went up to $25 for a standard haircut.
I always tip $5 on top of the service, but I can't do it anymore.
There's just no way to justify paying $30 for a taper fade.
I can't believe it costs this much to get a haircut now.
Since I don't know how to cut my own shit, I'd been looking for alternatives.
So a friend of mine told me he goes to the barber college near his house to get his haircuts for $5.
He said they give fire ass haircuts and most of the students have been cutting hair for years, but just going to school to do it LEGALLY.
So I took his advice and went to one too.
The haircut I got was actually better than my "go-to" barber for the last five years.
Not to mention I saved $20.
No talking on the cell phone, random arguments, smoke breaks or walking next door to the store.
I was in and out.
I'm not going to my barbershop ever again.
LOL, what you know about that app? My barber trying to get set up with it but he isn't yet. He said the dude that cuts beside him only cuts by appointments using the app (a younger cat).
Franklin Institute13th where that barber school
Man that shit is annoying.I don't like them by appt ass niggas. Don't wanna take walk ins and shits. Them boys don't realize a lot of cats don't want to live by a schedule when they off work. I'm sorry but on my off day I aint sticking to no schedule for a cut. They are a service and need to be available.
